The Audio on Drago/H20 was terrible as was the font. (use shadowing or something idk what its called but it hads some black to the text so they are easier to read and look a bit cleaner) Actual video content was on point.

 

Horsey video was good but took a slight step back in quality as well. Fix it! It was also RUDE what you called Kass HAHAHAHAHAHA nice!

Cort/Shep/Telos/Tre have done something special that I really hope isn't slipping under the radar. Much like A.C.Cobra I rarely get invested in characters due to the nature of the beast. But I popped when Tre got the win for Golden Cobra!

 

Speaking of Golden Cobra Wrestling 101 now if only Cobra had some gold in his attire (dummy)

 

Show was taxing to put together, but I enjoyed it.

Nice big promo to open the show, I liked how it got several other people involved. I've always said these little tie ins keep the universe as one instead of treating us like we exist in bubbles with our feud partners.

 

These got damn Spider promos throughout the show were fantastic. Was imagining young ambition people. As an OCW legend mark, good stuff.

 

Did not enjoy the Saturn/Wagner match, but Billy is new. He'll get there. Tyson's new look fits the Cyborg bill and it also explained in RP. Goodjahb.

 

Antonio letting the pressure of recent weeks get to him with some outright heelish behavior towards AC Cobra. What a prick. AC was very good in this show, the buildup has been very good and I cannot wait to see this one.

 

B17 showing motivs for his recent despicable behavior. I wonder how long this bubbled inside face-B17 before he released it.

 

Parca and Cort with a solid battle, nothing to write home about. The first spot into the Cort-plex was dope, but Parca kicked out. Cort landed it again putting the rookie down for good. Momentum into Lution!

 

If every RP was P3 I wouldn't complain.

This whole Lee/Wrex feud is more than heel/face. These two aren't aligned in any camp other than the "Fuck that other guy" camp. I don't know who I want to cheer for, but I know I want to watch someone get the shit kicked out of them.

 

LOOONG tag match between Golden COBA and Sheplos. I noticed a lot of moments where they should have tagged or moved where they just didn't. No real attempts to end the match til very late... except for Tre, who tried to hit Shep with a finisher on yellow, lol. Wish I could have seen a bit more from Telos, his inexperience in tag matches showed as he refused to tag out in crucial moments several times. Excited for Golden Cobra more in the future. God damn big people always near the ropes ruins Sheps fin, and he gets caught in a non-early finisher for the 1 2 3.

KD and Tyson cement themselves as a tag team, not breaking up as it seems the "faction war" of early season 14 is over.

 

Bobby Man-E-Oh dispatching Spider, further proving that he is no fluke on the sticks headed into his title defense.

 

Thinking about it more thoroughly, Antonio has always been the more unhinged one between the two, lashing out more readily than Doc. Maybe this is a characteristic and could explain why Doc is more level headed in RPs and confrontations. Antonio showing more signs of carelessness here as well, whereas Doc further cements himself as the true babyface. I dunno man, with Antonio's outward aggression, choice of words, interrupting a HOF babyface induction to take his title in street clothes, insulting veterans and letting his ego get the better of him... This has been a very interesting arc for Antonio and Doc... With both firmly in the singles realm now. There could be something big on the horizon.

 

DRAGO GONNA DANCE IN TWO MATCHES. DOUBLE DUTY DRAGO. ITS ALMOST TIME FOR DDD.

Not an exclamation point, but a period, or maybe an ellipses, because there is more to come here. At any rate, from both women, very shoot-style, work-shoot vibes for me personally here. Kinda bummed me out to see Valkyrie in such a state. Could be a dark day for OCW come Wrestlution 13.

 

The cap to what we knew was coming but so happy to watch play out. The reasons given here is perfection when you consider all 3 of these legends. Pugh's determination, Tibby's insecurity, and Nate's GOAT status. It all comes full circle in one week. DREAM MATCH x10. There will be no talking during these entrances. Goosebumps already.

That’s right boys and girls I’m back just in time for Lution, so let’s do some reviewing shall we?

 

Good opening segment from the Future Investment guys. Part of me just wants Shepherd and Cort to have a 1v1 rematch but that’s seeming more and more unlikely, considering one of them could end up fighting for the World Title soon. However, this did actually get my attention unlike similar previous promos from these guys, where I find myself skim-reading it. However, all the people in this match looking pretty good going into the match, especially with Cort and Golden both picking up victories on the show and the angle after the tag match. Will be interesting to see who comes out on top at Lution.

 

B17 heeling it up now which is always nice to see. Seems to have just ran with what he got dealt with after his title match at R2G, so I like the ability to adapt. Doc vs B17 gonna be one to watch for sure, just wish it had a few more weeks to build but what can you do.

 

Wholesome baby-face CQC promo? Seemed a bit weird with these two guys definitely being more natural heels but I guess it makes sense coming up against Scumistico. Gonna take some getting used to, but I’ll definitely see how it goes.

 

P3 was very enjoyable. Usually just skim over these and read the important bits but I took my time for this one and it was good stuff throughout. Would like to see some character progression sprinkled in these on occasion, but I can’t knock them too much as it’s a change of pace from the rest of the show and always absolute madness.

 

Hey look it Cohle vs Quartz: Female edition. Terra is a wholesome specimen, but would definitely kick the shit out of me with that moveset oh lord. Quar… Terra gets the edge in this one but a closely contested match here. Terra could definitely be in contention for a Women’s Title match sooner rather than later with her recent performances.

