Cheryl Stixx OLD Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Wow guys... this is crazy. Winning “best match” on Lution?? I’m so happy right now, it’s kinda hard to elaborate because it really is a surprise. And getting this kind of recognition on this Lution means a lot, the show was mad entertaining (prime and the main show), the RPs were really good, most matches allowed the wrestlers to show what we like about each character and to learn more about characters that still don’t have a lot of history in OCW. Even the ones that might make you think “why should I care about this match anyway?!”. Watching Lution was definitely more exciting to me than watching WWE most times... for real. And seeing Valk receive all of this recognition is awesome! Working with Valk was my best experience here so far, “Tinkerbell” works really hard, is creative af and really really gets it. I was finally able to add some depth to Cheryl as a character and it’s all thanks to Valk. It’s also a huge relief to see the women’s division getting so much good attention, it motivates me a lot! Anyway, just posting this gives me so much anxiety buuut I had to say something about the ppv, the match and Valk. I had so much fun, can’t wait for what’s next and thanks for the love/votes/attention. P.s.: Lil Bubba is dead, I’m not. Book me ❤️ 10

Justin Jehst Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Been a busy weekend/week at work so been trying to get through the review for the shows. RUDO’s WONDEROUSLY WACKY WRESTLUTION PRIME WRITE UP + Mez Murdock comes in firing. Bit of OCW history in there for us rookies too. Pumped for the ME of this one. + Mistico with a suprise plan to beat the Pride champ eh? Looking forward to seeing that unravel later. MATCH: Future Investment Ladder Match The entrances in this one were edited really well with the timing, etc, as was the match (using multiple angles). My pick going into this one was JackMo, I just had a feeling he’d take it out, and I wasn’t wrong. That finish was awesome too, such a heel thing to do; run up the ladder while the other guy is distracted and steal the victory from him. JackMo / Irving feud anyone? Great match overall. + Gene interviews Dragana. Little bit of a look into a possible post-Lution feud with Sentai Hare? I’m guessing that’s what the bunny ears were signifying, though Dragana being a Turmoil star it may not be correct (unless Dragana is on both consoles like Ricky and Kass). MATCH: Pride Championship: Mistico vs. Archer © Mistico took it to Archer with the leg work in this one. I really liked the psychology of using his own strength against him and then eventually tapping him out to a leg sub after two 2 counts off of finishers. Short lived title reign from Archer, which is a shame as I really like the CAW/character and he would have made a great champion to RP as I think too. + Mixtape release! Funny how it goes Drake (ok, I get this one, one of the most successful hip-hop/RnB artist of our generation) but then drops off to 21 Savage and then drops even further to Lil Xan... There is a list a mile long of rappers you could’ve chosen hahaha. Anyway, the Cheryl diss was pretty crack up, and I know Echo is gonna be putting out more songs on Turmoil/RIOT in the future for our entertainment. + Mistico with a post-match explanation of his tactics. Commentators are right about the blessing/curse aspect of being the champ, I hope you do the belt justice, Mistico! Congrats. + H20 and Heather both bigging themselves up before their matches. Have to say, H20 is one of, if not the hardest working dude in the company RP-wise. Running 3 characters that I know of and still putting in work for all of them. MATCH: Dragana vs. Karissa Dawson Enjoyed the back and forth in this one. To be honest I was looking forward to seeing who would hit the piledriver first but it never came! Surprised to see another sub finish. Rematch for the piledriver finish plox. + Echo/Moore RP: Moore learning the hard way that wins don’t come easy in OCW. Women’s division on Turmoil is stacking up, though, there’ll be plenty of opponents to face. + Wagner laying down the heat; BRING HIM THE MEAT, BAYBAY!!! Time for the triple threat! MATCH: Quartz vs. Cohle vs. Wagner Rust Cohle’s entrance attire was so out of left field haha. Since when was he about the shiny, flashy getup’s? Ring attire underneath was cool though. The story of the match was told pretty well I felt; the two heels would double team the face (pause) until they had an opportune moment to hit each other to get the upper