The Bray v. Ed match highlights a major issue of short term pay off for long term build. I get it earn your spot, get gud, just win, but the Lution match is two weeks away (right)? And putting them against each other sounds great but we've already committed to Ed v Blaxk at lution and for the past two weeks Ed has been squashing ppl, putting him against Bray was bound to expose him. His loss derails him, a win gains nothing. He already had the match. No reward to be had.

He should have continued squashing the small guys. It may not build him but at least you don't run the risk of derailing him and keep him as a mysterious commodity. Now it highlights Bray as the man should be fighting for the title.

At the very least you guys needed to do something that kept him looking strong at the end.

Bobby just posted something important, stop kayfabing. And has a point, I'm one of the biggest breakers of that concept but I also honest to god believe that on Turmoil we are going to fake it until we make it. We will build stars and we will not allow this to be a hodgepodge of matches, no. We need structure and organization, one day we won't feel the need to be so stingint but regardless of how good some of us are, we all need work. Me included.

Bobby is damn right about the vets, if they want to kick our asses they can. Aries and Trance are damn good at this game, I've got 4 losses that highlight, 80 percent of my losses! But it's made me better, maybe not at the game as my obsession with Tour De France is currently interrupting my time, but it's forced me to develop my character and write myself out of losses, I'm thankful for that.

Turmoil is close, so fucking close. Let's not forget that.

I agree that Bray and Ed shouldn't have happend. But i disagree about Who should you think should be the contender based on win. If it were all about wins, I'd be in the Turmoil title match (which I still believe I should be...but that's a different gripe.)

There's literally no story with Bray and Dennis other than feeling overlooked in the main event, and they've already had a match. We've got enough things being forced. Ed and Black have a good build, loss to Bray aside.

Based on match wins, the only one that legitimately deserves a shot at Dennis is Loki Because of that win over Dennis.

The triple threat has been...well..."protected" in a way. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate Trance and OOC letting Ed and I do our thing. But I don't think any of you have had a difficult match since Jackson won the the title. Squash fight last week for Jackson, a no show for Kassidy today. Meanwhile...for some reason, I was given sidberg last week. Thankfully I won, otherwise Ed losing this week would have hurt the match even more.

if looked at keyfabe wise, losing sometimes shouldn't mean or do anything to someone, most times in wrestling, right after losing a title you move up to the next but then why did the person they lose to stuck with the lower title?

so i agree with dennis

edit- the no show wasn't on purpose, and I found out deadline day that lee wouldn't be doing the match.

Also regardless of the Ed v Bray match a few of us are still getting our ass kicked by Ed, which is kayfabe.

I don't think Bray is interested in the TV title anyway, so this elevates him beyond that now.

I agree with Joe that Bray should probably be chasing after the Turmoil title. If I win, there's still scores to be settled with Seb. (He's attacked me like 3 times!) I think Joe and Dennis maybe need ooooone more match before I move up. I think third time will be the charm for him, and I think it'll get him over. He was much closer to beating me in this second match.

The only thing separating anyone on Turmoil is rp and characters. If Jackson, myself, and Kass wanted to we could trade wins back and forth if you threw Bray or yourself up here maybe you get a win against us, hell maybe Tank does too, what do we gain? Nothing just being a competitive league. But we are not a competition league, we are a hybrid league and therefore, just like with Riot, there exist a hierarchy, and that hierarchy is about to change after Lution. My determination is to ensure that change is not a jarring experience, but one that effectively moves all the pieces of the puzzle not just the ppl who have won matches.

Drago is undefeated, he isn't getting the main title. If Trance and Aries wanted, they could have it.

If I lose at Lution, I go down the card, but I will have effectively planted the seeds for Jackson v B-17, Kass v B-17 tie breaker) Joe and and Bray have both called me out, I have unfinished business with Dylan as he did exactly as B-17 demanded and beat Loki and Axton. I've also made new friends with Sid and Austin, Jimmy has pinned me in a triple threat match, Tank and I are tied 1 to 1 and If Loki ever gets some respect then I have a Victory over Black I won't let anyone forget about.

I've also got a devil in the background in the form of Hobbs aka Mugen. I've storied my ass off while ppl have commented on wins and losses. The only reason Bray beating Ed matters is because it needed a response afterwards which did not happen.

I refuse to accept that winning is the only thing, fuck that. Winning is a secondary objective that exists only as storyline objectives. Bray continuing to believe he should be in the Turmoil title hunt is lazy story telling. Bray beating Ed and then not protecting him is lazy story writing.

I am by far the least protected person on Turmoil as I have eaten so many damn loses I'm ranked somewhere with Austin. The title does not justify me. I don't need it, the storyline needs it.

If everyone is protected where does that leave you?

Matsuda debuted as "Unbeatable" Matsuda and lost his first match, and a few others. Protecting people just isn't a good idea. You get soft matches, look like a beast and then choke to death against someone that is good. Look at Tank for example, he lost two weeks in a row.

I'm not saying it's all about wins. I agree with you. But I brought up my streak because you said bray Beating Ed highlights him as the one who should be contending. Which I completely disagreed with. It's unreasonable to expect someone to win every Match on the way to a pay per view without some help from booking. Which is why i said the triple threat has been protected, match wise.

I came close to losing last week, and again during my second match this week with Joe. Though Ed portrays a monster, I didn't expect him to beat to Bray. I'm just glad he kept it interesting. I can't imagine how little our match would mean if I lost both.

As for the hierarchy... I don't see how we came to it. It feels like our current hierarchy was decided by podcasters and staff rather than by a mixture of story and competition. Much like a wwe locker room, off camera politics come into play. I get that.

The three of you are great players and story tellers and deserve top spots. I'd never question that. But two weeks ago 'our' underdog was the Champion. Tank was our bully champion maybe a month ago. Neither of these guys are in the equation after losing the strap not too long ago. Though an interim champ, jimmy deserves a rematch.

With everything Jimmy had been through, a true pay off would be him beating Tank at Lution for his first title reign. It was going in that direction until the stripping took place.

The triple threat preview is misleading. It doesn't really bring stability. In story, I imagine Many of us want and think B17 will win. But it doesn't bring stability. It's yet another title change. If Kassidy wins, it's another title change. The only real way to bring some sort of stability is for Jackson to win. We should also keep in mind a triple threat is what started all of this stability in the first place, I'm failing to see how another will make things any better after many of us agreed that a title shouldn't be defended in a three way with targeting the way it is.

In the future, I think we need to wait until pay per views before titles are defended. Atleast If I drop the title next week; I had a decent amount of time to get some wins with the belt before defending it. Jimmy and Jackson never got the appropriate amount of time to breath as champion.

Though the superior show for now, even Riot is suffering from hot potatoe reigns. But atleast they waited until pay per views...up until this week. Tobin was champion for a few minutes and Pugh will be champion for a short period of time before defending again. Losing to Nate won't hurt Pugh. I think Pugh will win. But, if Nate somehow wins, that's less than a two week reign for the belt of all belts on our site. That's not good.
