Quick Notes #1 Kass Shut the fuck up! I thought I'd try something different today and I'm going to use Google Voice so this should actually be a better kind of review because of a better format it because it might make more sense and because I can speak. So first things first cap with the great opening role play it's actually really nice to see turmoil and PS4 guys on Riot providing content that's actually really good it's a nice change of pace to the norm a norm there was facilitated by a dirtbag but that's neither here nor there either way it's a welcome addition so shut out to cap for putting on a really good promo especially you know we're going to the New York it's kind of cool I Dug it. Where Brooklyn At Where Brooklyn at so now we move on to the next bit hijo de Mistico faces jett draven I didn't hate this match it first the fact I was into it up until the 14 minute mark here's the thing when it comes to damage if if you're really colored and are you really good at kicking out that could have slid back in the older Seasons like 2016 and 2017 Maybe but now it's just it's just annoying. I mean I get kicking out can be easy for some people I guess we're competitive barroso hybrid and by being hybrid means that we have to make some concessions regarding matches and one such concession is making sure matches are watchable for the audience and making sure matches are rapid-fire action packed into the point for the audience because if I have to sit and watch the 20-minute match it better be entertaining from top to bottom or there's going to be problems. So what we saw was basically you a blood feud kind of booked off the jump from the simple fact that mystical and Jet are actually friends and that was part of the angle that was revealed later on into the promo which I actually enjoy it and told a good story how Jets a different person now. And mistico doesn't know how to receive that because the person you seemed to know is gone which is cool I can dig that I got no problem with that at all but what I do have a problem with this a match being dragged on because some guy just doesn't want to you know. So that's why I told you that you know if if you're a head like that just ended tapped out whatever it is what it is Tab high and pack whatever and just keep moving because I would rather do that than have a match till started okay and that you know middle was okay then the end of sight come on then so I mean again rookies don't know any better. ----------- And once again shout out to Doc AKA H2O aka the bane of my existence AKA Like Water for Chocolate PP so yeah Heather promo cat promo what is there to say Angelo call despite it sounding like it's related to KD Angelo no relation actually looking really forward to this match Sentai hare is 4 action what is there going to be said that ocw really is anime there you go. Pug you're absolutely right that you are taste maker and Riot rather is anime congratulations go fuck yourself. So now we have Heather versus Kat and I actually really really love The Narrative of this match heather hasn't been on riot for couple of weeks and Kat is the #1 contender I had more thoughts yesterday but honestly I can't remember these thoughts because you know she happens but this was actually really good match and in a similar way one it is almost like the jet match but the difference is it was even! For the most part see if it runs a little long it's an even competitive entertaining match I'm usually okay with it being a little long this one ran 19 minutes or 18 minutes so in that sense it doesn't it didn't really bother me but it's a delicate balance it really is and some people have it some people don't but some people can learn it so it's not it's not a foregone conclusion once again number one Contender losing. Along with champs losing to other people it's interesting builds a good Dynamic cuz it happens not everybody wins every day unless you cheat it's going to be interesting to see how cat bounces back and how Heather has Built some equity. In addition to that shout out to H2O for actually putting in more work you've been this is a guy who's very busy and still manages to put a consistent effort if so when I got people coming to me and say no I couldn't do an RP row it's going to be later or you forgot or whatever excuse it's kind of weird to me because this dude has like 19 jobs 75 kids and a happy wife so you know some people want it some people don't and I can tell from the jump H2O wants it despite being a jackass. O_O The only other time I saw that was When Nate and Dupree fought in 2013. Nate didn't get to hit a finisher :( But then in 2017 he took Dupree's Summer........ Quick notes cuz this show was yuuuuuge Not sold on Frankie yet, between the foolishness in the Dark Zone, then the whole Pyro thing. I'm not sure if "For the Luls" or "Lol Youth" or what. For a match that was 660 megs shouldn't look that fuzzy. I'm usually fine with varying quality and even a missing ent here and there but I don't know this annoyed the piss outta me. Live, learn and do better. Another decent match, some mistakes here and there led to CJ catching a hot one. Mistico seems like a good egg...(for now) Without going into super detail, Jehst's angle isn't necessary new but the way he applies it is something I can appreciate greatly. My working theory is 4 custodians and 4 wildcards. A custodian is someone I can trust or almost trust at least and a wildcard is someone truly untested. You can put 2 and 2 together, Wildcard vs Custodian. Tay Terror vs Code Jackman: Winner qualifies to enter tournament. I rarely see either on discord and both keep a very low profile. They have however been nurturing the (Totally Paper Plates) Turmoil Tag Team Championship Either way they both men made an impression choice thread, and rather then choose one or both I decided friend vs friend! Jimmy Henry vs Justin Jehst: Winner Qualifies to enter tournament. I'm not huge on fresh off the boat Rookie"s (despite MVP status) getting these kinds of opportunities, however I didn't just want to throw Jimmy in. Jimmy has just returned and while he was a staple during his earlier time here it still to me feels a little off. Doing this we get a bit of the old vs the new. Capo Genovese Initially he asked to be in I considered it, then we had then notion that the winner of CJ vs Capo last week would get the slot. We saw how that went, I'm not in the habit of giving out consolation prizes or participation awards, but the thread post won me over so you got your shot. What you do with it is yours! The Loser of Interim Championship: Be it B17 or Austin, I feel while this slot could go to someone else the story of a potential comeback or rematch is too good to pass up. Hell even getting super close to the end and being taken out, a lot of story and competition potential. CJ O'Donnell: I thought about doing Ricky vs CJ winner gets a slot, then I remembered stuff is in the works and in the effort of keeping it simple. Some people doubt CJ, others are high on CJ I fall in the middle, he's gone from underdog, to level 2 underdog which mean he might just make it to the finals. Or it could end horribly in addition he won the meta match from last week so fuck it, fight me! Jacob Trance: Almost in a similar situation to Jimmy except as a handler Trance has been knocking it out of the proverbial part with doughboy archer. In addition Fat Trance is one of the more decorated entrants in the tournament, including OCW Champion, International Champion, Tag Champion, EX Champion, Hall of Fame. Plus he is fat and can't see! Wrex: One of the better players thats been grinding away. Don't agree? Fuk U fight me! Malu: Former CCW Champion,Tag Champion,Ex Champion, PS4 Champion. When his crediblity was called into question he won in commanding fashion. Be it not for foolishness he would still be cracking people's spine. It's time for redemption and it's time for beatings.