hand. The double corner body splash spot was rad, rarely see that. So was Cohle’s dive over the stairs to the outside. Pick up fin for the win? Shouldn’t that have been an auto redo? Telos coming out at the end was an awesome surprise to set up for next show. + Valk vs. Cheryl interview. Lots of back and forth insults from these two, the heat building up for their match, which I’m really looking forward to. Will be interesting to see which way these two will go after this feud. + Quartz and Rust forming a tag team? Gonna be super dysfunctional and provide plenty of funny RP’s I’m sure. MATCH: Women’s Championship: Sentai Hare © vs. Heather Angelo Two of RIOT’s top handlers going one on one here. The ref took ages to count the fall after the table facebuster spot lol. Such a good match, and Jay was right, last ten minutes were fire! So many spots, back and forth with counters (including finishers), dives, springboards, sub attempts, just so much goodness. Congrats to Sentai for retaining. + Dragana and Asian ref RP – someone got a translator for that one? + JackMo celebrates his FI win. Great RP. I’ve always enjoyed JackMo’s RP’s, always very well written and descriptive with hilarious dialogue. Looking forward to more of him on Turmoil now that he holds that golden key briefcase. MATCH: Mez Murdock vs. Tobin Frost This was just a god dang war! The double powerbomb onto steps spot was brutal. I wasn’t here for the duration of the history behind this match but I can appreciate the years long rivalry coming to a head at the grandest stage in OCW. Such a good match with all the weapon variety/table spots/stairs shenanigans and downright competitiveness. All down to the wire until the counter into Tobins favoured Powerbomb for the win. Thank you to everyone involved in putting together the show, and Jay, you are appreciated my man, what a slog to go through to get this event up put together. Everyone who participated at all, RP or match, well done. MOTN was probably Sentai/Angelo but close second was the ME. Main show review to come. 14 My image don't load no mo so fuck it.
Valkyrie Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Thanks for the feedback. As Nate and H2O said in this thread, it’s all about having a good dance(!) partner and I can’t complain. There were a lot of great matches, I was honestly more into Lution than Mania, as many others probably. I’ve started playing this game “””competitively””” when I joined this place, so roughly 3 months ago. Prior to that, it was just me messing around with universe mode or spending a concerning amount of time in the creation suite and that explains the obvious skill gap that you can see between me and Stixx (and the others). The fact that we somehow got to 27 minutes (the uncut version) was a miracle and I don’t see that happening anytime soon. Dragana/Dawson I was hoping for a piledriver finish, given the build up but it didn’t happen. I hope this isn’t a burial because I was really liking the new attitude of Karissa… so I hope I’ll see her on Turmoil some time in the near future. Dragana, I love you, but stop burying the heels please! FI It was fun, probably my favourite match on Prime if we don’t count the women. Seth had his moments, but ultimately Montgomery got the W and the RPs were solid. Hope we can get to read more about his gimmick on Turmoil from now on, Pride I mean, you gotta give credits to Mistico for the reverse-psychology, it worked. It was too quick to really say much else, I was hoping we could get more RPs (not individual rps, actual Archer x Mistico rps) around the match: both characters have the potential to really be perfect enemies, but maybe we’ll read about them in the future. Three way It told a good story, with Quartz and Rust double teaming Cyborg until he had enough and just said F**k it and murdered Rust. Also I liked the ending cutscene, a possible hint for a future storyline with Telos Hare/Angelo You already said it, it was a great match, back and forth and fast paced. Kass looks very comfortable with Hare’s moveset, you could almost think she’s his main character at this point because he plays really smooth. I’ll be honest, I was rooting for Angelo. I’m a huge fan of Heather, I constantly read all of the rps, I think she’s one of the best heel gimmicks around here (I have an Xbox… so you know… at some point in the future… we should talk) Tobin/Mez Pure carnage… Jesus. I like the contextual use of the environment, this match had plenty of that, so props to the handlers. One the best matches on Prime, tied with