Steve and Tibby in terms of aspects of their personality´s they can have a very interesting and diverse fued. I´ve heard some of the ideas Steve had before the PPV and theyre can pretty much be dismissed now. So yeah fueding under the current conditions make it hard to get something deep going. i should note that the fact that people are debating this current go on this "main storyline" should not be seen as a whining or anything, it just means people care enough to form an opinion of it. To me the main problem is that the seem to be suggested faces to oppose whatever it is Suda and Jay are doing are not informed and just told to go on fueding and doing their own business. Instead of things having shocking ""OMG did that just happen " factor it creates..."huh..where the hell did that come from " moments.

 

Also, did KD win that match ??! Wow that's even more painfull to have the match cut off then..

Not a fan of these "suprise additions" so far.

I just finally finished Riot because I've been very lazy these last few days, but I'll make a few comments on what I saw.

 

Tiberius Dupree is an ASSHOLE! Did he really just condone murder? Aren't you our super face? I don't care who it is being murdered, it was MURDER! You're not supposed to accept it. It seemed to me like a case of real life lessening a role play.

 

Dimsmore needed some momentum to get out of the ring, for some reason he's incapable of doing it without going 10 miles per hour xD.

 

I think this role play and the prior post by The Steve kind of illuminated the problem going on right now. Dimsmore turns the attention from the main event and from the dynamic between himself and Dupree and puts it all on Suda and Jay. Which is great if that's the main feud going on right now, and I think it's supposed to be, but it just doesn't feel like that. The guys in the two title matches have so much to do right now between their own feuds, the relationships that have undoubtedly developed between the four men in the last two tag team matches (by the way if the main event for this weeks Riot is not Dupree and Pugh vs Dimsmore and The Steve, I'm boycotting Riot, it's the only permutation left!), and trying to figure out what's going on with their feelings for this new brand of LOTUS. Sadly, that's why I'm liking Dimsmore vs Pugh better, I feel like they've put less attention on Suda and Jay and it's allowing their importance to be more prominent.

 

And you all may call it a cop out if you wish (I'm sure many will), but I find it very hard to be a heel right now with this storyline running. The ideal situation would be for everyone not involved with LOTUS to completely ignore it going on and go about their wrestling lives as they are, but with the return that Suda had at Damnation I find that hard to do. The man attacked like a 5th of the company, every single person, heel or face, should either be on their toes or having some super secret dark turn to side with them. As Cody Storm, I feel kind of stupid coming out here and being heelish when in real life, if something like this happened, I'd be going against it and not worried about much of anything else. I guess I just need to work through this mental block I'm creating for myself.

 

Vega's editing of Marley's match I thought was pretty cool. I was glad you didn't just do a comment here or there, you put a lot of work into editing conversations throughout the entire match, made it seem more realistic. The thing that I will say is that it seemed a little repetitive the comments Romero was making. He was saying the same thing in different ways repeatedly, but I suppose that's part of what's making him heelish.

 

I love McGee's character, though I do hope something spectacular happens with this Leon imitation stuff, or I'm just going to be angry that he's wasted all of this time that could have been used for original character development. Poor Stacy waited for him to have a phone conversation just so he could cut her off anyway.

 

I'm not really sure how I feel about this role play from Pugh. Personally I don't think it makes a ton of sense that he has respect for anything at all, his last feud was crushing Matsuda and his family and their history, that's pretty classless. But people change I suppose. I just thought it seemed a little out of character for "Kid Ego".

 

The real reason we need to band together to take out Suda is because otherwise we're doomed to see the finish of MAYBE a match a night xD.

I'm glad now that Blair ruined the ending of his match because otherwise I would not have known that K.D. kicked everyone's ass. Wait to represent Takeover xD. It wasn't as a bad a beating as Blair had made it sound like, unless KD just completely takes over in the end that we didn't get to see. And if K.D. didn't know about the ending of the match, I sincerely doubt that The Takeover did. And if they didn't, I think that's kind of shitty of you to trash them like that while they are actively competing here. They were already getting their asses kicked in a handicap match, but then they get taken out by Suda, and the leader is set on fire? Overkill.

 

The character of Greenberg is new to me, so I may be a little lost as to the connection between himself and The A-Team, but I'll catch up. Either way, nice role play, lots of good detail in there.

 

The angle between Yasif and the Bombshells could be very entertaining, I'm excited to see where it's going.

 

Gibbs vs Kraven was a great match, but I do have one question for you Vega: You gave a very good reason for Romero having comeback, because he's an ultimate underdog, so why does big ass Tyro have it? Either way, it was a very back and forth match, definitely a close title defense for a very dominant champion.

 

Thank god Djesus is doing something to keep Divinity together, they have other problems to deal with besides themselves.

I forgot to remove it from Tyro,lol. I switch moves and try out things i occasionally forget to put them back. Granted, i still believe the Comeback ability is so limited and so hard to hit it really has no place of being a champ perk as even Tibby keeps fuming in DM's that he's never able to hit the damm thing.

