12 Years Promotion's upgrades and the Like.

Ok the new Season is upon us. So I hope you dudes and dudettes are enjoying some much needed RnR. I know we still have some content in the pipeline IE the Last Turmoil show of the Season, a few Episodes of the Super S Cup 2016, etc. So we still have things jumping even at a slower pace.

 

Now on the prospect of current rookies. And this is anyone who has been a rookie for 5 or so months, you guys are going to get promoted to wrestler. Some of you deserve it some of you should probably look to work a little harder. But going forward for Season 12 the jump from Rookie to Wrestler is going to mean something. In Season 11 I promoted a few names that where not ready and the proof was in the pudding. That being side I also promoted folks that went on to amaze even me. So the bottom line we are going to make those promotions mean something in Season 12. And for those promoted in Season 11 after the 4-5 month mark, don't be down because even at the bare minimum you still have the salt!

 

Also in regards to the current prospect of rookies who joined within the last month or 2 we see you out there just hang tight as you know this is the transition period. If you are serious about OCW in any capacity take this time to ask questions, watch old PPVs from Season 11, and learn. Your input is valuable but no one will know what you got to say until you open your mouth. So by all means ask away.

 

In addition as mentioned on the bookface page, we are looking into ways to bring more community projects and communication to the forefront. I am aware not everyone is best friends here, and there are plenty of little side kliqs and that's ok. Only FAKE, Phoneys, can LIKE everyone. At minimum you can be like me which is indifferent, except for Kass, I hate him a lot, and Parker fluff that guy!. The bottom line I want to help bridge the gaps so at the bare minimum we have the shoutbox, the forum and a mobile platform. Hell imagine paging me in realtime instead of on aim? you could hear me telling you to go jump off a cliff while I am having a Vanilla Chai and you are on the line at Walmart! how cool is that?

We got some ppl dev testing for us early so check the lockeroom thread, and watch the OCW Streams to get the info and ask the questions you want to know moving forward. FPR and Ethics are going to be a major part of Season 12. We have an FPR team being built with a combined 15 years of FPR experience which should help greatly. We are going to have road agents watching matches, you will be called out it's fine we are going to be stricter, it better to learn on your first go round then to pick up bad habits and go (but I been doing this all season) and then get chewed out. We will be tough but fair. That's why it is important to weigh in on the FPR discussion it doesn't matter if your name is GREEN or Orange, every voice matters.

 

And finally, I didn't forget about the Awards show, its a project its a lot of work, but it should be rad I hope or not I don't know. And finally the Video for the 12 Year is just about done (even on the shelf I put in work yall). Oh and before I forget with Season 12 we will need to once again get Assets, videos, cuts etc. The sooner we get another chamber of all those assets the easier it is to make upgraded video content. I have a Riot Video Package in the works, and I'm working on a Turmoil one as well. So help me help yall. I ordered A cap thing (I didn't order it im staring at the page.

 

I IMPLORE ANYONE SERIOUS ABOUT OCW to purchase a capture device. We are learning that our twitch methods are incredibly flawed and we have become sort of lazy in our old age when we had a set number of CAM ninjas and records now we have matches being openly spoiled via twitch and it effects the product, it's not cool its not edgy and when I find out I think it makes you a piece of TRASH and not lovable trash spider trash. I know cap cards are not all that affordable so try to work within your means. I might even start an OFFICE pool for cap cards I don't know yet. With the hope that the more serious cappers get the cap cards first and the less serious get there later!

 

Ok now I'm done, but still if you run into any folks along your travels send em over, I am debating a program to work with other establishments (I won't be spear heading this, I got too much stuff to do) in order to bridge the gap. A lot of dead feds out there that could use the OCWFED touch, I know Bingobango does it on occasion, but I'd like to get more people trying to liaison for us.

Oct 5th marks our official 12 Year Birthday. So light a candle or something. 12 Years is a long time, a lot of horsecrap, dopes, dummies, cowards, phonys, cheaters. As well as a lot of great fking human beings I have had the pleasure to interact with and sometimes meet personally along the way.

 

So here's to Season 12-13-14-15. I think i'll stop at 15..... or not or whatever. K Bai!

Regarding the capture card stuff, if you're running Windows 10, you can record using the Xbox App. You can have it stream to your desktop and then use any recording program (I myself use Shadowplay) to record off of it.

 

I do want to warn you though, the Xbox App on Windows 10 does some strange things to party chat. I've found that if I'm using the stream to Xbox app option, I have to boot the Xbox up fresh with my controller connected to my PC via USB and talk over my computer's headset. It seems to override the normal headset setup for some reason when it is active. Hopefully they'll make some progress in developing it so that isn't the case, but it's a good way to get decent video recorded without having to buy extra hardware.

I twitch and youtube all of my community stuff and have never had an issue at all. I know it happens but I personally haven't had it happen yet. There is also a great program called restroom.io that works great. I am all in here and I hope I've proved it. Ya, sucks to be on this crappy losing streak but even in my FPR issue, the main reason I got hammered is because I was standing up to what I thought was some newbie jerk. I learned my lessons quick and moved on. A CC will be tough for me, personally but I'll do my best. Anything else I can do, feel free to let me know. I am not nearly as good as you with graphics but I can hold my own. I also did our own website for our gaming community where I advertise and push the OCW. I also can do videos, though I don't have the great software that I want. yet! lol. You guys enjoy your small break, boss rest up, and tag me where I can help. I am all in here. I should also have some members from our community sending some apps, since I was bragging on it the other day.

I think that if you plan on using Twitch, it's probably best to immediately check your video manager to make sure that the match was capped, and is around the amount of time you expected. That's what I plan on doing, besides maybe getting a cap card, or having Dennis over for tea and scrumpets so he can show me how to do all the mumbo jumbo he just said.

It's not videos getting capped in 15 minutes, its some of the recorders won't allow you to go the full duration so you have to get 2 downloads. The bigger issue is twitch itself having corrupted feeds.
