Pugh Posted November 11, 2015 Author Posted November 11, 2015 Good eye not many people remember Seanys got the F.I. Hell he coulda cashed in during the opener (if he knew :P) New season anything can happen. But you know what WILL HAPPEN? Mugen getting a fat lip for bad mouthing me. Seans been holding that FI case about 8 years. Surely its expired by now 2 No.
The Monster Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Most of the discussion thus far has been on the commentary so I'm not going to say a whole lot about it, but I do think it made the matches more interesting overall. I think it'll get better over time, from what it sounds like this is only the first time it's been attempted, so you have to imagine those doing it will grow with it. Also, I'd love to take a stab at it myself if you all ever have someone missing on the team. Riot started off fast paced with the owner and the world champion coming out and having some words. It's a traditional power struggle and one that's always interesting to see it played out. Then we get the return of someone who based on the commentary is pretty storied in OCW. I think this is why the commentary is important. I know OCW has been going for years, but with this being a new season and there being so many newcomers I was hoping we'd get a bit of a summary from a lot of these long standing characters. Obviously we'll learn about you as time goes on, but I felt like I was playing catchup for a good part of Riot (but I suppose that's part of being new). KD vs Spider was great, if one sided, KD is HUGE! While I was watching this match I felt like if Spider could just hang on and get through it, it was going to be the toughest one for him. The size advantage was David and Goliath proportions and Spider's strengths match up better against others in the tournament I would think. KD won though, and he may very well power his way right to the World title match. Cut-Throat gets my vote for best attire, and definitely most entertaining RP of the night. Guess his name is Crossbones now though. Just when I start learning some names, you change them. So that's cool...... I'm so glad that's what Nathan Carter looks like, because when he kept calling himself Leather Daddy I was expecting a more dominatrix style attire and only eye sore causing images came to mind. Jookie (or Jook? I'm not sure anymore. The commentary team said he was now going by Jook, but he called himself Jookie in his RP) kind of got whipped. Which I wasn't expecting given how they talked up he's a former Ex champion and all. Maybe that means great things are ahead for Carter? So adapt or die is apparently slang for beat the shit out of anyone you come across now. So that's good to know. Mugen came out just to insult the owner and the network I guess? I really think if that gold suit were to manifest itself in real life we'd all have gone blind. At least he'll make for a better candidate than Trump! Smythe next time you want to hand out a shot at a World title shot, holla at your boy! Lots of content from rookies, I'm not entirely sure what to make of them yet. The next few weeks ought to be interesting as we learn more about their characters. Pugh pulls some double duty to advance to the world title tournament. After watching the matches, so far at least I think it may come down to he and KD. Mugen vs Buffness was a good match. The commentary kept mentioning a case that Buffness has. I'm assuming it's like WWE's MITB, but I'm not really sure. Kind of glad Mugen won then because now that Buffness is out of the tourney he could throw a wrench into the winner's plans. 6

We can do something to throw some more lore into the mix. Funny thing about Carter is he was eager to play he hopped into some DM's and had some kind of leather thing on his chest. To which everyone lost there god damned mind and started calling him LEATHER DADDY. Rather than whine and be like "Cmon guys im cool man" he said screw yall, ima make this my gimmick. And thus NATHAN "LEATHA DADDY" CARRRRTEERRRRRRR was born. His uncomfortable moveset is going to be a hallmark soon enough. So the lesson in all this? Adapt! Learn! Have Fun, and most of all TASTE THE MUSTACHE! D.Y.Nasty Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Part 2 The Mugen promo was pretty good. Got some cheap pops and took some shots at the GM. I liked it. Short but to the point. The Smythe promo was interesting. He’s too good to wrestle in a venue this small. Pretty nice. Not sure what the real story is but in character, great heel tactic. Making himself to sound too good for cheap TV. I liked the match with Raze and portman. I was a little confused with Portmans moveset. Not sure if he was a powerhouse, brawler, or roughneck. I like Raze’s style. Smash mouth and hard hitting. Not too many flashy moves but effective. It was a solid match and I can see match flow in this game is much better. Not sure who got KO’d by security but I guess after getting super kicked and damn near elbowed to death, it was time for retaliation. Flyboy messed with the wrong one. Matsuda is a character I’m quite interested in. He speaks intelligently and demands his presence is felt. And besides. What does everybody want? “KIIIIIICKS” What does