The NEW DESK Episode 4 - Biscuits and Jam

I was about five minutes from putting on my jacket and driving on campus to upload that match. This internet company has a monoply here, and they suck.

I don't think it's as fair to blame Harrison for the hardcore title match feel, at least in comparison to this particular match because 3/4 participants were alts. They actually didn't care about winning. Like Our Hero said, it was really just Luke that cared. This microcosm idea is why Suda's matches look good 99.9% of the time. He goes so close to breaking FPR without doing it, but it allows him to go super fast in the ring. There's no standing back, waiting for an opponent to get up or anything like that. Not to mention it makes him more difficult to fight, because he hits moves when most other people would back up, so you may not even try to reverse them because you're just not expecting it.

You would not have preferred to see the original match Cody V Sean match, I promise you. The match that you all got was 15 minutes flat, granted longer than average these days, but not really that long. I got tired of talking about Sean Vs Cody. Frankly, I was tired of Cerberus in general, because we royally fucked up the last four months or so. I wanted to make it seem like a very violent, finale, separation. This is #2 match in my career for most work I've put in editing, thinking, etc. and it got almost as bad a review as #1 (my Lution match). There's gotta be some disconnect between what I think is good, and what you all think is good. And I guess I have to figure out what it is. Also, Pugh, I took your words because I wanted to take something that was said slightly negatively and make it positive. I was thinking it was three stages of hell during the voting, and not 2/3 falls so that's why I had asked about making special stips. Sean told me to "kill superman", so I did. I plead ignorance when it comes to the effects that had on how the ME looked, because I didn't know he was in the ME.

If you think a cage match was bad, I can almost garuntee a LMS match would have been worse.

Look at Kent applying logic to this hair shearing xD.

The benifit of not showing the voting results except the winner, I get to think I was close xD. Nevermind....

I believe the entrances on the championship matches have to do with the game forcing the champs to come out first, and it can be a little bit of a pain to do the entrances separately, because it requires another 2/3 recordings.

Sean got back up because he stepped away from kryptonite: Cody Storm

But it was written into the match description that every single person who could be voted in was going to have wrestled already, so you knew to an extent this was going to happen.

Frankly, I'm tired of Dimsmore cashing in as well, because I thought he had done it/failed already. I don't know why I thought that, I guess it was the two title shots in a row he got sometime last year.

Pugh has no chance in 12 against Dims, it's just when he took the International title xD (at least I think, it could have been 13. I'm too lazy to check).

No one said Minio did In Your House wrong. As far as I know I'm the only one that said anything like that, and what I was doing (because I'm writing these reviews as I watch it and I try to make myself laugh even if it doesn't get to you all like it does me) was laughing at Trisha doing something that was described to me as "MTV-Cribbs OCW style" and starting it off with "Who is Bobby Minio?" Such a deep question for something that, at least as it was described to me, is "how the stars live". His RP was great, Trisha's a presumptuous twat.

You all don't think that this choosiness of who is working with who is getting a little repetitive?

Mother fucker, it is January, you're going to be crossing your fingers for a LONG TIME xD.

Oh.... it kind of ruins it for me that Austin's an alt.

God Dimsmore's an asshole xD.

"Sean, football just advanced, what're you doing?"

"Making a new attire."

"FUCK!"

Dimsmore stole my F.I contract and cashed it in against me for our match at Wrestlution 8..and got his ass beat in around 7 minutes :(

I can see Dimsmore being the first person in OCW history to cash in twice and lose both times :(

You all don't think that this choosiness of who is working with who is getting a little repetitive?

depends on the person. I'm choosy as fuck yet the last 3 ppl I've worked with I've never previously done a campaign with. And when I say campaign I don't mean a few back and for rps for a month then a match. That's just surface scratching. A good feud is atleast 2-3 months, if you've got the right person to work with.

Pugh never feuded with Pato, Me or Mugen before this year. His Dimsmore feud was over a year ago. After I saw Mugen's work with Pugh I knew what I was getting, same with Tobin/Nate.

Once you work with good ppl you can depend on to carry their weight in a feud you want those ppl close at hand, hence OMG (A-Team).

So no it doesn't get repetitive.

I understand that, but there's a clear division of labor here in OCW. I feel like it goes where people who are up at the top (and you all earned being at the top and all so please don't think I'm trying to make some kind of inner circle bs claim here or anything) are constantly working with the people up at the top as well, the mid and low card guys are all together. And now that I'm seeing that written down it looks right, but then I think about it and the guys at the lower ends of the card are the guys that need help with writing, character development, etc. So if the guys that are good at it are constantly working together, those that aren't so good aren't getting much better. Ideally that's what comments on shows and critiques are supposed to do, but after listening to this desk at least in my case, I'm beginning to think that, that's not good enough. That in order to learn what everyone wants, some people have to work with those who already do what everyone likes and learn hands on.

Reading that back it sounds like a very socialistic approach to E-wrestling xD

The thing is, those that need help, have gotten help on NUMEROUS occassions. But you cant work with someone who doesnt want to work.

Bottomline is its a hobby, so why not make sure you enjoy it.
