My Review!

 

Firstly this has been our first show in a while but way to kick things off! I am really liking the discussion and really hope we can keep this up in the upcoming weeks.

Also the new FLV system is great, is a pain to get size and quality decent. I can however see why Jay wanted us to do this. Everything was presented so much better and loaded perfectly.

 

I am going to give matches a rating out of 5, for me to get 5 points what you need to do is… Have a gimmick; make that gimmick work in your matches. That means a mark able move set that fits your dude. Building a match up and keeping me on my toes from start to finish. Always nice to have a good background story. I will give out awards such as bump of the night and match of the night.

 

This week I am doing this review out of memory from last night and today but in future I will be writing a review as I watch each match and rp.

Riot

We’re live from Madison Square Garden and we kick Riot off with no other than Cody Storm. Fuck you Cody you should have cashed in right after he who shall not be named won that belt.

 

Bryan Lee vs. Ace Angel

 

Ace Angel reminds me of Mickey Rourke who played the wrestler. Bryan Lee just likes to kick the shit out of people, them kick combos just make me laugh so hard. Bryan Lee pretty much kicks ass and picks up a win. I think Bryan Lee could do with some anger management classes because he just looked so angry through that entire match.

 

Rating: 2 ½ - 5

 

Lucas Crowe meets Matt Bloom

 

Next we have an RP by Lucas Crowe, going to be honest I never really liked Lucas Crowe just because I hate vampire gimmicks but he has actually started to grow on me.

Note: Matt Bloom is supposed to be Asylum only FAGGOT!

 

Matt Bloom was actually supposed to be black apparently but I think Matt Bloom looks ok the way he is. I pretty much when off the profile picture on the boards haha. Anyway back to topic.

He is supposed to make me laugh but instead I find him a really annoying character and the only funny moment you ever had was slapping Jay in front of millions at Indy Live 2008. Back to topic Fearo tells us that he is thinking and then blabs on forever. He then says Ashley barker stole his title? Ok going to stop this right here! When has Robert Fearo ever won a title and who Is Ashley Barker? I really hope something bad happens to you because I just don’t like you!

 

Then I get to see a advert of a what appears to be someone that is very happy and then gets run down by a car. I hope that happens to Robert Fearo!

Onto the 2nd page and lucky us we get Robert Fearo vs Ashley Who??? This match was ok but I really don’t know who Ashley Barker is and I hate, hate, hate Robert Fearo. The good thing is I love watching matches this year and if I remember correctly Robert Fearo kicked out of two finisher and Ashley what’s his face did the job. Ashley barker I hope you read this. I think you should retire after losing to that abomination.

 

Rating: 0 – This purely on the fact how much hate I have for Robert Fearo and the fact I have never heard of Ashley Barker. You would have got a 1 if you Ashley but ya lost so it’s a big fat ZERO!

Never seen Ghost before but this guy is he even human? He looks like something out of Halloween or some shit like that! Fucking creepy. Then berg comes out and he gets all the girls. I don’t know what to say next. Oh wait now I do. As good old JR would say that match was a SLOBBER KNOCKER! Ghost got his ass handed to him. Berg looks like he could be a huge contender this year.

Next we have a video of a guy called Mez. First time I have seen this guy and he means business. This mother fucker just going around smashing up cars, I seriously not laughed as hard as that in a while. I am looking forward to your match with Pugh even more now.

"The Ego" Paul Pugh vs. Mez Murdock

 

I am digging the intros, love the attires plus the titantrons. This match is one sided but Pugh tries to fight back. I like this because Pugh is like a underdog and even though he is getting his ass beat makes some nice comes backs that have me pulling for him. This match is match of the night for me at this point even though it was one sided due to the build up and introductions before the match. Mez picks up his first win.

 

Match Rating: 3 ½ - 5

 

Ghost Failed

 

Yeah Ghost you’re damn right you failed and I take it Mayhem is your master. Mayhem you need to sort your boy out. You need to give him a makeover because he creeps me the fuck out and less of a jobber! Get him talking to Satan that will do it!

Speaking of spoon Hostile is here and he talks to the spoonman. I don’t like this rp because I don’t feel like this is Chris Mania. The Chris Mania I knew would have given these two assgoblins a CFC by now.

