Moments after the dust has settled in Levi's Stadium, cameras catch up with your reigning and defending OCW World Heavyweight Champion laying flat out in the Gorilla position. Gone is the arrogance - instead, Pugh looks to be physically and emotionally spent. He's breathing heavy and laying, seemingly calmly, in the middle of a hectic production team who are all congratulating each other on the success of the show. As he lays there, clutching the biggest prize in Wrestling, he raises his hand to his mouth, checking for - and indeed finding, a spatter of crimson. He spits the blood onto the ground to the side of him, sitting up to find a figure standing over him. The shot is from behind, all we know of the figure is that he's wearing wrestling tights and looking like he himself has been through the ringer this evening. The unknown solider points towards the title belt which Pugh is now cradling like a small child. Pugh takes a big inhale and grins at the man before spitting more blood onto the floor between him and the man - Pugh hasn't got the strength in his lungs to hit his target on this occasion. The camera pans out to the unknown man shaking his head, still completely entrenched by the darkness of the area. We cut back to Pugh's face, and then back to the wide shot - the figure has vanished almost as quickly as he appeared. Pugh takes in a final deep breath, and falls back to the ground, splayed out, but victorious as the scene fades.
