Time Out, I am thoroughly confused someone please explain the title situation to me. It was my understanding that we thought there were too many belts in OCW now and we were going to try and cut as many of the extras as we could out. I think we've done alright with it on Riot, we have the World, the Lightheavy, which acts as the Midcard belt, like Denny said. The Tag Titles, which I think are superfluous/should be a floater belt, and the women's title which is a floater belt.

 

The way I thought Trumoil was gunna end up clearing up was a Unification of some sort with the World and the International(NA/HC/Whatever) since Ding and Denny are the top guys on Trumoil, with the winner relinquishing the International to be used as their midcard title. Now we have the World Title which is the main belt on Trumoil, the International Title, which is booked like a midcard title even though skill and popularitywise Ding is on the same level as Denny; and now we're adding the TV Title which is supposed to be what? I don't understand, is it a participation Title for the thirsty rookies who we tell to not worry about titles?

we already unified NA and HC to cut down on belts.

 

the second 'unification' was intended to be the OCW and Turmoil Title because ...let's be real, ps4 and xb are thin at top of their cards, respectively. It was supposed to be temporary. So, myself Pem and Nate did our thing in September to usher in a unique situation for the start of the season.

 

buuuuuuuuuuut xbox guys started showing up again after a hiatus and jay quickly changed his mind and tossed the world building Cox and I were working on since long before Cide to the side (get it?). .....so here we are.

 

 

 

as for Turmoil having more singles titles, it isn't a big deal. Riot did for two seasons, now turmoil has them. Ps4 also has more handlers at the moment, and more feuds going. Ding handled his business and brought INT over to Ps4, just as i handled my business on both systems 30 times before vacating it this weekend.

I still don't understand why the TV Title needs to exist as a third title. You guys wanna run with the International as the Midcard Belt that's cool, but the TV Title existing as a third singles belt is unnecessary and perpetuates this idea that you need a title to be relevant which we've always pushed as not being the case.

it's just a bit late to start noticing things or paying attention...

 

We are a ppv and 8ish shows in already to the season, with a ppv coming up this weekend.

 

=/ the tv title was already defended this season. No one is perpetuating any idea that a title makes someone relevant. I've already said the handler makes the belt, not the other way around.

 

As far as im concerned on an ooc level, the only belt of any weight in present day OCW is the one Dennis Black has. No booking decisions, or comments made today, tomorrow, and sunday evening will change any of that until the Turmoil Title changes hands.

Maybe it was "Spoken" about in secret staff areas but until you said they weren't floaters on the rookie pod, i and others had no idea they changed status to being stolen to turmoil. shrug

 

so dual brand turmoil people shouldn't be allowed to challenge for another riot title ever.

Denny, I think you're misunderstanding my concern about the TV Title. I'm not saying the handlers that have titles or are in title matches do not deserve them. The Trumoil Title scene again I DO NOT MEAN CHAMPIONS AND CONTENDERS, I mean the Titles THEMSELVES are unclear. Example:

 

Riot Titles

 

World Title = Main Belt held by guys who are or could be top guys

 

Light Heavweight = Transitional Belt for guys who are looking to get out of the main scene or as a means to transition into the main scene, good excuse to get an established guy and an up and comer into a match together

 

Floaters

 

Women's Title = Title for Women

 

Tag Title = Title for Teams (I think this is unnecessary due to the lack of established teams, let teams establish themselves first the introduce a belt)

 

Trumoil

 

World Title = Main Belt for guys who are or could be main guys

 

International Title = The Transitional Title, can be held by a top guy looking to get into the main scene or someone who can use this to establish themselves until they can make that step

 

TV = ?????? it seems like we want it to just be another International based on who is in the match, so now you take away from the International because now its one of two "Mid Level" Belts.

 

My problem with this belt is it muddles the waters in Trumoil, the belt has no clear purpose/ the purpose we want it to fill is already taken care of by the International. I dunno, maybe I'm misunderstanding the TV Title situation completely, which is why I asked for clarification, but it seems my question has been misconstrued as an attack on Trumoil? I dunno, again

If the gap in skill was so great, this would not have been accomplished in the first place. I didn't make this decision. There should be fewer belts, I agreed with that over the off season. But there should also only be 'one' world champion between both shows. But jay made his decision. I have to deal with decisions he's made that have literally screwed me over, just as Riot will need to deal with this for a time.

 

If there is an issue, get a Ps4 and earn it like I had to. Like Ding had to. Things have changed. Evolve, or move on.
