Given the wording is 'Submission Finisher', and FPR hasn't changed from as it currently stands(although that might still change), I would imagine it's fine cause you currently couldn't win off it as is.
Going to explain these changes before the sea of 'DON'T NERF ME BRO' posts rise up.
"-10 Tech to All Classes"
This is to remove the ability for those with 80+ tech to automatically gain a chain grapple when they reverse. With the 'No Reversing Chain Grapples' rule, this basically meant they recieved a free move and killed the momentum of the attacker. Me and supporters of this switch believed this made Technical a huge boon since everyone else had to capitalize manually, and faced risk of their capitalization being reversed.
Tech as a stat still has value - as it helps with reversals and increases the momentum gain you get when you reverse someone. There is still a reason to choose the tech class, it's just not as overwhelming as it once was - I think I saw more people picking Technical as a class than anyother by a good margin.
"Removal of Luchadore and Generalist"
90 speed was too fast. It's essentially an instant grapple and basically let them force mash games on command. As the only remarkable feature of Luchadore was the 90 speed, without that, it has no reason to exist so Luchadores become Flyers.
With the Speed Buff to Showman, there is no reason for Generalist to exist as they shared the same important stat spread.
"Only Submission and Stretcher can use Submissions + Nerfs to Submission/Stretcher"
Look at the finisher threads. EVERYONE and their mother was using a Submission finisher. Submission finishers are incredibly powerful this year and we need some restriction on them. So essentially, the catch if you want to use a submission finisher this year, you're going to deal with very subpar stats. Prior to this reworking the Submission classes had slightly better stats, so this isn't as bad as it looks, but they are now designed to be worse than than everyone else. It's the price you pay for a loaded trump card.
"Buffs to Showman/Brawler"
Charisma is a shitty stat. It doesn't seem to increase general momentum gain by much, and from all I've seen, it only really affects taunts. This led to Brawler and Showman, with a focus on Charisma, falling behind. Speed gives Showman a unique stat benefit over other Heavyweight-intended classes. Showman was also intended as the principle Charisma class, so +5 gives them that status over the Brawler. It doesn't really help them worth a damn.
Brawler was a bit tougher. If I gave them +5 Tech, they're essentially Power. If I gave them +5 Speed, they're superior to Showman again. I think the Brawler's spread has its purpose, so I didn't want to delete it. So I'm breaking my own rule by giving them +5 strike only. I might be more open to staggering others if need be, but in practice there's not that much reason to keep them split still as I foresee.