 

EX Battle Royal

 

On a serious note… Brandon Hostile I hate your theme, it’s awful really awful. My eyes and ears bleed and I know you may like heavy metal but this is awful. I don’t think this even fits your character at all. I just really hope you change it to something more fitting. I love Hazards theme. Jookie cracks me up all the time and then we have the crowe minion. I don’t think Lucas Crowe would be impressed watching this as his dude is taken out in minutes by none other than Hazard. This match has some really nice spots including the two dive of the turnbuckle by Jookie and Haz. I couldn’t help root for Hazard when he pinned Jookie but then was pinned by the EX champion.

I noticed Hostile went for the arms a lot in that match, if you’re turning into a sub guy I like it. I hope you make it work and make the EX championship mean something again, Just please get rid of that awful theme.

 

Hazard I love to see you work on your character, I know you struggle a bit though so if you ever need some help just aim me and I will try and help you. You stood out the most in that match so would like to see you go further. Going off topic a sec hazard has got a lot of stick and on the boards he hasn’t helped himself and in some cases come across as an idiot but others have done the same. On aim you have helped me and Aries a number of times and helped me with my HD PVR when I first got it. You’re not stupid and sure you can go somewhere if you put your mind to it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, KD beat on this mother fucker. Good Stuff, KD this was your biggest moment in OCW ever by beating this cocksucker. This is the first time I have ever marked for KD but on a serious note. KD I know he countered it but when you do a move such as the heart punch, due to animation of them falling looks meh when you try to strike them after it. Just think ethics. KD your theme sucks ass please change it and he who shall not be named new theme is actually decent. I still hate you.

Extreme, you don’t know what extreme is! LSD vs Matsuda!

 

Mez vs Pugh was my MOTN until this match happened and I will tell you why I pick this match so far. One LSD trying to hit Suda from the outside but fails and goes through the table. That was bump of the night without a doubt. Love the beginning when Luke tries to grab a weapon but Suda gets sick of waiting and comes out and hits him with the stick. Some people might find Suda style annoying because he is fast but I love it. He brings something new and exciting the way he plays. He is one fast mother fucker but when he gets caught he can be easily damaged. Luke had a hard time catching him but in the end picks up the win. This match was different and I pick this as my MOTN unless Dupree and Crowe can overtake it, we will see.

I was looking forward to this match and it was a good match but it didn’t beat Suda vs Luke. Defiantly back and forth, a certain recorder needs to download some new music as he uses same music all the time like that limb biscuit one. Lazy Fukker! I wasn’t a fan of the finish, some might say I am being picky but honestly don’t see Lucas Crowe as a guy that should be making people tap out. He just doesn’t come across that way whereas Dupree does because that’s his style of fighting. Lucas is more of a brawler in my eyes. Not taking away from the match because it was good just some good old constructive criticism.

 

Rating 3- 5

 

Not going to review the main event but glad people enjoyed it.

P.S Go easier when performing dives, the ring is still not stable from when Jacob Trance used to compete. I had to lose a few pounds but TNA might be a good idea for Jacob because he could do with losing some weight ^^

In no particular order...

 

Cody Storm; WTF happened to you, I know your in college and all. But Matsuda is here, and he's probably getting laid more than you and still hasn't flaked. I knew you weren't gonna win the title, although I was interested in seeing what happens to the FI. You getting shat on by Our Hero was probably the highlight of your career lol.

 

Pugh I really dig your character, I mean I see the Ziggler resemblance but then again I don't. Your background of your caw, and your fighting style differ. You pretty much just jacked the look, but I still like. Loved the rp, especially since you also mentioned Ambition! Fighting you was also a blast, you should of worked on my legs more, that Cloverleaf would have ended me the 2nd time. Definitely looking forward to seeing your work in coming weeks.

 

Omar Gibbs you should of had a match. But that didn't stop you from dropping a solid rp. Very interested in seeing what your caw looks like. I haven't been hyped for a rookie debut in awhile.

 

Hostile you are the angriest midget i've ever seen. you have a gyrating title and kick people in the face, what's there not to like? You showed us why your Ex champ in a pretty entertaining match. I like your moveset, even tho i'm tired of the CM PUNK kick, damn near every Ex guy has it.

 

Hazard you look EXACTLY the same, like did you import your caw from svr lol? You put on a hell of a fight against Hostile, but i'm not as sold on you as everyone else. I can't hate tho, you definitely did good. Let's see how u do next week and i'll be looking for the bandwagon.