 

Speaking of Women’s Championships, the contract signing was fine… I think. I don’t know, something isn’t sitting right with me in terms of this build up to this match. Valkyrie seemed to be on a long story arc of being knocked down and built slowly all the way back up to a women’s title match but it just seems like a sprint to the finish for me. I think losing the 3v3 completely derailed the story arc but that’s the competitive side of OCW, so you can’t really complain. Plus winning number one contendership off a DQ isn’t as clean as you’d like it to be too. I don’t know, maybe it’s because Lution crept up so quick on us. That being said, Valk vs Blaine was always the match I was hoping for on Lution so prove me wrong guys!

 

Drago vs H20 finally confirmed! Not too sure about Drago pulling double duty, but if anyone can it’s him. This match is one I’m more looking forward to, definitely one of the more built matches going into it.

 

That finale was awesome. Nate finally being granted what he wants, but at what cost??? This match could easily be a MOTY contender, especially with all the emotion going into it. It’s an absolute toss up on who’s gonna win to be honest, and I really can’t wait.

 

I think that’ll do it for me in this. Overall a decent show, wasn’t too difficult to digest so I had a great time. I think I’ll just do one phat review for Lution, unless I’m on the Final Word (I’m not).

We are in a competitive fed, guys. The road to the end of the storyline is not always paved with wins, and you have to pivot accordingly. We don't always get our picture perfect storylines and payoffs to work out according to plan.

I like multimen RPs because they make everything feel more alive and realistic in a way, even though they can be quite challenging to put together. Props to everyone involved in the first one. You could use an extra heel somewhere in the mix but hey. I don't know who I will be rooting for on Lution.

 

Not really sure who was behind El Fuego x Blondie RP but I'm guessing Spider because of the time travels. It could be Mugen too though.

 

Elsa, Dragana, Terra are alts done right as the handlers are showing a lot of dedication and commitment, more than most mains actually. Terra giving Dragana another gift. Wholesome. My only (minor) gripe with these RPs is that I honestly don't know what they have to do with actual wrestling anymore, sometimes they feel like slice of life fanctions you could find in other websites. Not a big deal though.

 

“You can't shine my non existent shoes” quote of the night? Poor Cobra. But that's what you get for not calling Alyssa Winters back.

 

Ok now I have a confirmation that Spoder was behind the previous RP. Well. I remember last year we had GTA V gameplay in the battle through space and time. I'm hoping for some COD or Pubg this time around.

 

Dickhead17 puts Tyler Steele and Ricky in the same sentence… not really fair. Ricky gave his contribution. He's also still a Patreon for some reason. We should add a new rule to the handbook: when two faces have a fued one of them should turn heel. Let's put this RP as reference as well.

 

Same as above but with reversed roles. I mean. CQC could be fighting Jesus and Gandhi but the VP would still cheer for them regardless so who's the real heel here? I don't know who to root for on Lution. CQC winning could help with the division since they are dual console. But Scumciety has been a great faction as well and could benefit from added exposure and competition. Idk

 

The Bonanza was cool, I just felt you could've used it differently, maybe to set up your Lution match and having your opponents as guests. Spider was mentioned towards the end to be fair, but you get what I'm saying. Still enjoyable though.

 

El Parca reminds of La Parka but that's not necessarily a bad thing. There's only so much you can do with interviews RPs but we should appreciate his commitment. Hopefully he'll find something to during the summer.

 

The match against Cort was fun to watch. Cort improved a lot over the past months and losing to him is not something to be ashamed of. Competitive wise El Parca should get a little bit better with his reversals management, as Cort was firmly in control for most the fight. The clothesline at 7.02 was brutal.

 

I think Wrex should've posted the prison RP on the actual show instead of the promo Room but anyways. Anyway I'm interested to see where this angle with Lee goes.

 

Happy to see Bobby return to full written RPs. Honestly the video stuff is good for some major plot points but it will never fully replace the written content. As Quartz said this promo was really wrestling 101, with face heat, catchphrase and everything. Honestly I see Bobby retaining on Lution.

 

The tag match was honestly too long for me, I watched at x2 speed. Happy for Golden Cobra, especially for Cobra since he struggles with his solo record. The male FI could potentially steal the show on Lution.

 

I feel like the TLB video was a bit redundant. The match was called off and he was just wasting his time here. Could've done something different.

 

Interesting interaction between Doc and Ant, makes me wish they were able to have some sort of rivalry at some point in the future, since I don't see them returning to tag action anytime soon. Kinda like the Shield, once they split they never really came back together aside from some special events.

 

My whole promo was an attempt to carry over the suspension storyline on Lution and afterwards. I turned the shoot-o-meter all the way up to make some noise and it kinda worked. Who followed the story knows that throughout this Season Valkyrie has progressively abandoned her Fairy Tales bs and is now “growing up”. This was supposed to be the climax to said character arc. As stated on Discord I'm excited to be a part of Lution and thankful to Jay/Dupree for the way they booked the whole suspension storyline as it gave me a chance to develop a different side of her. Worth noting that we had two weeks to build this up so the options were limited.

 

Main Event was fun, I watched it muted because I wasn't at home so I can't comment on the commentary. Someone raised some questions about the ending on Discord but personally I liked it. Heel went for the chair and paid for it. I don't see the issue (?). Looking forward to the Lution title match.
