Pugh Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I didn't say it was an insult, I am just giving my opinion just like everyone else does ^^ Bobby I still remember logging on and seeing you and Pugh go at it in the shoutbox. About how the way you didn't like the way he spoke to you. Then you got on his bandwagon and joined factions with him? In the words Gregory Helms aka the Hurricane. What's up with that? We're men and when men have a disagreement they can find common ground? 1 No.
Leon Valentine Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 There isn't anything wrong with Leons quality, the main issue is he starts arguments for virtually no reason... Or restarts an old one for no reason. http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/ZXNNLpjZ4Yg/hqdefault.jpg Damn it Parker... LMAO!!!

Then you got on his bandwagon and joined factions with him? I, unlike very many in these debates, have this really rare skill that allows me to admit when I am wrong or entered a conversation late with the wrong context. Let me know when you're ready to begin your training. I didn't say it was an insult, I am just giving my opinion just like everyone else does ^^ Cop out hair splitting reply. You are basically taking offense that he dare criticize anything, despite the fact that he had a valid point. Rather than learning something from said valid point, you instead decide "it has no value! I refuse to consider the feedback!" and it looks really fucking dull. The point is simple. If you are low down on the under card, and you want to have a series of segments that take place before your match, combine or condense. It was a valid point. Unfortunately, people don't look at what Dan says as valid points it's simply Dan rhetoric to them, which they choose to ignore, which is a really dumb thing to do. This is a guy who at worst case scenario, is begrudgingly added to multiple "Rushmore of OCW" lists. Obviously, he has an eye for something or some innate ability. Whether you like the packaging or not, the gift of the feedback might actually have some value. More people would benefit from paying attention to the feedback, good or bad. I might cut a promo on a thread about someone's feedback, but anyone who's paying attention will see that I've been acknowledging and adapting to almost all of the feedback that has been offered. 1 http://ocwfed.tv/recapppv/Awards%202k18/UpdateOTY18.png

Bobby we could go on and on so I am just going to say this... If half the people I worked with were still here I would be on their Rushmore list. Cody would have a lot more people to work with for one and he would work with people that wouldn't shit on his work. Pugh is an important part of this era and is probably the face of OCW right now so of course he is going to be on most people’s list. I can admit when I am wrong to Bobby. Like the way I went out of OCW last time. It was childish, I fucked up and I hold my hands up. I looked at the 9 years of work I put into this place and it didn't sit well with me how I acted. So I came back. But we get told we take things seriously and when we post anything towards Pugh or anyone else we are either emotional, dumb and all sorts of other shit lol. It's like we are not allowed an opinion apart from certain people here.Jay brought up some good points about me on the desk, the reason he did this angle was to help me get back to a point of where I was but I messed that up in a number of ways which no point looking back at now. Pugh and me don't get on. We certainly don't see eye to eye but we generally do respect the work we have both put into this place along with many people here. Parker and me don't always see eye to eye but he like many people here is a good friend and we don't actually hate one another lol. Anyway Jay says I say too much so ... xD
Bobby Minio Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 But we get told we take things seriously and when we post anything towards Pugh or anyone else we are either emotional, dumb and all sorts of other shit lol. Perhaps it is because a lot of people ignore the actual topics or subjects that are being debated and instead write up their life story in place of a point? It's like we are not allowed an opinion apart from certain people here. That's exactly what happened with Cody after he won the title. It's a faux pas to discuss anything he does with any level of criticism now. You're either applauding his work or you're a hater who's trying to bring him down. Why can't someone just have an opinion they feel like expressing that might actually help someone out? When Cody was writing his reviews every week that would always find some sniping little way to poo poo on what a the up and coming rooks had put on the show, the only person who said anything was me sticking up for myself. When people directly address a storyline and actually offer up the alternate way they would have approached it or found it would have a bigger impact, they're just a hater talking shit or getting on someone else's bandwagon. Here's the reality of it. You want to throw out fruity little jabs like saying I started out fighting with Dan and then 'jumped on his bandwagon', no. We just got to talking and realized we were very like minded, in writing, in ewrestling, in pro wrestling, in a lot of things. Believe it or not, Leon, people are here that you can shoot the shit with and connect with on some level. These aren't just names to be deleted off of a friends list. 1 http://ocwfed.tv/recapppv/Awards%202k18/UpdateOTY18.png

Bobby Minio Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Next time you would do better to just address the points. http://ocwfed.tv/recapppv/Awards%202k18/UpdateOTY18.png

Aries Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Next time you would do better to just address the points. You see, there's a big line between insulting someone and giving constructive criticism. Everyone has a right to an opinion. Everyone. If you don't like someone's work, then fine. That's your right as an individual enjoying their time on a website dedicated to their hobby. However, if you think you can HELP someone better perfect their hobby, then throwing in an insult isn't going to help. It won't be considered constructive criticism. It's the same with expressing an opinion that you and some others may share. You can express it, but the moment you throw in a jab or an insult, your point/opinion/criticism WILL be ignored. It's human nature. Everyone does it. Especially if it's an opinion about someone that has a shroud of negativity about them. You're biased. Because Leon is always talked about in a negative manner, you express your opinion and points aggressively. If you were offering some advice to someone you're constantly around, you would seem a little less aggressive. By constantly taking jabs at Leon, he's not going to see your points. It's the same with Cody. By saying "I don't like you", he's not going to give a shit about people who offer him solid storyline advice. Acknowledging an insult over a criticism is always going to happen between people who aren't friends or even acquaintances. Everyone, subconsciously or not, will always notice the bad before they even realize the good in what you're saying. If I said to Jay in a serious manner: "Jay...your storyline isn't good. You came back looking like Nick Fury after a year of being away, and it makes no sense. Your character kind of fell off after your work with Leon, and I haven't really cared about him since. I think the Sensation character could really use some sort of reboot or gimmick change. Or you could just flake on your website again." What do you think Jay is going to notice? I mean, it's Jay, so he won't really give a shit about anyone's opinions because he thinks he's God's gift to Wordpad. But if he was a consistently active character, I think he would take offense to that. I offered him an idea, but then took an immediate jab at him at the end. It would turn into an argument. It would be the exact same if he said something like that to me. Point is, if you want Leon to focus on the focal points of your argument, then you shouldn't throw in an insult. Whether you like someone or not, constructive criticism should always remain impartial. Especially if it's for the betterment of a shared interest. 4
