Not in order. Sorry if I forgot something.

Blaine Estrella

Solid opener with an unexpected result. Not a huge fan of Blaine attire because street clothes look meh but I understand it was related to the gimmick. Now my only gripe with this match is the amount of strike strike strike corner strike strike strike sequences. Should engage with grapple more often or variegate the play style a little, even though your are trying to be a striker (there are grapples or strong strikes that still fit a striker). Other than that the match was neat, Cool finish and gg to both players

I remember the Timesplitters RPs from last year, I didn't understand it last time, I've found them entertaining this time around but I haven't much to say about them. I definitely enjoyed the other Spiders RPs, the “real” ones. But I understand they have been doing this since forever and want to just mess around and do different, out of the ordinary things.

Three way

Pops for Solomon as expected, great attire from Matteo, I'm still not a huge fan of Caine’s caw but whatever. “OldSchool shooter” was one the highlight of the match. Some close calls and Caine ultimately wins. Happy for him because he's put it the work and because nobody really was expecting him to come out on top at Cide. Still a solid season for Matteo who despite the loss heads into Season 15 with a ton of potential.

TY/B17 is an interesting duo, in a division that clearly lacks tag teams. The mentor/protege deal is simple but works well in Wrestling especially when it mixes ic and ooc as in this case.

Spider Cobra

Personally the match of the night from an ENTERTAINMENT standpoint. It was fun to watch, simple as that. That's due to a mixture of things, probably Spider being Spider (with all of the flaws connected to this) and Cobra being the lovable Daniel Bryan of the situation. Thankfully he escaped the submission move, he lost but was still somehow protected by the way he took the L (roll up) and by the fact he kicked out of the Khallas twice. VP made it 70x times better.

I enjoyed the H2O RP a lot as I enjoyed the whole feud with KD. Not sure how Stacy could like that hairstyle though lol

Tag Ladder

Felt a tiny bit more one sided than expected (Quartz took forever to get to red) but still very entertaining. A spotfest, very WWE style in the way the book their ladder matches. My personal favorite was Rust no selling the knee then going for the comeback. Perfect example of how you can use the game mechanics to create something cool to watch. Not sure what else to say really, I think we possibly have found a way to make tags a bit less boring with added stipulations (ofc if the handlers agree).

The Zoe Ashley Moore program is enjoyable but Moores gimmick is really hard to get behind. It's hard to believe that she is scared shitless of someone who she has beat clean and fairly easily one week ago and who is also smaller than her. It's like Goldberg being scared of Rollins. Hard to get behind and to take seriously, unless you are going for a comedy character a la R Truth, but she has the potential to be more than that imho. That being said I've enjoyed the angle, just need to refine the gimmick a little. Would be interesting to see a rematch at some point.

The KD RP was simple but definitely an improvement from the previous RPs. I feel like the whole “I'm going to steal the title” deal was a bit silly especially when it came from a man who is supposedly an intimidating giant. Felt more like a sissy lol. I like this version of KD more.

Solid RP from Drago, with all due respect I enjoy these more than the P3 segments as they sell the hype for the match more, compared to the more comedy ones. The broken English is the extra touch that makes them unique even though I think he should've learned it by now. No? Lol

H2O KD

For the love of mankind H2O should stop using those girly taunts, especially when he's rocking a pink outfit. JK, but seriously. Fun match, competitive but cleanish and with a solid finish. Not a huge fan of pop ups attempt, they look dumb, even though I understand their competitive nature. H2O retaining was definitely good though, makes the title looks stronger and, given the post match angle, opens up some interesting scenarios in the future. KD needs to fix the moveset a little and either remove the spear as a regular if he wants to keep it as a finisher or claim a different one in the thread.

Maxx Tucker RP, loved it, simple, to the point and wrestling based. A sneaky heel cheapshotting a face. Wrestling 101. Sometimes less is more. I want to see where this is going.

Jehst x TY was unexpected. It's good to see more experienced roleplayers helping others out to get them some exposure. He tried to convince him that teaming up with B17 wasn't a good idea… well. Only time will tell. I see what you did there with the elbow drop reference.

Jett vs Code at some point in the Future? Count me in. It's been brewing since Lution pretty much. Code is a great roleplayer, should definitely be around the main event scene more often.

Wrex Malu

Entertaining contest all throughout. Wrex has a solid moveset and I think he's one of best when it comes to make a match not look like an actual game if that makes any sense. The Samoan commentary was on point too.

If I'm allowed to say one thing (probably not) is that I'm not a huge fan of those fake outs moments, when Malu runs at Wrex fakes the Running fin then hits the other one. The finish looked a bit awkward because of this. Solid contest though, looking forward to the tie breaker now.

Cort x Dupree RP about the FI case theft. Not really sure where this angle is going, but I like the fact that the case is constantly brought up in the storylines, keeps it and his holder relevant. Solid heel work from Cort and entertaining angle all around.

Cobra’s RP was great. He wrote off the defeat, kept his heat going and showed some character. I could picture him still making his entrance with light heavyweight title, possibly going for a LHW vs EX Div rematch? Just an idea. Reign was short but his season was solid.

