Jimmy Henry vs. Justin Jehst OH SHUCKY DUCKY QUACK QUACK, THE JUSTIN JEHST JUICE IS HERE! The Saxophone Daddy takes on the Bagpipe Messiah as fan favourites clash. Jimmy hits the early major and unloads on Jehst until he tries to channel his inner Jacob Trance and misses a cannonball. After a pin I'd feel a bit bad about doing a move to someone, but it's not against the rules. This match has been perfect so far, you can see each persons character in their moveset. Jimmy is so close to being able to take this one up the road, I thought he'd have his chance off the Bronco. Oh Jim, you were out of reversals, I get that it looked like Justin was going to take awhile though, no consequence though as you get reversed. Good ending, would have been better without the scoop slam before hand. Would like to see these guys go at it again. *****

Code Jackman vs. Tay Terror Tag partners collide. Nice little handshake and some wrestling to begin with, though the lack of any sort of noise has sucked me right out of this. Ahahahaha, he runs right into a massive punch to the face. Terror sure loves that backslide bomb. Nothing much going on, I'd let someone get out of the talk to the ref animation before attacking them. Just a bit of a damage trade off this match. Standing 450 from Tay... Jesus. Should have let him hit you with that chair, advance at all costs! Both have finishers, and are finishable... 3 minutes to go. Okay. Don't run like a bitch when you've been hit with a major, that's some shadey shit right there. Good show of sportsmanship at the end, even if Code deserved to be kicked in the dick for running away. Same as the women's match, Satan-Flakes lost due to certain things I didn't like in a fairly plodding match. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have commentary, or crowd noise, something, anything is better than silence. *****

Tekhanu Jr vs. El Hijo De Mistico Tekhanu's baby boy has arrived in Turmoil and looks set to have masked man match mayhem against Mistico. This entrance is so... Hilariously over the top. Not a fan of this theme, FIIIIIYAAAAH FIYAAAAAAAAAH. BURNS BRIGHT. Though I think there's money in Mistico as an underdog. I'm pleased to see you use the mask I messed around with for you, it's appreciative. Can't stop and then do a strong strike on the ground Mistico, you get a choice of four normal strikes or one strong strike. That stomp move looked so pointless. The movesets in this match compliment each other rather well. Oof, that spinning back slap that floored Mistico popped me. This match is very Lucha Libre like, the bigger guy using a more technical moveset whilst the smaller guy is hitting those strikes and quick moves. Didn't like the finisher attempt whilst T. Jr was held up with the ref. Quite a fan of the pinning exploder finish. Always feel it's a missed opportunity if you don't spin an opponent around off a foot reversal and try to hit something special. Could have watched his a little longer. *****

Flojo vs. Valkyrie Yeah, that's right. I'm reviewing the women. Flojo opens with a major reversal, hits a move and goes for a pin. Bit of a waste of that initial damage burst that gives you a comfortable lead. Valkyrie's actually one of my favourite CAWS this year, great look, puts effort in. Mmm, you got reversed Valkyrie and you instantly went for a grapple, I understand Flojo's rolling forearm is a slow animation but it's still a little iffy in my opinion. Should always try to reverse your opponents diving move and not try to just run at them or strike out of it, that's why Flojo has a broken neck right now and Valkyrie broke her muffin. Almost 3 minutes in and finally a damaged body part, guessing it's about to escalate from here. That butterfly suplex pin is so stupid, the shoulders aren't even down. Hover sig from Valkyrie, massive no-no. Could you argue a redo for this? Maybe, it gave her the finisher that she hit on Flojo, albeit because Flojo went for the super slow elbow again. Much better performance from Flojo, I'd have given out more Satan-Flakes if it hadn't been for the tainted finish. *****

Ricky the Dragon Beefcake vs. Benjamin Moore A more serious appearing Australian Dragon, even heard the crowd boo a little. 25 minutes huh? Well this will be interesting. Benji starts off with a major and doesn't really follow it up. I'd love to see someone just shove Ricky off the top to the outside when he goes for that rana spot. 4:45 before we have our first proper Ricky botch. Benji, if you kick Ricky on the ground you cannot then pick him up and do anything to him, even if it's just an irish whip. Don't understand why you'd bump someone after a major when you're within your rights to beat them up. Guys, when you're reversed (especially when you're out of reversals) please refrain from being a massive cluster of cheese and smash the strike button for all your worth. It's thirsty and won't get you anywhere. Reversing the stomp means you can attack someone as you get up, not reversing and waiting for the auto-reset after four means you can't. That clothesline combo would have been nice into a signature for a false finish, keep that in mind Benji. Beefcake looking to end it and SPLAT. Benji moves. Beefcake takes too long on the second try and Benji crawls to safety. INTENSE. Starting to drag a little, not the finisher kickout fest I was expecting so far though. Two finisher reversals from Benji and I'm swilling him to smash Beefcake with a finisher now. Another one! Come on kid, make yourself famous! Ricky botches. HE GOT IT! LEON AND I'S OLD FI... Oh, a one. :( He got him again! That's two without reply, no! Not enough! The Beefcake Botch Machine is hanging in there. BENJI NOOOOOO. OH YES! And we got a win! Perfectly fair finish, actually fits in with the match. If this had started 10 minutes later than what it did it would have been perfect. *****

Not yet, fair maiden.

