Kassidy Saturday coulda been better, that is for sure, Empress coming in after the win and doing the chair to the leg attack was good, reminds me of when i did it to H20. Fuck their knees am I right?

SAVAGELANDS SATURDAY: TURNING THE SUMMER ON IT'S CIDE!

 

I love the creative spin that P3 put on the word "savage" in this promo. These guys are so creative and entertaining and a P3RFECT way to start the show. The Terry Knee reference is so dated, even for my old ass! Y'all really did go primitive on this one! ME LIKE! IT WUZ GUD!

 

Joop vs Reese - A lot of storytelling in this match. That's really difficult to do in a competitive environment but creativity is key kids and these boy have it! I think Reese does Joopiter's finisher better than Joopiter, just sayin! Jake and Jay play off this match well in their commentary and the fact that it's his own match makes it that much easier for Jake and he goes OFF! I love how you guys bounced it around, especially with the SNACKS N SLAMS transition, Y'ALL KILL ME!

 

Maxwale crashing the party, guess Cowboy Quartz wasn't happy that he wasn't dressed for the occasion! Glad I wasn't the only one that got the memo.

 

Lotus and Heather had a fun fast-paced match that saw both ladies getting over well, Angelo won but both won in my opinion. I love Flojo's moveset, it has a lot of personality to it and i love seeing someone knowing their character so well. Great match here!

 

Bertha vs Valk - The face of the company in a David and Goliath situation against a fellow cyborg. This was truly a match that told that story well but sees the champ looking strong. Empress taking advantage of a situation at the end was great and makes things real personal between the two. Good timing on the build here!

 

I haven't said a whole lot about most of the RPs on this show because I feel like I'd be repeating myself. A lot of these promos are pretty cut and dry to the point and parts will be mentioned during the review of their matches, but I'd like to see people put more personality into their writing, especially with narration, describing your character's body language and pointing out typical mannerism from time to time. I like that people have a reason to write but add a little pizazz!

 

Blacksmith vs Salami - I love the little hype video kicking off the match, a minute and a half is a perfect amount of time to footnote a story. I'm waiting for Cowboy Quarts to come jump on the horseman on his way to the ring. Half of this match was spent on the outside which added a unique perspective to this match, really a hardcore brawl here that I was thorougly entertained by. The flaming table spot was great, y'all made me want some damn smoked salami with your colorful commentary. I like the promo at the end, quite a bold statement from Blacksmith to GM Dupree, I think the guy can put his money where his mouth is.

 

This Zack Xero RP is great, full of character and personality. I don't know if I should take him as a rugged good guy whose just doing a good deed or as a environment nut showing off how better he is than the rest of us, but I look forward to getting to know this character better.

 

It seems like Savage Saturday seems to be a playground for people to get personal with their feuds going into Summercide, including the veterans Mugen and Nate Ortiz. I would have loved to hear from Mugen again but it seems Nate is ready to just shut up and fight.

 

I love this dramaticly written RP between Jehst and Elsa that leads into some unexpected humor. The visual storytelling here is used well and the portrayal of heels with fans is brilliant here. Excellent work.

 

Code vs Malu - This was an interesting match that started off slow but eventually transitioned into a somewhat dramatic match. It also had some odd querks to it too with both of them teasing weapons but ultimately their pride prevailing stopping them, both men wanting a result to this match. I don't understand Code doing his finisher on the outside but not rolling him in and trying for the pin. Other than that, I enjoyed where this match ended up, another day in the office for these gents. Wrex making the challenge at the end was the icing on the cake for what seemed to be a turning point to Summercide and that seems to be the theme of the night and the title of this review!

I love this dramaticly written RP between Jehst and Elsa that leads into some unexpected humor. The visual storytelling here is used well and the portrayal of heels with fans is brilliant here. Excellent work.
