Matsuda Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Sheeeit I botched and forgot to add Sco's part to the promo, heres the whole thing for those of you who are so inclined... Eric Scofield's music hits the speakers as he appears on the entrance ramp. His title is over his shoulder but he looks pissed. He is holding a microphone in his other hand, and he walks down the ramp and into the ring. He lays the title on the turnbuckle before he begins to speak. Scofield: When I came into this organization, about 6 months ago, there probably wasn't a single person here who knew my name. But now... you know it and you all know it well. I am one of the newest members of the entire roster and yet I have held two titles in my short time being here. Not only have I held two titles.. I have lifted those titles to a level that they were never at before. Scofield: See, no one cared about the TV Title until I had it. You think Sean McGee and Tobin Frost had one of the best matches last week because it was the "TV Title"? You think there were four top superstars in a number one contenders match because it was just "TV Title"? No. It was because I held it. I put a legacy behind it. I put the work into making it a prestigious and sought after title. Scofield: And now.. what happened with the Ex Division title? With this title right here? Scofield points at the title on the turnbuckle. Scofield: Who cared about it before last week? How many fighters did you see trying to get it? No one cared about it. No one wanted it. I took it, and I elevated it to new heights that no previous champion of the Ex Division ever could. And what happens right after I win it? We got a guy like Matsuda coming out of the back to try to claim it. Scofield: I came out here a few days ago on Riot and I said I would be defending my title weekly. I said I would hand over my title to the first person that could beat me fair and square. But Matsuda has "the first right to a title shot." So now I can't deliver on my promises until I get rid of him. And Matsuda couldn't fight me on Riot. He can't fight me next week. He can't fight me the week after. No, Matsuda needs until the next pay-per-view to fight me. Because Matsuda needs time to prepare against an opponent like myself, against an opponent unlike any he has faced before. Or.. or is that not it? Maybe he's scared? Maybe he should explain himself. Scofield: So Matsuda.. Scofield looks down towards the entrance ramp. Scofield: Matsuda why don't you get your ass out here so you can explain to all the fans why you're too scared to face me right now? Why don't you come and apologize to these fans for preventing me from putting on title matches for them. Why don't- The unforgettable introduction of Matsuda's infamous entrance theme stirs the capacity Ambition crowd into a frenzy, a mixture of cheers and boos ring out for their home grown superstar--mixed emotions apparent in the inconstancy of their cheers. Scofield looks towards the ramp, mouthing the words, "Its about damn time." Matsuda: I get it. I get it. You're new here, so you still obviously have a piss poor understanding for how things work around here, Derrick. As the smoke beneath the X-Tron disperses, it becomes apparent that Matsuda was in fact not in the arena, but live, via satellite from an undisclosed location in the lap of luxury, dressed in a military green jumpsuit and oversized sunglasses. Matsuda: First rule when dealing with real talent, I don't show up to a "D" show that hasn't been worth a damn since me and my OMG compatriots graduated two years ago. Do you honestly thing anyone gives a flying f*** about you Derrick Scofield? Or that schizophrenic negroid Tobin Frost? And especially that generic, random, wannabe Justin Raze! You think that the man who couldn't beat my fatty-fat-fat-fat announcer elevates my title? Matsudas lips twist into a stern frown. Matsuda: No. Because people like you elevate nothing. All you do is bury months of hard work rebuilding a division under the dank soil of your mediocrity. You are nothing and you will never be anything, which is why I must destroy you. Matsuda: You see because while you are still nothing you have become slightly more than meaningless, Derrick. You have become a symbol. A symbol to those losers in the back that they can achieve something beyond that passable TV Title. You give them hope that if they work smart enough and fight hard enough that they two can become the top of their division… But they're wrong. Matsuda: You are and forever will be a fluke. A victim of circumstance, the only competent competitor against two shucking and jiving Bebe's kids rejects. You don't know real competition, because you haven't faced Matsuda. And despite what these fans want… The mixed arena falls quiet, hanging on the dear leader's every word. Matsuda: MATSUDA is not here to entertain you, them or anyone else in this filthy overweight country! Whatever mixed crowd reaction he garnered has faded, and the arena boos him fully. Matsuda: But I respect your delusion, Derrick. I really do. So what do you say, we call a truce until the pay per view on MY show, Thursday Night RIOT? The X-Tron fades to black and we see Scofield begin to speak but his microphone is cut. He angrily tosses it to the ground. Matsuda: Shh…. The villain gets the last word! Scofield is livid, and the scene fades. 1
