  1. Wrestlelution Predictions Alright ladies and gentlemen, I'm on the way to Wembley and I have way too much time on my hands, so I thought I'd give my thoughts and predictions on all the matches on the biggest show of the year. Enjoy! Bonus Prediction!!! Who will wear the coolest attire at Wrestlelution??? Woah, starting off hot with the most important question of the whole thing quite clearly. Quite a few candidates here really, Bray's attire at CFG was great, so it'll be interesting to see what he does. I can see H20 or Drago pulling out something nice, or any of the three main eventers. Will be an aesthetically pleasing show for sure. Prediction: H20 Thomas Archer vs Bray This one should be an interesting matchup, both handlers are no slouch on the sticks so either could come out on top. However, I think it's time for Bray to establish himself within the turmoil Midcard with a big Lution victory. If Bray does win, a rematch with Blacksmith with the title on the line could be nice to see. Prediction: Bray AC Cobra vs Antonio Everrett I'll leave it up to you lot to predict this one. Prediction: N/A TTT vs P3: Battle for space and time Drago has lost twice this season, one of them being in tag Team action, so a TTT upset could be on the cards here. However, you just can't bet against the best in the world in any situation. Mugen as well being one of the better handlers in the league will always help. Could we see the winner of this one going for the tag titles? It's possible. Prediction: P3 Women's FI ladder match: Flojo vs Belle vs Empress vs Ashley Moore Ashley Moore is easily the favourite in this one for me, being already proven in Ladder matches this season, not without the help of Empress however. Will be interesting to see the dynamic between those two in this match. Do I want to see Empress snap and kick the shit out of Ashley Moore? Absolutely! On the other hand, Belle is definitely a dark horse to win this one. She's proven to be pretty decent as a handler this season. She'll definitely be the one I'll be rooting for, especially after she seems to have taken a back seat for this mega women's fued that's been going on, she did beat Blaine that one time, I've not forgotten! Like how this division is being built with many different challengers to the women's title. Prediction: Fuck it, I've talked myself into it, let's go Belle! Bobby Minio vs Maxwale Easy win for Booby here. Dude went toe to toe with the world champ about a month back, beat Maxwale's ass at R2G, and now is coming fresh off a victory on Turmoil over H20. Wonder who will step up next to the champ. Prediction: Bobby, next. Men's FI ladder match: Shepherd vs Cort Marshall vs Telos vs Tre Golden All of these guys have lots of momentum going into it, bar Telos maybe. Not really sure who I want to win this one, will probably just sit back and enjoy all the crazy shit that's gonna happen in this one, but I will say a Cort Marshall victory would be nice here, he's improved ten fold as the season has gone on so let's go Cort! Prediction: Cort Marshall Bonus Prediction!!!! Who's gonna jump off a ladder first?? Interesting prediction here, none of the guys in this are known for particularly high-flying offence, other than Shepherd really. That being said, Tre Golden is definitely a dark horse for this category, I can tell he's got one in him, I believe! I hope someone catches him when he inevitably whiffs. Bonus Prediction: Tre Golden Justin Jehst vs Capo Genovese This one is gonna be so much fun to watch, both these dudes I hope are just gonna go all out and beat the shit out of each other for our entertainment. I've got to root for my guy Jehst in this one, maybe he can have a nice thing just once in his OCW career. The more I think about it too, a baby face like Jehst could be perfect for a match against Code Jackman for that CCW title at some point down the line, that is if Code retains on the show. A nice big feel-good win here would give Jehst good momentum going into the summer for a potential matchup, especially now how he's back from all the shenanigans of moving, book it! Prediction: Justin Jehst Bonus Predicition!!!! Will we get a wholesome feel-good Elsa/Jehst moment on show??? Bonus prediction: YESYESYESYESYEYES CQC vs Scumciety: Tag Team supremacy Easy one for me here to predict, CQC have been on top of the tag Team division for basically the entire season. Not completely sold on the