Tay Terror vs Corey Ford

Slow start with an early submission that leads into a rather nice combo from Tay Terror who connects with a springboard banzai drop apparently.The botches begin! Tay Terror hits a kneeling move as Corey moves upward from prone, then hits a ground move. Would you call that? I would given the situation that the move came from. From there, Tay gut wrenches Corey onto himself twice, before getting it right the third time. SO many flippy floppy botches, feel like I'm watching PWG. Ford tries to be slick and takes out the ref. I love it Scaggs! Tay Terror takes advantage and blasts Corey with the sledgehammer whilst the referee is out, but then leaves the evidence in the ring, luckily OCW referees are incompetent. Tay does a pickup grapple off of this, then tries to do a ground grapple after that. No, bad Tay. More botched springboards, presumably because everyone's out of reversals. Corey slowing the pace down again with a submission attempt. Corey reverses a chair shot on the ground, then gets hovered with the chair. Bad, Tay. Bad. We're at the half way point and the damage is fairly even. Tay has shown some heel traits by getting weapons whenever the ref is knocked down. SOLO SPANISH FLY! OH DIOS MIOS! Nice finisher reversal but Tay can't capitalise. My attention span for this match has died, not because it's particularly bad, but because nothing's really happening. Well, it's over.

 

Key Points

 

Tay, when someone is on the ground and you have already hit a ground move you cannot then do another. If you pick them up from the ground and then hit a knockdown move on them, you can't hit another ground move. If someone reverses a move on the ground, you can't then smack them as soon as they stand up. It feels weird that you're so flippy and then banging out dead-lift powerbombs, are you going to be the all flippy guy, or become a bit stockier to make both believable?

 

Corey's sit-out crucifix powerbomb looked out of place as well, but mainly because of the size difference.

Tobin Frost vs Cort Marshall

 

Pretty standard match, nothing all that incredible happening, clean. Liked it when Cort got some offence in, done a ton and dumped Tobin over the top rope with the clothesline. That eye-poke Russian leg sweep spot got a pop out of me, originally didn't think this was going to be much of a contest but it's came a live a little as we're nearing the finish.

Key Points

 

Nothing much to say really, it was clean, short, a little dull up until the closing segment, but I really liked the finisher situation in which Tobin won.

Counter Culture vs Show Blitz

 

I like when tag teams come out together. Popped for the "FIGHT!" at the start. Ahh, actual wrestling at the start of a match. HAH! Someone tried to bump and got smacked in the mouth, I told y'all it would happen! Nice to see the womens revolution includes botching, keep it up ladies. Soon you'll be a walking insurance claim like Ricky too. Flojo eating kicks like there's no tomorrow until she's forced to eat ass. Oh dear. STOP. SHE'S ALREADY DEAD! Cheryl hits a pickup move, then does a hover/wakeup taunt into a pin on poor Flojo, still a break. Sweet, more springboard matches. Over halfway through and haven't seen a single tag team move yet. Flojo is dying, break up used, end must be near. Riley went to hover Flojo, and got punched in the mouth for her troubles. Not going to call a reverse hover on that because if it wasn't for that strike she'd never have been given a reset off of that pin. Flojo does a wake up taunt into a sig, but then picks her opponent up again and tosses her into the corner, should be a reset. Uh oh, the corner has glitched and is now unusable. I love that kip-up reversal. Poor Flojo, her partner walks out on her and then she gets attacked

 

Key Points

I liked that when people were in opposing corners the ladies on the apron weren't smashing strike and grapple like complete cheese mongs, easy way to make a tag match look like ass.

 

Do tag moves, you're meant to be tag teams.

 

After you pin an opponent, let them back to their feet to reset, not try and grab them once they're awake.

Big Ed vs KD

 

IT'S TIME FOR HALF A TON OF HUMANITY (and that's just Ed's dick). Hopefully this doesn't have the problem of everyone setting their weight stupidly high so even the SHWY's can't hit moves on each other, like happened once before with these two. I saw KD using the Goldberg entrance and went to get a soda. Not digging the cowl, but rock it KD. INTO THE JUNGLE AINT NO GOD ON THESE STREETS. Love it Scaggs! Entrances are four minutes long in a thirteen minute match... Someone going to get their wig split! Ugh, they can't fucking grapple each other. SHWY vs SHWY should just turn the weight detection off in my opinion. KD just getting suplexed to death makes me sad. Looks like I spoke too soon and they can grapple, I love this broken game. Match on! KD has taken a lot of damage here, come on Gate Keeper! Props on surviving that!

Nothing much to say here really, just two big guys hitting each other