This was a pretty solid Riot, there were some moments i marked for. the first being the entire match between Tyroid and OG.

 

So that's going to get first mention. I would have liked to see maybe a chair prop, or a powerbomb on the steps, but it wasnt really needed. both these guys fists are weapons in their own right. I just go into every hardcore match wishing somebody trips over the steps. Oh and tyro, no comeback, if Gibbs doesn't use his and he's a champ. You have no business with one. We have very few rules this year, don't make Jay change that.

 

I like the little angle Terry and Jook have going on. It's kinda flown under the radar a bit. I'm actually looking forward to the match between them at endgames. I like what was done with the match, the presentation was top notch. it seemed like a test run of sorts, maybe the new look for Unleashed. Jook's moveset is crush, he stays doing some good spots. the ending was sweet.

 

McGee vs. Suda, I would have actually liked to see a match ya know. Soon as i started getting invested in a match you went cut scene. i didn't really dislike this, but i didn't really like it either. possibly because i dig both your caws.

 

TakeOver vs. BlackBergBack was good for a handicap match. I don't think TO plays together to often. for a stable, they seemed a bit unstable when it came to chemistry. i know KD is a beast on the sticks, but that was just a bad display of team work. But that only comes with working with each other, and you'll get better in time. Meanwhile don't let anything get you down, not even being set on fire.

 

I'm guessing the reason the match was cut before KD was going to win, was to save TO some face. Just for them to get attacked by a 160 lb Overlord and then the leader set on fire. Lotus is either trying to take out all remaining stables, secretly recruiting or just attacking randomly. We're all trying to be patient letting the angle develop, i even keep mentioning it in my own rps. But getting just 2 rps from LOTUS since Damnation, and just a bunch of random attacks on up and coming wrestlers isn't much to go on.

 

what made LOTUS work before wasn't the attacks, or lighting shit on fire. It was the dark scenarios from Pato, the twisted words of Illuminati and the FACEPAINT devil enforcing LOTUS Law. This feels like the recreation of the nWo in WWE. yeah it's back but it's not the same. But i have more confidence in the angle than most do, i know there has to be more than just getting Suda OVER. I'm sure End Games will prove that.

 

Enough about LOTUS, Divinity and Takeover, have been pretty consistant getting content on shows. Loving Djesus's leadership roll, and the fact that KD and McGee retain their own identities separate from his. Makes for good scenarios and dialog.

 

The bombshells adds a different dimension to the shows. Hopefully it'll spill over into LN and people actually discuss bitches kicking ass more often. The Minister of Rock and Roll needs to find less manly ladies to date.

 

Pugh has been stepping his game up with rp wise and in the ring. His feud with Dimsmore is moving him into a nice face roll. OCW needs more consistent faces. There's a reason these two are Main Eventing, they have the only real strong storyline running right now. It's even gives me and Steve someone to face while we float in limbo. Pugh is one big win away from dethroning Dims.

 

Overall this was an pretty solid show, again the match with Gibbs and the Jook/Romero match were my favorites of the night. People need to squeeze their own creative juices come EG, because nobody likes a circle jerk!

I'm watching the show... well trying to...

 

a few notes... one of the founding rules of OCW was not to mess with people's characters and content without the distinct permission of the person being used... this goes for changing match endings, editing RPs and the like.

 

If this new Lotus is based on altering and editing people's content to get over... your going to see less and less stuff being submitted... which is the main reason why I don't think it's working... and setting people on fire might be the new low... save the over the top dramatic shit for feuds and PPV's... I personally think it's classless and a classic case of Overwhoring...

 

Pugh and Dimsmore have an excellent feud going... even tho I still give Pugh a 0% chance of beating Dims at a PPV... the fact that both of the singles titles are going into rematches at the PPV is also a bad look... it's like nowone cares about actually producing a show anymore... which used to be the essence of the place up until a few months ago...

 

I like that KD's role has be turned up a notch... and Romero and Jook has great feud potential... I also think Gibbs is done defending on a weekly basis and should now have hardcore title feuds... he's proven...

 

The title feud has been plagued by the other ME feud getting mixed up in it as well as the Midcard feud... basically Pugh Dimsmore, and the Suda/sensation Lotus angle is all intertwining and interfering with Steve and Tibby's title feud... So now in two PPV's we've had the Smythe Arnaud section of the feud take up the first month and now Pugh and Dimsmore matches taking up this month... result being the feud not having a chance to really develop... kinda sucks because it could have been a great feud...

 

Also some of these RP's are just ridiculous... think i'm stopping after this Albino midget RP with Mez Murdock...

 

content is nice... Good content is just as important tho...

 

And Yes I wasn't there this week... not being booked, having no ideas besides filler content, and fearing your RP will end with kendo stick thwacks pretty much made the decision for me to stay off the show this go round...