Matsuda you have to be the most hilarious Asian midget since the guy from Hangover. Not to mention your one of the most versatile writers we have. It's great to see him as a face, the whole Anime feel is awesome. And the addition of your sister is icing on the cake lol. Your match with LSD was crazy, you guys haven't faced one on one since that other A show. A rehabbing drunk and a cursing Jap, pure entertainment.

Rebelution digging the duo this week. Jook made short work of Phoenix in the 4wayi believe, didn't come out with the W but decent performance. And your rp with KD was spot on, expect it wasn't placed before your match for better effect. Either way good shit.

 

KD you put Dane down. But that's this game, sometimes if you hot your hot, and if you cold you get smashed lol. And that was pretty much it. KD you do need a new look, that would atleast give the illusion your changing something. Jook please stop taking styling tips from Smythe, and stay out the sun there guy.

Ghost i like your character alot. Has a look that makes him standout. And we definitely need something to fill that dark void left by 'Hem. I'm not much for rps after the match, but this was a perfect situation for it. Nice to see there's some association with monster himself. Came up surprisingly short in your match against Iceberg, but i'm sure you'll bounce back quickly. And you and KD have the same entrance damn near lol

 

Iceberg you got the upset of the night, but then again you've never really had a decent connection until now. So maybe Ghost was the underdog lol. Always dug your caw, wish i could see more content from you. i'd like to know what your hoes are up to from time to time lol.

 

Dane your rp game is awesome, the first time around lol. Dane Appreciation Night was great, but then u reminded me of it, then you got out your car. I was sold on the first rp, don't rub it in. Love the graphics, look and new music, but still hate your face lol. You lost to KD in a squash, oh well theres next week ol chap!

 

Bryan Lee, the Braided Brazilian Flyer, dig the look, hate the CM PUNK kick. put in short work against that awesome looking Ace Angel caw haha. This was a good short to the point match, had so aerial action. I love the show starting off with a Ex match, sets a nice tempo.

 

P.S. You know if you struggle doing your finisher maybe you should try something more your size lol

 

Aries is it like your god giving duty to put on awesome matches? Seriously can you just botch a move to make me feel better about my matches lol. You deserve as much praise as anyone. You put on 2 great matches in one night, one in a cell against the Retiring Wrestling Machine, and another against a 400 lb People Eater. And you fucked up Cody Storm. I'd say you had a hell of a night!

Leonheart your back again? i've been here one year to this week and you've retired like 3 times lol. But that's your MO, and i'm cool with that. It wouldn't have been an awesome Riot if you didn't make a comeback. Not sure if i like the new look, but i don't really dislike it either, have to get used to i guess. Either way great match, glad your back.

Patolomai when I saw the pedals fall i nearly fell out my chair. the show was already at it's peak, and then you cashing in the FI, and battling Aries in a short but sweet match. i literally was shouting at the pc, i marked so hard i had to take a few tokes to grasp the situation. with you as the new World Champ it ushers in an epic start to a new season. welcome back Fato haha.

 

Our Hero and Lord Shark, the fact that you made an appearance from your mysterious worldly travels to unleash an onslaught on a dumpster, i laughed and felt a little sad for emo cut. only a little tho. then Sharkness backhands the mess out of him, that was classic, i expect no less! can't have a great show without the hnic.

 

Gameplay, theres a lot of people with other peoples moves, including me. I hope that disperses as the weeks go on. No reason to have someones finisher as a regular move, i plan on checking the list and making sure i haven't snagged someones sig or fin.

 

I think the end of matches are alot more dramatic, overall the game looks good. Even with limited rules nobody seemed to layout the cheese. that's why the show didn't miss a beat, the matches were enjoyable.

 

if any and everybody is going to be using comebacks, i damn sure deserve one lol. i had the same one as Haz, but i make it look way better with 3 Clicks to Calgary. it should definitely be limited to faces, besides maybe Orton or Takers which can be heels i guess.

 

Final Thoughts, I know this is cliche' at this point but this was a ppv quality Riot. Like it lived up to the hype. you can't have a SUPER ULTRA MEGA DELUXE Riot and flake on it. everybody from page one to six put on possibly the best Riot i've seen since i joined. Great Job Everyone!

Sucka gave a good match as always....so close Tibby..so close.....[ as for the sub finisher , I like it on Crowe, he isnt a guy who makes you tap out, but that sub looks like it mangles and contorts you, and looks good, plus its not an auto-win sub, as I have to work the legs if I stand a hope of it working, so I have to fight a different style to what I'm used to]