idea of babyface CQC, maybe they'll turn back after this match we'll have to see. CQC is the much more complete team here too, with more chemistry than the Turmoil champs. Let's go Riot! Prediction: CQC H20 vs Drago We could easily see a H20 upset victory here. The guy has been one of the standouts for the build to lution for me, and I'd love it to see him get a big victory on the big stage. HOWEVER, I would be a fool to bet against Drago Cesar in a singles match at Lution. Looking forward to this one a lot, feels like an actual collision between two big stars. Prediction: Drago Cesar Bonus Prediction!!! Who's gonna have the coolest entrance at lution???? Pugh is probably the favourite in this one, he's been talking a big game, and knowing him he'll definitely back it up (unless it's against Doc Green ;)). Dupree could give him some good competition in this one, with the levels of extravagance that man has. If only this game didn't hate us and we could all have super long convoluted entrances! Actually, it's probably for the best that we can't. Bonus Predcition: Paul Pugh Valkyrie vs Blaine I think it's time Valkyrie gets her big moment, and we'll all rejoice. Blaine by no means is a weak opponent, but with Valk already tapping her out at R2G, I think Lil Bubba just edges it. Prediction: Valkyrie Wrex vs Austin Lee Have to go for my guy Wrex in this. The guy has pretty much carried Turmoil on his back all season, so he absolutely deserves it. Dude just seems to have an aura around him where I can't see him losing two major shows in a row. On the other hand, Austin Lee is a champion in his own right, so this is always going to be a competitive fight, looking forward to it! Prediction: Wrex Code Jackman Open Challenge Whoever he ends up facing, Code Jackman needs to win this one. The CCW title has already been hot potatoed from person to person so it's time someone takes control and establishes their reign with the title. Prediction: Code Jackman Bonus Prediction!!! Who will Jackman end up facing??? I have literally no idea who Code is gonna face. But there's only one person who I can think is free and credible to face Jackman for the title. Bonus Prediction: Damian Bou... Aries! The Big Daddy: Nate Ortiz vs Paul Pugh vs Tiberius Dupree Any one of these three legends could win it here, and they all have the resumé to back it up. However, I think I'm gonna go for Nate Ortiz. He's the greatest of all time for a reason, and I think he'll make no mistake on the biggest stage possible. Most importantly tho, I'm just gonna enjoy watching this absolute clinic on how OCW should be done. Prediction: Nate Ortiz MOTN Prediction: I'll go for the safe bet I reckon. The main event. Final bonus prediction!!! Will Antonio Everrett wear shoes on the biggest show of his relatively small OCW career??? Prediction: no Alright that'll do it for me, looking forward to Lution, should be a good show!
  2. That’s right boys and girls I’m back just in time for Lution, so let’s do some reviewing shall we? Good opening segment from the Future Investment guys. Part of me just wants Shepherd and Cort to have a 1v1 rematch but that’s seeming more and more unlikely, considering one of them could end up fighting for the World Title soon. However, this did actually get my attention unlike similar previous promos from these guys, where I find myself skim-reading it. However, all the people in this match looking pretty good going into the match, especially with Cort and Golden both picking up victories on the show and the angle after the tag match. Will be interesting to see who comes out on top at Lution. B17 heeling it up now which is always nice to see. Seems to have just ran with what he got dealt with after his title match at R2G, so I like the ability to adapt. Doc vs B17 gonna be one to watch for sure, just wish it had a few more weeks to build but what can you do. Wholesome baby-face CQC promo? Seemed a bit weird with these two guys definitely being more natural heels but I guess it makes sense coming up against Scumistico. Gonna take some getting used to, but I’ll definitely see how it goes. P3 was very enjoyable. Usually just skim over these and read the important bits but I took my time for this one and it was good stuff throughout. Would like to see some character progression sprinkled in these on occasion, but I can’t knock them too much as it’s a change of pace from the rest of the show and