OCW RIOT - April 17th, 2008

Yeah, you can drop me from the witch hunt. People called me on my running and I put a stop to it. I only did about three running moves the entire match including duck unders today, so I was called on it after the Kage match and I changed my style up to have less running. So you can zip it about that crap.

 

As for the tag match last week, I didn't see anything wrong with it, as I let Smythe move before clobbering him and premptive entry comes all the time in real tag matches.

Long story short, if you're wrestling Brad, and it's nearing the end of the match, and he starts running. Punch him in the fucking eye a couple times.

 

Now you know it's coming, adjust.

 

I guarantee that shit ain't happening to me twice. Guarantee it. You all have a heads up now, so shush, and if you see yourself matched up against Brad...like Rage Against the Machine says "know your enemy".

you wanna compare me and how play with my 'run and stop' to how others play theirs ? feel free. count how many times i did it in my match with reed. TWICE. as others have said, the only time i USUALLY do it, is when whoever im playin seems to forget that when you move the joystick TOWARDS the other person, HEY, you can actually move TOWARDS them. if dumb asses wanna play an entire fukkin match moonwalking, then you can bet your ass im gonna use my run and stop. ed reed actually plays like hes gotta pair {unlike most people now a days} so no, i didnt feel the need that i had to do it over and over again. so no, do not compare me and how i use it, to others and how they use it.

Riot wasn't bad at all like a couple have said already nothing super special, but overall it wasn't bad and had a couple high points. Could've had another match though and no Cross = :(. Who's gonna be the next contender for the NA title is what I'm wondering & is Smythe next? We shall see

You be quiet...nobody was talking to you...we were talking about you. and while we're talking about growing a pair, when referring to people talking about you. It was "ME" who brought it up. Feel free to tell ME not to bring it up. The truth is, I have you to thank for providing me with the style.

I did actually re watch the Reed Ma'jin match and Ma'Jin hardly ever used the old 'run and gun' tactic.

Such fury in these threads after my reports. Again i watch the match and i review them from a viewing perspective. I like a good wrestling so realism comes high on my list and that's where i base most of my opinions on. Just because i dont like seeing something doesnt mean im calling you cheap, i just dont like seeing it for whatever reason.. it doesnt fit your caw or looks unrealistic you name it. You dont have to change it anything if its not against fpr,it's just my personal preference as a viewer. Cause here is my 2 cents though,why play a match if nobody wants to watch it ?

 

To Brauer: You're attacking as if i have barraged you with negative comments. Dude the match was good,read my report,i gave it a 8. It was a constant battle with no dull moments.But if you read my report BB i give the ending a rating seperatly. Why? Cause a good ending is what makes or breakes a match. That's why i gave Leon vs AJ a higher score. Because altough AJ was dominant cause of the finishers Leon reversed it told a story and it was like "booya" AJ finally hits his finisher after Leon desperatly try'd to hang in the match.

 

The run-stop thing was an anoyment to watch but nothing more then that. The turn off was the ending in its entire. Again i didn't call it cheap,against fpr i didnt use EITHER of those words. I said it took something away from the match. Its like watching a movie,filled with action but it comes with an ending that leaves you with"that didnt end how i would have hope it would be". Do with this info as you wish,it's free afterall.

 

To Bold: Wow wow slow down big guy,the only move i complained about was the running clothesline 13. Your moveset how most of them have effects do not look to out of place. I did not rate the match cause it wasnt a match,it was a squash. Like i said there wasnt much to entertain. So i didnt rate it.

 

Alright,i've written 2 reports for the first time and got some pretty heavy back fire(wich in a way is good cause it creates discussion). I just want to make this is clear is possible. I make my comments based on realism and how enjoyable > I < found a match to watch. If i say something about an ending not being all it lived up to be or for example the run stop or something dont come bitching to me about. It's just a suggestion,free advice. Do nothing with it or do something with it. And don't go all> but he does it to,i dont give a fuck. Im watching this match,im watching your match. So why not try to make it an entertaining one.

for the record I have no problem with run skipping... I like to see it in matches... I copied it from Majin... I might do it the most in OCW... there's nothing wrong with it at all IMO... everyone copying what I copied off Majin kinda sucks... but hey it is what it is...

 

I'm talking about the closing matches with a running move to get your special then the running duck under to set up the finisher... it sucks... there's a bunch of set up moves to hit finishers in this game... I personally don't like that one... nothing wrong with it... but I PERSONALLY don't like it...

 

Bold... Nate hit it right on the head... your character doesn't have a signature style... he has no moves that look best when he does it... he just has all the moves that work the best in the game...

 

for instance... SVR 07`s powerhouse Smythe Dawonder had the axe handle and the running ninja kick... he had a few powerbombs he had a face punch and a rock punch... he was a HOSS heel and he had some big man moves...

 

SVR 08 Smythe isn't a HOSS he's a Edge like wrestler... cause I lost alot of my moveset going showman/dirty... so the axe handle is gone... but I have the trademark uppercut... that nowone else on the roster uses... it's slow and has a liniar range but it's my move... I also kept the high angle backbreaker... moves that pretty much are signature to my character... Adrain Bold has nothing of the sort.. he's a mix of everyones money moves... a moveset clusterfuck if you will... I'm not saying your not good at the game... or that you didn't own Mayhem... I just PERSONALLY don;t like your moveset...

 

Fausto had ONE BAD MATCH... that was it... Lution him and Majin... play that way... all the time... a Fausto Majin match is alot of run skipping and clotheslines and grappling mixed in a mesh of ZOMG... they play like they're playing 06... which is fine..

 

AJ's big boot is fine... he's pretty much the only guy that uses it often... like a sig move for him... and it sells...

 

the Wonder Report is nowones opinion but my own... I enjoy watching all the matches... and when I see something I comment on it...

 

Tyro my understanding is a missed ground grapple puts the downed wrestler on offense since the guys who attempted the grapple gets stunned from being countered... I could be wrong... but I think the rule for a countered strike is different...
