Smythe D. Wonder Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 this was a solid Riot... 3 nice storyline developing... actually 4... OCW is as solid as ever... opening with DOW and Fausto poison... it was an ok match... but the point of tag matches is to TAG... Terror... if your DR and your partner is not... why jeapordize the match... by staying in the ring... I work tag matches like this... as soon as I have more damage then my partner I get out... and when he gets more damage he should get out... when your behind tag ALOT use double team moves to come back... and then if your both in DR... the guy with more momentum should be in the ring... only thing I can think of is that Pee Stee wasn`t there for some reason... if that wasn`t the case it was a potential great match ruined... and another loss for DOW... hardcore match was good... but it`s like everything`s been done... so the match going 20 minutes is pretty uncalled for... champions not coming to the ring with championships take away from the feel of title matches completely... Strider looks like he`s on the way to completing his master plan... to hold all the titles in OCW... he clearly forgets that SDW and Leon are both in this NA title match... 2 on 1 on 1... exactly the way we like it... haha... RD`s special appearance is notable... RD`s not bringing the CCW title to the ring kept it from being Markable... the jobbing was ineveitable... and what is wrong with my format shortman??? I think I forgot to colour the corwd reaction which was my fault... sorry... other than that tho... cmon... Leon and strider was good as well... I think that match came down to strength of movesets... but Leon hasn`t won a match since regaining HIS North American title... a lil cold streak... but something`s cooking in the plot on our side... Poor Fausto pulling Double duty... both matches against his wishes... Kage is a champ negotiator tho... Gaines`s return... a 3 on 1... will he OVERCOME THE ODDS??? will he end the reign of terror that is DOW??? AJ should have Liu killed... first time I`ve seen him pinned in a while... AJ isn`t wearing his belt either.... AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH why??? Beastie boys rule... I can say that Kage and AJ 08 look better than 07`s versions... so we have the Guy/Poison feud the DOW Gaines feud the NA title feud the Kage/AJ feud all represented well in this Riot... Very Solid episode if you ask me... Good job OCW... Signature 1 - The Alpha Heel Signature 2 - Spear 5 (F) - Stargazer Finisher 1 - Flapjack 2 (F) - The SDW Finisher 2 - Reality check (G) - Dawonderful Dream Finisher 3 (i'm cool enoigh to claim 3 moves) - The Darkside - THe Million Dollar Dream

Leon Valentine Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 The first move used in my match with strider was an accident, dam 08 move setup. Great show, some solid rps and some nice matches. There are some really nice feuds on the way. Sean you win this time but if you even think you are taking all the titles in ocw then your clearly mistaken.
Michael Morrison Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Before I start, I just wanted to put the spotlight on Poling and Scaggs… and all the commentators in OCW/CCW for that matter. They come out every week with snappy one liners and funny dialogue for each show. Pretty much they have to right RP’s for every show on almost every page which can’t be easy. Good job fellas. Venom/OV Terror v. Poison/Guy Anyone else find it funny that Venom faces Poison… that Tall Guy faces Guy? Just thought that was funny. Anyways, the Venomous Terrors try to send the Stormin’ Mormons back to the Bible Belt. This is no easy task, because these Mormons aren’t offering a helping hand or a kind word. None of that hidden "guilt trip" crap for these black tie wearing, backpack carrying, help you move your stuff and call you 2 months later to return the favor, sumbitches… no offence, Poison. OV takes a shot at Guy at the start of the match and doesn’t do to well... to be honest. Eventually they both tag in their partners, except I can’t tell the difference between Guy and Poison. Thank God one of them decided to wear elbow pads. Venom seems to be having better luck than his tag partner and even counters the initial double team tag that brought Poison into the match. He stays on Poison and keeps the aggression high; even hitting a nasty 20 part combo: Toss opponent to turnbuckle, Snake Eyes on Turnbuckle, Chops groggy opponent into the ropes, rope grapples opponent into a Val Venis Double Knee attack, back grapples groggy opponent with Inverted Suplex. That’s one hell of a chain O_O Around 13 minutes into the match, Guy and Terror grow tired of the ref’s constant annoyingness, so Guy Irish Whips the bastard towards Terror, who nails him with a boot to the kisser. Despite having a tread pattern permanently plastered onto his face, the ref shakes it off and gets back to work. All in a days work for these human pin cushions of the law. Also, pay close attention to how the match was ended. Knowing those two, it was probably planned that way so you might want to do, what we refer to in the biz as “scouting” if you face these gents in the future. RP: Poison knows if you’re not wearing the Magical Mormon Underwear. That is all. Video Promo: Hehe… he said inevitable. http://blairmulholland.typepad.com/mulholland_drive/images/2007/07/12/kim_jongil_team_america.jpg I said inebitable! HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP Brian “Not Kaaang” James v. Robert “I love Burger Kaaang” Fearo A former Kaaang tries to redeem himself after losing the crown to a dancing fool. With the court jester wearing the crown, is all hope lost in the kingdom of hardcore or has the fool finally found a world in which he reigns supreme? The match itself is pretty long, coming in just over 22 minutes and ends with someone being violated behind the bleachers with thousands looking on… actually, I’ve had a nightmare like that once, accept it was Chyna having her way with me. Fear the manclit.
Nate Ortiz Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Seems that 2k8 like halo is taking attention away from the shows. Like most Riots I enjoyed it. Good to see some solid storyline pregression from a number of guys. I liked that finisher set up from Guy and Poison, it worked perfectly. Leon vs Strider was nice, but I could tell they had to make an ajustment between the two games. Wish I had had time to contribute to this one myself, I feel bad that I couldnt get a rp in. The Guy Fausto Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Next week watch as I continue to help people I hate as I for some reason end up teaming with AJ, David Jackson, and Justin Time all in one show.
Val Finale Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Don't put me and DJack in the same sentence please. Was a good show. The hardcore match was just like any other hardcore match. Use all the weapons, hit spots, go into the crowd. Why not just end the match when you can and not drag it out? Emjoyed the main-event tag team match, and the RP of Kage getting Fausto to team with him. locony911: you have a special place in my hart locony911: <3 <-- you in der CCWJustinTime: LMAO http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/4598/5880914nj7.jpg
Nathan Gaines Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Really enjoyed the show. I thought this was a very solid show. Put together some great things together and continued some great feuds. For the first time in a while I think there are some great feuds going on that aren't surrounded with a belt, all incorporated with a great Main Event Feud. I like the idea of having the Hardcore belt defended every week. It adds excitment. Also I think KAAAAANG James has really gotten a chance to shine with the opportunity that belt has presented him. Sean Strider and Ed Reed are a perfect heel tag team. They have that presence where you just wanna beat them up yourselves because they are so full of it. I like when they're together but seperate they're just as entertainning. The NA Title feud is really progressing well. I like the angle that all four men have included. Never really been done before to my knowledge. I really like Smythe and Leon working together. I always wanted to see Orton and MVP team together so this is the next best thing. Also I think this feud has once again established DJ as the good ol' boy. Main Event with AJ and Nick is always great. These two feed off of each other and have really made each other elevate their game. Interestingly AJ has really started to come off as a face and guy to root for, but I like how he hasn't tried to over do that. He's letting it come natural but then still inserting the fact that he's a bastard and we should dislike him. When you add Guy Fausto into any RP it becomes gold. I liked the match itself it was back and forth all the way to the end. I couldn't believe that AJ's body guard just missed breaking the pin it had that good edge of your seat ending LocoNY911: I hate you with every fiber of my being just looking at your name makes me want to strike my monitor