always absolute madness. Hey look it Cohle vs Quartz: Female edition. Terra is a wholesome specimen, but would definitely kick the shit out of me with that moveset oh lord. Quar… Terra gets the edge in this one but a closely contested match here. Terra could definitely be in contention for a Women’s Title match sooner rather than later with her recent performances. Speaking of Women’s Championships, the contract signing was fine… I think. I don’t know, something isn’t sitting right with me in terms of this build up to this match. Valkyrie seemed to be on a long story arc of being knocked down and built slowly all the way back up to a women’s title match but it just seems like a sprint to the finish for me. I think losing the 3v3 completely derailed the story arc but that’s the competitive side of OCW, so you can’t really complain. Plus winning number one contendership off a DQ isn’t as clean as you’d like it to be too. I don’t know, maybe it’s because Lution crept up so quick on us. That being said, Valk vs Blaine was always the match I was hoping for on Lution so prove me wrong guys! Drago vs H20 finally confirmed! Not too sure about Drago pulling double duty, but if anyone can it’s him. This match is one I’m more looking forward to, definitely one of the more built matches going into it. That finale was awesome. Nate finally being granted what he wants, but at what cost??? This match could easily be a MOTY contender, especially with all the emotion going into it. It’s an absolute toss up on who’s gonna win to be honest, and I really can’t wait. I think that’ll do it for me in this. Overall a decent show, wasn’t too difficult to digest so I had a great time. I think I’ll just do one phat review for Lution, unless I’m on the Final Word (I’m not). MOTN: Not any standout matches really, Parca vs Cort. RPOTN: Finale, enough said. It's almost 1am I'm going to bed
  3. Alright ladies and gentlemen I’m back, let’s review the fuck out of CFG. Drago Cesar vs Antonio Everrett Jesus Christ this was a rollercoaster of emotions for myself. There’s definitely a reason they call Drago the best in the world. Won’t talk too much about my own stuff, but this was super fun, congrats on the HOF induction! The Austin Lee and Aries promo was super confusing for me in the beginning. Didn’t really see why this was on the show then Austin pulls out a bloody pistol and then it all started to make sense. This was super intense, but for me it’d had made more character sense if Aries was like ‘SHOOT ME BITCH YOU WON’T DO IT’ to fit in with his gimmick change but I can see why it went this way. The touch with a hashtag tattoo is great, didn’t see it coming until it happened and when it did I thought it was great. Kassidy Hayes vs H20 I think I was a bit higher on the build to this match than most people, but the match was fine. Nothing too crazy, but some pretty cool strike exchanges between the two. A lot of missed strikes too however, a bit sloppy in places. These two could definitely put on a better match in my opinion. A bit of an abrupt ending with the rolling unprettier, I prefer the rip-tide but it is what it is. H20 got some much needed momentum back which is good to see. B17 actually cuts a good promo here, considering the low bar set for OCW acting ability. This interview got me hyped for the match quite a bit, good job. Bray vs Blacksmith This was fantastic. By far the best performance I've seen from both guys so far. I was actually happy with Bray’s cosplay, as it's actually relevant to OCW and looked good. Some absolutely brutal spots here, first one that comes to mind is the powerbomb onto the chair at the start. Then of course the powerslam through the ACCENDI table. I'm super into Blacksmith as an underdog babyface anti-hero hardcore specialist, I can see hardcore matches becoming his niche if they already weren’t! Blacksmith got the win here, but Bray shone for me as a despicable heel. I personally can't wait for the rematch. CQC vs Inception Unfortunately, this match was bad. It was long, the heels were acting like faces, faces like heels. Rust summoned some form of forbidden powers and could throw KD around like he was nothing. KD kicked out of everything. Inception kept twatting CQC in the back of the head. The FPR here was all over the place, granted it is difficult when there’s so much going on. Made it very difficult for me to root for the Inception, and CQC’s reign