Hello and thank you for reading. This is a different sort of article due to its nature. A few days ago an OCW finally came home, that person is one Gregory Kael. Known to most of Early OCW as Black Omega, Greg is perhaps one of the few people who have influenced me in a positive light. So with that said lets begin.
Years ago OCWFED was known as OCW, which stood for Online Championship Wrestling. The Original OCW used a customized version of VB with its very own header. Most of you remember V1 the Blue and fake chrome look along with the narrow blue and white forums. OCWV1 was created by me and my good friends Dan and Scott. With me and Scott handling the GFX, and myself and Dan handling the coding. Together V1 was built in all its database clogging glory. We took our new found forum and placed it on a French Server my very 1st host.
When OCWV1 Finally launched the task of filling the place with talent began. In the beginning we started with IGN. A guy named PAHKO let me use his IGN Account to advertise and we began our little adventure. Some where intrigured because something like OCW was never seen before in the land of SVR. Once we got underway pahko shortly left, and I was back to running things on my own. After our roster grew a bit to about 8 or so players we began Indy Style.
As time moved forward about half a month into OCW a man by the name of BlackOmega arrived on the scene, a euro gamer. The connection was solid Omega seemed to have a good head on his shoulders and eventually after gaining trust asked if he could host a show. Riot was born, and for nearly a year BlackOmega held shit down.
Eventually it was time for an upgrade and V2 was born. With V2 Greg was there everystep of the way. It was said best if I am god then Greg is jesus. Having run OCWFED for nearly 4 years now there is no other person you would want to have in the trenches than Gregory Kael, for every amount of Rage Greg provided the cool calm counter balance.
Had it not been for many of Greg's efforts most of the greatest storylines in OCW would not have had there spark. The man who put The fat Chick thriller in his place, Gregory Kael, the man who helped expose KSM for the coward he was, Gregory Kael, The man who made Riot the Flagship of OCWFED, Gregory Kael. So know this if there is one person who gets Respect by default for helping put us on the map, it is Gregory Kael.
Thank you for your support, and thank you for helping me build OCW from small beginnings to V2 and for being part of the inspiration to make sure OCWFED ALWAYS rose above all obscurity. Thank you and welcome home sir.
And thanks to everyone who has stood by us through thick and thin throughout the years from the very very humble start to our place as the dominant platform.