Real companies and wrestlers don't exist in OCW lore.
-
Just stand your ground and safety pin Ricky after he headspikes and knocks himself unconcious trying to lock up.
-
Have any of you considered not having an alt when your first character is as bland as soy milk? Probably the reason your alts aren't getting booked, or because your only interest in having a female CAW is because you want a title.

Flojo vs. Karissa Wasn't really into this match, not in a "oh it sucked" kind of way, it just didn't hold my attention very much. It looked like a substantially fairer version of Flojo fighting, I'll say that at least. Stand out moment when Karissa LITERALLY runs into a roaring forearm. Those duck unders into the duck under reversal clothesline was nice too. Karissa getting zero luck with the finisher. Not sure about the pin off of the major that lead to Karissa being attacked as soon as she was up, a bit weird. Longest match on the show and no one has hit a finisher at the 16 minute mark, our first finisher is the only finisher. And it's over. I watched it, but I won't remember it.

Ricky the Dragon vs. Justin Jehst Now baby play that sax. MVP vs MDP (Most dangerous player). Not sure how I feel about the dive straight after the roll out. Nice major off of the suplex but Jehst walks out of his own range and winds up losing his chance. Taunting directly above your opponent as he's getting up? Expect a smack in the mouth. I liked Jehst's little taunt when he went up top for the elbow drop, was nice. Ricky does a pickup sig then presumably goes up top to hit his finisher afterwards, no, bad Dragon! Good win for Ricky carrying on from the battle royale.

CJ vs Mistico IRISH EYES ARE SMILING! Go CJ, go! Mistico shows up wearing some Draven merch, don't think the music fits either, it's a nice song but just not an entrance theme. Another double buff start into... WRASSLIN! Nice clean break from super face CJ O'Irish. Mistico shows the POWAAAH and stops CJ from grappling someone as they get up after a ground strike with a counter powerbomb. Fairly even match, couple of stomps into an attempted grapple by Mistico, can't do that, it's either stomps or a grapple, not both. Well timed major, just a shame the selling animation meant he couldn't get too much of a follow up on it. Another good major, but then a weird glitch after the backflip kick. Careful about running at someone as soon as you're on your feet CJ, could be classed as rushing. Not sure I'm comfortable with the amount of taunting from Mistico, does it border on excess? CJ making a comeback, then misses two stomps on someone with no reversals, even Corey Graves is mocking you. Solid match, feel as if CJ sold himself out by going to the top at the end, and then not allowing Mistico to go for the top rope move and potentially get a match winning major reversal.

So it begins... Jett Draven vs. Frankie G Frankie comes out with pointless pyro and no music, welp... From what I understand he's changed entrances so we'll see what the new one looks like. I can't help but feel like Jett needs new music, his entrance is good, the CAW is good, the music just reminds me of Orton's "Burn In My Light" theme when he had turned heel before they finally bit the bullet and gave him voices. Neither seem to fit a "bad guy" persona. We start the match double buffed, Frankie this a little punch combo and then for some reason backs off and misses his grapple. Nice dive spot off of the roll out and Jett saves us waiting ages by getting Frankie back into the ring. Although, I wouldn't try to stomp him after hitting a dive on the floor that he sold up for. Very well timed major that gives Jett an advantage and keeps the match moving. Ground stomp into what I'm assuming was going to be an attempted grapple from Jett, but it's reversed. A lot of distancing now in this match. Not sure how I feel about running and attacking someone once your're out of the wake-up taunt stun, seems like rushing to me. Frankie begins to make a bit of a comeback. So much move repetition. Frankie hiding at the other side of the ring because he has no reversals and just ran into Jett instead of attacking amuses me. I'd like to see a back finisher started from the back instead of that annoying PUNCH-TURN animation. Good enough match, it felt a bit slow in places even though it was fairly short.

CJ vs Capo Solid match, fun to watch, CJ is quickly becoming my go to guy for matches I WANT to see purely on a competitive basis.

Jookie vs Quartz Will start with the obvious... Jookie hits a finisher before red. (Two in a row now?) Jookie the AJ entrance looks stupid a.f if you're throwing back a non-existent hood. Quartz, your pyro does nothing for you, you barely see it and I think the intro of your song has enough OOMPH to survive without it. - Just my two cents on that. At one point Quartz nails a major reversal, picks up Jookie, enters the front face lock, does a strike, then hits a major grapple. All is well with that, but then, he follows up the pickup knockdown with a ground grapple. Later in the match Jookie seems to be having trouble with... Something... And keeps getting in and out of the ring whilst Quartz is down outside. This leads to Jookie sliding out the ring and Quartz punching him square in the mouth as soon as his feet touch the floor. Need to let a guy transition from inside to out and outside to in guys.

Holy crip it's a crapple!

Only watched the first match, and damn that was a beating. A lot less walking away from Jett, proud of you, only thing, which was completely inconsequential was Cozz managed a reversal and received a forearm to the face for his efforts. Will get round to the rest of the show later.
