Michael Hollywood Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 We had another good episode of Ambition and I see no reason why we can't continue to be productive and continue to produce quality episodes going forward. I love having Bombshell matches on Ambition each week but didn't we have a bombshell four way last week? I think we should mix it up each week we could have easily have had a triple threat or even two bombshell matches this week. I agree with some of the other guys I would love to see a full bombshell division complete with a title it would add some extra flare to Ambition. Raze vs KD was a good match with Raze coming out on top and still undefeated and he's not ashamed to let everyone know about his record. Next week they do it again in a rematch, whats that sound? Is that the sound of a back breaking in the Black Rack? I guess we will find out next week. Chris Moore continues to look better each and every week. I would love to see him get a big win preferably out of nowhere against a vet a have a 123 kid kind of story going if anyone remembers that storyline from back in the day. Pugh vs Mugen for the Hardcore Championship was nothing short of brutal and I almost thought we were going to see the title change hands but Pugh held on and retained it in a very good match. I like having Pugh defending his Hardcore title here on Ambition as it adds a extra element to the show however since he is defending it on Ambition I would love to see a rookie get a shot at it and if a rookie were to pull off the upset title win that would be huge for Ambition. Scofield vs Frost was still a very good match even with Scofield starting the match already hurt and in the red. Scofield even after being injured early in the show did not disappoint his fans as he came out and fought injured like a true hero. I know there was a FPR issue at the end but Scofield caught it and made it right. I really enjoyed this the match. The written content for this show was good as well. Scofield's Rp following his attack was good and showed him as a true fighting competitor and made him look very strong. We had more good work from Frost really showing his focus on working hard to make himself a success in OCW, how could any fan not rally behind that? Again a good Ambition with stories being told lets keep it going. 8 1x OCW Television Champion
Justin Raze Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Okay first of all I want to say good job to everyone on this past Ambition match, both on the RP side and the competition side. Everyone really is getting better and better in everything after each week. Anyway, lets move on to a review rather then having everyone arguing in this thread. Bombshell Match: Okay, I didn't watch this match because I typically don't watch the Diva's matches. If there was a story to go with them I may watch them but I just don't get as much excitement from them as watching the main matches. Justin Raze vs K. Dangelo: Okay it was a great match. I honestly felt through most of the match that KD was going to destroy me with his big ass guy, which he pretty much did. KD was a great competitor and really laid down the beating on my guy. I honestly did not expect myself to be able to get out of either of his submissions when he put them on me but thankfully I did. The whole match KD really did great at being technically sound and a really good job of mixing up his move set to make the match great. As for my side I definitely need to continue to work on the hovering which I am starting to do better about thankfully. I felt that I could be better about getting my move set down to memory so I can make the matches look better and smoother. As for my finisher and to make Leonheart feel better I have changed my finisher because I really am trying to find my own unique finisher which I can call mine which is kind of difficult coming into OCW so late when almost everything has been taken. I really am looking forward to this feud continuing and to see what comes of it. Michael Hollywood vs Chris Moore: What can I say but...GREAT MATCH. Every week I love watching Chris's matches because they are worth watching. I continue to see Moore improving in the ring every week and his attire continues to look as solid as ever. Chris looked great during this match, really giving Hollywood a run for his money. I will say Chris really took a beating during this match but he still went toe to toe with Hollywood. As for Hollywood he continues to perform like he usually does. Really loved his RPs and his match for this Ambition. I am excited to see what comes out of the rematch between Hollywood and Scofield when ever that happens. I honestly expected Chris Moore to win this match for a while. Pugh vs Mugen: Always got to love Extreme Rules Matches lol. Loved the use of weapons and everything during this match, simply wonderful. It's always wonderful to watch Pugh defend his title whether its on Riot or Ambition. Pugh really does have to be on his toes because he defends his