Why are there so many people that are no longer active on the list? Shouldn't it be made up of only people on the active roster?

 

It's everyone who's competed for the most part. If I get confirmation that folks definitely won't return then I can remove them, but it's a full season record. If they decide to come back they pick up where they left off