the ladder and the women’s match Street Fight Jay’s FPR was surprisingly good in this one, wasn’t it? Even though there were some questionable moments (Smacking someone after he burns a rev on you, not good! lol) but hey, you do what you gotta do. I was hoping for a barricade OMG or a table bump, but it still had more hardcore action than most of the matches on the card so you can’t really complain. Drago/Leon The prediction podcast said Drago was going over and when I saw Leon red after few minutes I thought it was going to end fairly quick. Despite that, he somehow managed to make a comeback and got close to winning a couple of times in the end, making the match much more enjoyable. Also, I noticed that the custom soundtrack faded during a false finish, I don’t know if it was intentional or not, but it was a nice touch cause I thought it was over at that point Speaking of Shooting Stars, mine got more SWAG… I was just unlucky on Sunday http://i67.tinypic.com/9kzd51.gif Ladder The game is not meant to be played for this type of matches, let alone for a competitive one. So if you were expecting insane spots like the one you see on TV you were probably going to be disappointed, but I still think this one exceeded the expectation because it was fast paced and it kept you wondering “who’s going to win?” I want to consider the feud as a whole, not just the match, so it should be noted how this tag team storyline was probably one of the feuds with more words spent in RPs (if that makes any sense), so the effort put in the build up is undeniable and keeps me honestly intrigued for what’s coming next. The camera cuts sure took a lot of time to do, they were well done though, maybe a little bit redundant towards the end, next time you could go with simple fades! Cort/Steve I marked out for Cort’s entrance and attire. I noticed that the storyline with Pete was probably set aside, but I read about a possible tag team adventure in the future, so he’ll still have something to do. The Battle through Space and Time I’m pretty ignorant when it comes to Trash culture, being a Turmoil rookie you can understand why. Still when I saw the tagline I was like “Ok they are probably going to have some segments in old WWE games, like 2k17 or SD vs Raw” but… well we saw what happened. The Jet Ski part really got me, it made laugh and the captions were gold throughout the match. Very entertaining overall Minio/H20 Not gonna lie, I was rooting for Bobby and it was heartbreaking see him losing that way. But! The effort H2O puts in his RP is undeniable, I think he’s a great champ so we can still be happy for his win. Also Happy Birthday to Bobby (it was yesterday I think, saw it on the forums but forgot to type it in Discord) Kass/KD The way it ended was great, if I had to book the show that’s what I wanted to see because the feud was sorta built around the fact that Kass never defeated KD (correct?) and you can say he still hasn’t since it ended with a draw. I thought you were going to do a sudden death round eventually, but it didn’t happen you can now possibly have a 1vs1 rematch with no dq The 4 way DM Hard to review a four way, there were some neat spots and it was relatively short if we don’t count the entrances and the post match segment. Having read every single RP about this feud, I was really struggling to find someone to cheer for because I could see all four of them as champ: Lee is a convincing heel, B17 is funny (I voted for best entrance), Trance has years of history behind him and Wrex is the bad guy that acts like a moron, but you end up liking him after he takes a few Ls cause he’s in some strange ways relatable. Main Event I’m not really an expert in OCW history so I’m struggling to find something intelligent to say here. I liked Parker’s attire, with the hall of famers portraits, it was a nice touch. Overall, a good back and forth battle, felt like it could have gone either way. The ending was a bit sad. I hope they’ll find the will to have another match somewhere in the future. I get it, the game is awful and frustrating, but as Nate said, it can still be fun with the right dance partner. Now I’m sincerely looking forward to Turmoil 203 P.s.: Lil Bubba is dead, I’m not. Book me ❤️ 11 .

Kassidy Hayes Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Ladder matches can still be really good, and they edited out spots I know, we never got to see what happened to the ladder bridge. Came out better then expected. Tag team ladder moves and side by side ladders, ah we'll probably never get anywhere close.
