And not to rain on your parade while the build up for Last years match was nice everyone knew Cross was going to do the job, and the match itself didnt live up to expectations, lest we forget the No SOLD Table lawls.
The point is everyone demands change, change occurs everyone demands the old world? You tell me how does that work?
And theres a stark diff between this years and years past. For once this years event most if not all matches have a thick row of backstory, last year and the year pasts there was buildup for about 50% of the matches with the rest just looking good on paper. This year each and every match with the exception of Matts Open challenge has 6 to 3 months of backstory (that most wouldnt know ) to it.
So yea I think its better.
Now to say it will live up to the hype is on the shoulders of the people booked.

Thats the problem you watch to much WWE and you are used to that tripe. I see Nate and Deano with a 3 month long fued that has far exceeded expectations. Deano didn't like the way Nate was going in his life. Nate replied simply stay out of it. Deano didn't listen and since then the 2 have been at each others throats. The rules are simple 4 men enter, throw in 2 ladders whoever can reach the briefcase receives a tried and true contract for a shot at ANY OCW Championship he chooses. Every Future Investment winner since its inception has gone on to The Main Event, with 2 out of the 3 becoming World Champions. Last year Leonheart won future investment and his career skyrocketed to the top. One can say this can quite simply be put the biggest match of a career. This year we have 4 new hopefuls. Will it be The Steve, a grizzled veteran who has tasted success in OCW before, will it be Frank Smith who has barrelled his way through the OCW Ranks. Will it be Anthony Martin who has the hunger to become the next potential big thing in OCWFED. Or will it be Trips, a young man who has all the gifts and talents needed to reach the top, except for that one chance. We will find out at Wrestlution 4.

You had to know once you put "If you win" How it was going to go. I debate messing with the wording, but frankly allot of people aren't paying attention so it would have been for nothing.
I will say this prior to the read since I watch the matches 1st. I figured towards the end Trips would have said fuck this noise and pedigreed Frank. I woulda Loled and Mark. But oddly enough he didn't match was surprisingly entertaining, even watching BJ Smith do the eugene combo which was so out of place. But hey this is what happens when you have like 5 moves to choose from.

Thing is theres plenty of matches done, its just the matches that are done not to many folks care about said matches. Exhibitions are a cover way to let people who arent booked compete. Actively, but as long as people are writing, matches or not that counts for something.
Everyone said it already Leon vs Smythe is meh, well to me it isnt. But from a storytold standpoint it is. From a competitive standpoint it isnt.
Now you could bring up the whole smythe leon angle from 2007 or was it 2008, but i doubt hardly anyone remembers that.