everybody need? “KICKS” All you need is a kick in the face. Very short promo but nicely done. Pugh vs Crowe was a decent match. I like the Show off style of Pugh. A whole lotta flash. The match itself flowed very good. The reversal animations being different helps a lot because I was honestly shocked at the number of reversals in the match itself. These two play good off each other. Seems kind of small to do a pedigree but it’s fitting because it’s not a lifting move. Match seemed short but was still a good one. The hooded man and the monster scene was really interesting. Not sure who either of these two are but I like where the story is going. The monster who is now just a relaxed, law-abiding family and the man trying to bring the monster back. Not sure of what’s going on but I like the direction. Seems like the monster of which the hooded man is expecting in almost ready to go. Interesting. Not too sure of what to take from that scene with Xander. Pretty cut and dry and short so we’ll see where it leads. AC Cobra made me have a terrible flashback. I remember returning a game I paid $40 for and they tried to give me like 5 bucks. So pissed. Interesting to see all the stories of what everyone has been doing since the shut down. Very interesting talk between Raze and Trance seeing that these two could possibly face off. Kind of reminds me of when Batista won the Rumble and Trips was convincing him to not face him. I get the vibe that Trance isn’t really worried about facing Raze or worried that Raze won’t do as he should….but Trance is putting a lot of pressure on Raze because he basically told him that he needs to win this tournament. All I gotta say is, I hope Raze does because it sure doesn’t look good if he doesn’t. I liked the main event as well. I didn’t like seeing the same combo twice tho. That corner smash into turnbuckle followed with the Alley oop bomb. Not sure who’s idea is it but it’s a nice combo if it’s only seen once. Good match tho. Saw a lot of high flying from quite a large competitor but athleticism has no restrictions. Second rope swanton caught me off guard. I liked the flow and I liked how Buffness went from flashy to beat down in a split second. I wasn’t a fan of seeing clotheslines as I was hoping to make that my thing but it was nice to see a little of Mugen. Would have liked to see more of his moveset but a solid match and I do fancy that packaged piledriver. Overall, really good show. Pretty excited to be here and get going as matches look a lot better than I’ve seen in a while. Did see a lot of people using the same moves. Some guys moves didn’t fit too good and others were perfect. Would like to see more people with exclusive moves and I’m sure that will happen over time. Nice way to kick off the season. 4
The Monster Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I don't actually think we should adapt. If you look at Spider it seems to damn the soul.

Smythe gimmick and well his IRL persona. He is fking delusional, like im not even joking LITERALLY DELUSIONAL. He was booked in the Main Event and even that alone he brings a Jabrone! to take his place, in delicious irony costing him a shot at the Belt. Also take note this isn't the way to do things, if you have a match do your match, if you have to sub then sub, but don't gimmick sub a nobody for your match ESPECIALLY without clearing it with management. It's the reason why he was buried on commentary, but it was green lit because it was so hilarious because once again he took himself out of contention. It should be noted when Smythe spews his horseshit at time he is spot on like 1000000% lazer beam hit the nail on the head. But the other 80% its very. http://e.lvme.me/5f7waqp.jpg 1 Welcome to OCW, keep tough skin, speak your mind, and most of all have fun.-Betterness "I'm going to be brutally honest here guys... all we really need for a good Riot is a few RP's from Our Hero himself... he's an awesome writer!!!" - Smythe CCWJustinTime: just funny how the shit i do goes un appreciative [10-01, 00:19] Jookie Marley: fuck u nigga [09-01, 23:50] Mr.Bentley: uploadafraud.com [09-01, 23:45] Jookie Marley: what website do we use 2 upload now? Smythe D. Wonder Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 This show was damn near perfect... Not knowing that you guys were having a number 1 contender tourney kind of sucked. I also wasn't here for a year and am not interested in a number 1 contenders tournament as much as I am for being stability to the e-fed as a whole. Ron Portman will be a newly developed character and I think that it was a good idea to bring him in. The story was fitting of a Smythe move and in the end if I had Raze's entrance theme it would have been great TV... Not a huge fan of the commentary and I would rather the music than to hear people who aren't in character talking over the fighting so most times I just left it off. But I'm sure it's a work in progress and it will get better. I'll review the show late4 tonight!!! Signature 1 - The Alpha Heel Signature 2 - Spear 5 (F) - Stargazer Finisher 1 - Flapjack 2 (F) - The SDW Finisher 2 - Reality check (G) - Dawonderful Dream Finisher 3 (i'm cool enoigh to claim 3 moves) - The Darkside - THe Million Dollar Dream