title all the time and I think he really does a great job at it. Mugen, you gave a lot of effort but if it wasn't for Pugh's damn Submission I think you would be holding the belt at the moment. Eric Scofield vs Tobin Frost: Okay, this match totally surprised me for a couple of different reasons. First of all, Tobin Frost. This man went beast mode this match, simple as that. Sorry Scofield but I have to say Frost dominated you this match and he did a good job at it. When seeing what happened at The Clash, I didn't know what to expect from him and to say the least, he has totally proven my thought process wrong. I see Frost as a solid rising star, maybe even a soon to be threat to Scofield for the title because a win over the champion should gain some pretty big momentum for him. Next, Scofield. I do have to say you really played your part well in this match, even adding the injured arm into the picture from the incident with Hollywood which caused the match to be mnore difficult for you. You really did great during this match, still being extremely technical and putting up a great fight but ultimately having the injury from Hollywood cost you in the end. I do have to say I was totally surprised by the end of this match and the outcome. Ultimately, everyone did great and I expect Ambition 48 to be just as great and I get more excited as we draw closer to Ambition 50 and to see what that has in store for us. 6
Eric Scofield Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Hollywood, great RP as usual. Great job on turning the crowd on my side. It's much more believable that way than me just writing that the crowd is cheering. Also every time you refer to Scofield as an "MMA reject" I cry a little on the inside :( All Scofield wants to do is fight in the UFC. Dupree/Hollywood RP was really great. The conversation seemed realistic and I love how you guys made it obvious that something is in the works but didn't hint to what is going to happen at all. I'm really looking forward to seeing what comes from the partnership between a Riot wrestler and Ambition's most watched rookie (aside from Scofield of course) Tobin, I really like your character and the unique RPs you do every week. It's never just a random promo talking to the audience or to the crowd. It's always something interesting. I like that you referenced the fact that Scofield wouldn't be fighting at 100%, and still made sure it meant something if you're able to win your match. The injury felt like an on-going theme through out the show and it made the whole situation feel real as opposed to just a random beat down and then no mention of it later on. I'm sorry you weren't able to fight me at my best, but I'm sure when you do, it'll be for higher stakes like the TV Title. KD/Raze, I'm looking forward to seeing your rematch. Raze has been pushing his undefeated thing for a while now so I know KD is gonna try to put a beating on him. Pugh/Mugen, I have no idea what was going on in your promo. That's just because I'm new here so I don't know any characters or old plotlines but I had no idea what was happening. I don't know what Gaijin of the Year was or Bill Pine so yeah. I was lost. Leonhart thanks for recording the main event and I really loved your commentary during the entrances. It really made the event feel important and it made the entrances interesting to watch. It was a great way to build up the match. 7
Chris Mania Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I haven't watched a show from start to finish in years, enjoyed every second of this one. Hollywood is EVERYWHERE no wonder he calls it his show. Was not expecting Raze to go over KD, dudes a beast, I see good things in his future and I'm looking forward to seeing how he handles his first loss, whenever that may be... Hollywood vs Moore was awesome, really enjoyed this match sans hearing FUTURE FUTURE, THE FUTURE! every couple of seconds. Hardcore Title match was great and brutal, some wicked spots, was in the party when this match was done and by the reactions I knew this was gonna be a good match even though I told Pugh I wouldn't watch it... Was rooting for Mugen but, ughhhhhh Skid Ego flukes another one. Scofield vs Frost, I loved how it had been built up from the start of the show and the commentary in the intro was a great touch, I gotta respect a dude who carries an injury into a match, and it's good to see Tobin's got the hang of a powerbomb, which he demonstrates quite a number of times. Keep up the good work... 5 EST. 2006 http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c47/Spoonermania/CFC.jpg - GET BEHIND ME AND SING, CAUSE EVERY HERO GOT A THEME SONG - http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c47/Spoonermania/the_steve_userbarcopy.jpg