ending should be a big moment but it wasn’t for me. Ah well, maybe CQC will get their rematch. B17 vs Code Jackman This match was also bad. Should’ve definitely chosen a different stipulation, since the Wyatt compound is super limited. Hopefully these two can have a fitting conclusion to their fued at some point, especially because the finish was very lackluster too. Ashley Moore vs Valkyrie This was GREAT. Definitely Ashley Moore’s best performance this season, the HEEL work was something else. Valkyrie was just about to win and then EMPRESS OUT OF NOWHERE. Caught me off guard for sure. I think the brawl between her and Valk went on too long, would’ve preferred her to hit her finish sooner. Especially with her promo after this, Valk has officially hit rock bottom, would definitely be into her eventually going for the title possibly at lution. CLASSIC STORYTELLING. That being said, Moore and Empress are certainly ones to watch moving forward. Bobby Minio vs Dupree Not the strongest in-ring match on the show but definitely the best story for me. Bobby needs his old theme back but I’m sure he’s heard that a million times already. However, I was into intense Bobby beating the shit out of Dupree. Lots of great looking super kicks and whatnot. Dupree was great here too, proving he can still hang despite not competing 1 on 1 for a while. Was a huge fan of the finish too, with Bobby almost losing his shit and resorting to choking the life out of Dupree; poor bastard, I almost felt sorry for him for a bit. Bobby retains, will be interesting to see who he faces next. Creepy video promo from Quartz. Short and sweet, I think Quartz might actually be a robot. Liked this a lot. Not sure what it is about OCW and burning buildings. Aries is now an even more crazed madman, and I’m excited for Austin vs Aries whenever it happens. Good stuff here, nice payoff for the earlier angle. This still could’ve happened on a Turmoil, but I won’t complain too much as it was all good. Progression in the Jehst vs Capo fued was… fine. A bit long-winded but at least the second half was good. Capo probably didn’t need to say as much when he got to the ring. Maybe could’ve seen some fisticuffs if JEHST WASN’T INJURED ALL THE DAMN TIME. Actually, maybe it’s better if they don’t touch at all until lution. However, I am into this Capo and Jehst fued, interested to see where this goes from here as I know they have loads of time. Pugh vs Doc Green He fucking did it, the absolute lunatic he fucking did it. Even if it wasn’t a massively long match, Doc winning the title was definitely a great moment. He deserves it, and I am very proud of him, even if he won’t let me on the final word. Shame about all the hurricanrana attempts, but that’s the downside of weight detection. That being said, I could watch Pugh powerbomb tiny little Doc all day. The finish was great, with the hurricanrana into the JJE. This is definitely far from over, and I’m sure these two can put on a better rematch, which will inevitably happen. Uncrowned are definitely on top of the world right now. Wrex vs Trance The main event was BRUTAL. Not the best match technically but still some awesome moments. I think the first spot that springs to mind is Wrex’s missed face wash into the cage right at the start, intentional or not, that shit looked GOODT. The bicycle kick into the cage was also awesome as well as the frog splash off the cage; Wrex came out of this looking like a million dollars. The added touch of the shitey looking cage was lovely. Sad to see Jacob Trance retire if this is his last match, but I still wouldn’t be surprised if he comes back for his actual final match at lution. Either way, a great way for Trance to go if this is his final match. Overall, a great show at the start, dipped during the middle, but picked up right at the end. IT’S HOW YOU LEAVE EM FOLKS. A lot of the RP’s could have gone on weekly shows but the amount of video content and effort put into the show was great to see. Good shit y’all. MOTN: Valkyrie vs Ashley Moore RPOTN: Austin and Aries saga Overall: 4/5
