Ragtagnarok RP was quality, enjoyed it. Groundskeeper Willie is actually my dad. AC Cobra makes Nintendo references I don't understand. First match was OK (match music was awful), Sid is on about his 8th look/moveset since I joined just over a month ago. American Bad Ass this week. Must have plenty of wrestling costumes in that cleaning closet of his. No idea who Blackjack is, some ageing jobber by the looks of it. Fenton the flake. Jookie does drugs!!! Tre Sold-out got his ass kicked by K. D'Ungaree. Austin Lee is a true heel in the old-school traditional mould. One of the only characters I can't stand. The kind of guy you genuinely want to get beat. Not many else like that, apart from Parker. Poor Saviour - the videos are done well enough, but everybody hates the idea that a rookie is coming to save OCW. If his character shows up as a delusional religious type, that would be awesome. AC vs Rane (match music is awesome) - good match apart from the ending. Good use of hardcore elements. Can we get some cool match types on Turmoil soon? Rhyme Tyme & Mugen RPs were good fun. Much preferred Nathan's previous entrance. Also, battle-rapping is not Nathan's strongest game. Wrestling is not YSL's. Without looking it up, can anyone name the 3rd member of the Crew? Ron is nowhere near as over as his RP suggests. His win cements how bad Austin Lee is. Crowe vs Monster - killer boots man! Oh snap. Where did Crossbones go? Boooooo. Parker. Boooooo. Poor Jooks. Main Event - Mugen was dead by 10 minutes, how did that match go on so long? Good match. Good RP at the end.

This is K. D'Ungaree's year!

In that case, he's not fat. He's just big-boned.

Is Aries scottish?

My man, I had you all wrong. This bit threw me... TARTAN ARMY STABLE IN THE NEAR FUTURE! Your name reminds me of this classic Simpsons gag:

What does the Ragnarok hand sign actually look like? I'm intrigued
-
Yeah, it was late when I watched it, so thanks for reminding me of this. I didn't like it much, and the fact that the guy was called Dr. Samuel L Morgan Luther X or whatever just felt a bit off. It's either badly written by somebody who probably shouldn't be joking about race or its a really well written parody, I'm not sure yet. I'll wait & see how it plays out.

Being face is boring, and it's difficult to stay that way and have fun with it. I had to reject an RP today with someone, because it had me veer too close to tweener. It's just natural to be mischevious, especially in a environment built around feuds. As a new guy to OCW, without knowing all the lore, etc. A lot of my opinion on the character is based on how that person is on the boards. So if there's a disagreement on the board, and I think somebody is backing the "wrong" side of that argument, I naturally transfer my negative opinions onto their CAW, and it sort of makes them more "heel" - to me, as a fan. E.g. Like one of the first weeks I was here, Buddy Burns was pretty critical of people in a post-show thread, so to me the next time I saw Buddy Burns fight, I was like, there's that angry little guy, he's bad, he's heel, lose. Another example, was watching Pugh win his title as a face, then my opinion changing of his character after I heard him drunkenly diss someone for 5 continuous minutes on my first experience of The Desk. These are just a couple of examples, but to me it's a really interesting dynamic, because it's not something I've experienced with "real"/pro wrestling. It's interesting to me, because we have the ability to control that to an extent. I'm also totally aware that its all new to me and that the novelty to all of this will wear off, naturally, especially if you've put a lot of time in over the years - and you feel like you've seen every possible angle, story etc. But just now, I find it all quite engaging.

The way I see it, it could be hard for a faction/stable to make a name for itself with likes of C4, 3K and The Crew all containing established wrestlers. Having representation on 2 shows is going to be good for Ragnarok, particularly if they are a stable showcasing some of the best rookies about. I agree Kass getting his ass kicked on Riot would weaken the Turmoil brand, but he's went up against some of the best around and gave a good account of himself. Plus, he's not gonna hold the Turmoil belt for long.
-
That ending though (loved the production). Inadvertent face - yeah, sure -this has just made him more heel than ever. Ragnarok increasing numbers, eek. Kass I'm not surprised you slimy, camp, vampire, you belong there. But Tre Golden, I am disappointed. You have wrestling credentials, man. You don't belong with these androgynous freaks.

OMG, great episode. I should have went to bed an hour ago!

Leaving me to win the Turmoil title. Turmoil would go mainstream if I was on the front page of this website.

Eugghh Irish whiskey... Real men drink Scotch whisky.

The Tennessee Screwjob! Hoping for a "Mr. Sensation" interview tonight on Riot, saying something along the lines of "Sean screwed Sean".
-
The only problem I have with the ending, is the indefensible change in fonts. PPVs should be controversial, and make you want to watch the next program. Pugh got screwed, Sean got screwed, Cody/Monster didn't really, and there's plenty of scope for storylines going forward.
-
Ooooohhhh, trouble in paradise. I'm just gonna let you 2 punch lumps out of each other next week on Turmoil.
-
Tweener? More like full on baby face. Watching him try & get on that apron was like watching somebody take on Andre the Giant.
-
Was on the pre-show >>> HERE To be honest, it will take more than a few sentences to explain THAT attire. Makes my kilt & blue knee pads look rather dashing.

Kinda feel like The Monster & McGee have been given a bit of a rub here. Intentional or not. The Monster's RP revealing his actions to be a sort of illness brings a bit of sympathy, especially coupled with having his identity used as part of a screw job. And the sense of injustice towards Buffness, got me sort of rooting for these outsiders.

I liked it.

Notes: Abbott vs Henry this Sunday at The Clash!!! Loki McGregor is a cartoon leprechaun. Aries needs help, LOL. Dennis Black lost, before I even see his fight! Wrong order! Psychic spoilers. Hi Sophia! How you doin'? Daryl Bradley you meanie! Loki vs Black, here is the aforementioned phantom fight. Good match. Poor Dennis kept missing springboard moves, haha. His health deteriorated quickly, needs more vitamins. Held on well, considering. Loki can fight. B-17, don't be tempted by fine whisky from Glorius Glorius Scodland!!! Jimmy v Jackson! Pyro, oops! Enjoyed the match, my best so far. Jackmo is badass, not sure that crowd will be booing for much longer. Keep him feuding Tank and he is going over. Austin Lee is a despicable human being. Good main event! Both guys look like superstars. Could have went either way, except I sort of knew otherwise (thanks guys). Should be a good final on Sunday. Both of Tank's RPs were good, bit homophobic, but OK. But I agree with B-17 about continuity. Must have borrowed his car from The Monster. Haha Bradley, karma. Overall, good show, better than 107, sets things up nicely for Sunday. Ron was not missed.

I knew one of those!

Bossman Reigns, haha.