Leon Valentine Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Can I just say I am a huge mark for Michael Hollywood. I loved Ambition and it was even better than last weeks. I know we lost a few rookies earlier this year but it’s like Jay always says. We get a couple of people in at once and we always manage to find a few decent people out of them. Justin it wasn’t really a dig at you about the RKO. I was aiming it more at guys like KD who have been here so long and then give our main finishers to alts. The RKO is just one move that not just you but a lot of people like to take and I understand where you are coming from about finishers being taken. Honestly I think Justin is quite a big guy and the RKO didn’t quite fit him imho. I am sure you will find something more suiting and there is a lot out there. Now I did do something with Knox a week back but it didn’t make the show so it will be on next weeks. ^^ As always these are my own personal nominations... Match of the night – You know who I am giving this too. KD vs Justin Raze. All though I wasn’t a fan of the finish not because I use the RKO as such but just because I don’t think it fits him. However I do like Raze and this match was a pretty decent match. I didn’t expect Raze to win but you did and well done. I am going to be honest and say I don’t usually enjoy a match when KD is in it but I think you are finally starting to listen to people and as of late I actually do enjoy watching KD. Role Play of the night – Has to be the first RP on the show for me which is Michael Hollywoods. All that’s stuck in my head when watching and reading your RPs now is “Future, Future, Future! Exactly as Chris Mania said, you really are the future Holywood. Shocker of the night – was defiantly Raze beating KD. Who stole the show – This is always a hard one because I see lots of people putting in a lot of work. But I’ll give this to Hollywood and Eric Scofield. I loved everything that led to main event match. Great job. Quote of the night –This… HOLLYWOOD: “First of all I need security to go and check out the men's restrooms. There have been reports of a pervert hanging out in there holding up a belt that says something about hardcore action and it's believed he is using it for a sign to proposition people letting them know what he wants.” LMFAO!!! Honourable mentions – Eric Scofield without a doubt. You have already impressed me in recent weeks but you won the TV championship and I see you doing something with it. Everything you did this week was awesome. I did enjoy your match with Toby and I got a front row view of it haha. It just didn’t make MOTN for me because you started of injured. I think it was a great touch but the finisher kick outs did take away from the match but I know the last one wasn’t intentional. None the less keep up the good work and things are only going to get better for you here. Tobin Frost another guy that impresses me. You have improved on the sticks and I always enjoy reading your written work. Tobin comes off as a guy who looks frustrated but like every other celebrity you want your name and picture on a wall. I really can’t wait to see where you go with him. KD you have started to impress me. I see you taking time out to help people record matches and you also seem to be trying to help the new generation of OCW. Your matches are improving so please keep it up. Tibby’s RP‘s were nice as always. I would like to see a little bit more from guys such as Mugen and Chris Moore. Your matches were fun to watch but I just really want to see more from you guys on the content side of things. If you guys need any help my aim is mattyversion1. This is more for Chris Moore as I know Mugen has been here nearly as long as me but I am still happy to help if you need it. It also took me a while when I first came to OCW to find what I wanted so if you need any help just aim me. Another great show though so well done guys. Keep it up. 6
Pugh Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 We have the thinnest Roster of 'rookies' since we rebooted ambition, yet we're getting a much better quality of show than we did a month or so ago. Like I said when the exodus happened, it's quality over quantity, and right now we have 5 or 6 guys busting their humps for ambition... And they're earning their plaudits, not just demanding them. 5 No.

Pugh Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I think more vets should pop "down" every now and then. It's cool that KD and Raze are setting something up, maybe Chris Moore can get himself a vet to work with. People forget that they can use Ambition too - that's why I'm trying to bring the Hardcore title across more often 1 No.

People forget that they can use Ambition too - that's why I'm trying to bring the Hardcore title across more often I agree with Pugh on this. Having vets come down here and there only helps the show and us rookies. I think when vets come down more of the other vets are inclined to watch our show and add to our discussion and it also give us rookies a chance to work with a vet who can call us out when we make a mistake with any of the FPR or anything. We as rookies probally wouldn't call each each other out on it as much because we all are in the same learning process. 1 1x OCW Television Champion