  4. Firstly, I want to start this review by apologising again for the quality of mine and Doc’s match with Rust. I want to take full responsibility for the whole situation. Like Doc said, 9 out of 10 times we would have re-done it but this time it wasn’t possible. That being said, this is nowhere near the standard that I hold myself to, so it will be the first and last time something like this occurs. Now I can continue with the review for this week’s Riot. Here’s the stuff that caught my attention this week: Dupree vs Bobby Minio is a match I very much want to see now. Minio has been on fire recently, and he was the star of the show for me. All his RPs were good, and I like the direction of a more intense character that’s been showing up as of late. Excited to see where this match with Dupree goes, if it does happen at CFG. I enjoyed the segment with Tre and Cort very much. Nothing better than some good ol’ fashioned respect to warm my cold, dark heart. Cort had a great line about footballers’ wives which make me chuckle. Some good heel action too from MAXWALE, who I thought was great here. This lead to an enjoyable match between Tre and Cort, both guys looked pretty good and Cort managed to get the victory. ‘MURICA. The locker room face off between TTT and the Inception was awesome. Potentially would like to see a 6-man between these lads, but not sure how possible that would be; if it did happen I’d be glad to see it. Kass shone in this segment for me, I think he’s at his best when he’s the cult-leader psychopath that he was here. Nice little brawl to top it off, good stuff. The Main event was great for me. The Inception feels like a solid unit now and the match told a good story because of that. Some awesome moments in this, that powerbomb onto the railings looked brutal. Some nice near falls, and KD managed to get the win with the F5. Good stuff. Overall, I thought this Riot was very very good. Good RPs across the board, and the show didn’t drag. CFG is shaping up very nicely now. RPOTN: TTT vs Inception in the locker room. Was a nice big moment that the show needed so close to the PPV. MOTN: The Main Event for sure. Cracking little match. Overall Score: 4/5
  5. Since Doc is too busy blessing our ears with podcast reviews after every PPV, I guess you lot are stuck with me now. Like every good tag partner should, I thought I’d come in for the save and give my thoughts on Riot. Thought I’d give 5 things that caught my attention on the show. The Valkyrie video was great. Nice use of the cutscene leading to an intense battle with security guards. After taking quite a few pop up punches, she’s able to get through. Excellent. She gets through the final 3 but Moore runs away like a sneaky heel. Wasn’t too sold on the Moore vs Valk fued but after this I’m definitely interested. I like the idea that Moore thinks she’s the good guy, fighting off the evil little person. More of this, I’ll be happy to watch the match at CFG if it does happen. The stuff after the video with H20 adds a much-needed layer to the Inception in my opinion, perhaps all they do care about is the gold and not fighting the good fight? Good stuff. I don’t know what it is but Cowboy Quartz is hilarious to me. I LOVE the acoustic variant of the theme, lovely little touch. Shame not to see Rust or KD on the show, but a pretty decent match between Quartz and Cyborg. Not often Quartz is outmatched in power but made for some pretty nice viewing. Loved how every time Quartz got cocky Cyborg just levelled him. That being said, Quartz gets the victory. Tag Title match should be fun to see, but Uncrowned got next. Lots more tag teams beginning to show up on Riot, I like to see it. Kassidy Hayes vs H20 1v1? Go on then. Loved H20’s interview with Scaggs, really put into a nutshell this story between himself and Hayes. Wanted to see this match for ages, so more than happy to get it at CFG if that does happen. Tre and Kass have a pretty good match, but eventually Tre gets one to the nutz. OOF. Down comes H20 and he beats Kass’ ass. Fair enough. H20 probably got a nut shot coming down the line. Bobby Minio was great on the show for me. Wasn’t too interested in the whole autograph shtick for the past few weeks but this week was much much better. Would like to Bobby in the ring more, but that’s what happens when EVIL DICTATOR DUPREE comes and oppresses you. Excited to see what Minio does with the pride title. Great stuff. Don’t want to talk too much about my own stuff lol, but was super fun working with legends like Pugh and Dupree. Overall, a pretty good show. Didn’t drag to read, with a lot of good build to CFG. No major blow your mind angle, but didn’t need it, especially with a few more Riots to go. RPOTN: H20’s interview with Scaggs for me. MOTN: Tre vs Kass.