Wrex wants a rematch at S2R? Let's go.

Drago Nate

Fun match with a lot of hype around it, for those who are informed at least. Some neat spots on the outside even though the game was not cooperating. The Tyga upper on Nate was an awesome spot, and was surprisingly fluid despite it being a standing front finisher. The Jungle 2 Jungle finish was neat.

The final cutscene keeps us wondering if there might be a rematch in the future?

Glad you liked the Rp thank you. Stacy said it’ll take getting used to as well which some may take as her way of saying “I’m not thrilled but its ok” haha

That outfit was coral not pink! Adjust your monitor lol jk.

As far as the taunts I have to update them. When I was playing KD I said damn these taunts are heelish which Harvey isn’t anymore. No more tweener ish.

I'M THE PAST THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE!

We open the scene with Gooch's thoughts.

1. Solid opening with La funions beating Blaine. Blaine has boobs

2. Really liked the CQC vs. Uncrowned ladder match. TTT

3. Fuggin Cobra.

4. School shooter becomes a champ. Poor horse.

5. H20 retains but B17 has a nasty surprise. He want all the belts Harvey

6. Really dug the Emp/Valk stuff. Valk's greatest rival yet.

7. Kass returns and Emp joins his cult.

8. Kass and Emp takes Valk. Great now these sick fucks are gonna do things to her. Whelp. No matter how hard she tries Valk can't escape Kassitaniy.

9. Wrex put up a decent fight against Malu.

10. Drago/Nate was great too. Drago was like Die Cobros and wiped Nate out. Back to the rocking chair.

I give this show a Gooch noise.

Random scattered thoughts:

TY & B connection serves both characters well - it's been good seeing TY getting into an angle, and was good to get an RP in with him.

The matches on this show were all really good, and especially Wrex/Malu, holy shit what a war!

I popped for Spiders attire, been a long ass time since I've heard that music too.

Empress has been the best foil for Valk ever IMO. She has had Showblitz and Blaine, etc, but Empress has taken it 2 new hights. I think the video work and the use of cutscenes and highlight reel stuff during the feud has been great. I don't agree about there not being anyone in the womens division that can step up to face Valk, I think that's a false narrative when you really look out at the womens roster as a whole. Heels on the roster, sure, there aren't as many, but now we have Aerith who's come into the mix, Heather is around, etc. But I really wish Ashley had stayed heel and used her briefcase more to keep on Valk's heels. Now I'm just rambling, but yeah.

Tag team match was great considering the limitations that had to be endured for an online ladder match. Cide 2 Cide. I really hope some people come together to create great tag teams next season, there's plenty of people to do so. Let's hope 2K improve tag matches (insert "Doubt X" meme here).

Salami wins the International Title. Shit, well...damn. Run with it, kid.

Kass return was spoiled in gen chat and one of the other chats before I got a chance to watch the show so the reveal wasn't as impactful when I watched the Valk match but was still a "WTF?!" moment when it happened. Kidnapping is bad mmk?

Jett vs. Code adds another potential upper-card fu-ed to Turmoil which is good as it buffers the top side of Turmoil which has been kinda lacking a little bit. I feel the roster on the blue show is starting to balance out a bit more.

Yup. It's late, I'm done.

There's plenty of people for Valk to fight after the Emp fued dies down, wether they are matched skill wise remains to be scene, I dig this fued I had doubts in the beginning if I want to go into my Dave Meltzer bag id say I liked the first match at Conq better, but the cide match proved emps resiliency. The pivot with kass is amazano! especially with how discord and the twitch stream reacted (so many memes LOL). It's gonna be interdasting to see where this goes.

Shout out to Salami winning the int, I am sure now plenty of ppl are "dming" him once they saw he won. I like salami but he can be dense, here is to a fruitful run!

I dead ass didnt know the tag match was a 4 way until mid way into the match, (thanks 2k for not allowing tag team ladder matches) So that alone all 4 get props, this was probably my favorite tag match of the season, or close to it, the Rust VP tag match was also really fugging good. It's nice to see a team stay a team CQC is the real fucking deal.

Man i hope someone recorded the discord during the LHW match that was such a rollercoaster EVERYONE was invested in that match it had a big match feel and it was actually a really good match. Stupid Coba kicking out of not 1 but 2 KHALASSSAES, hitting his dumb finisher and getting rope breaked :(

then overcoming not 1 but 2 PEPPERTONS! only to be done in by the Spider Special. Great story, great match, what happened after was stupid but OCW always course corrects, we have plenty of stupid shit, like when Parker won his WL3 match and placed the belt in the ring cuz (LOL im done with it) etc. So it gives cobra something to work at and gives some RL/IC heat for the comic book midboss villain spooder.

The CCW match was fucking BANANA.....I said what I said. Told an amazing story, Wrex going 200MPH and everyone going "WELP MALU IS DONE" then I set up the betting and ppl throwing Thousands of Hootbux at Wrex (HAHAHAHAHAA). THEN Malu makes the comeback and continually stuff's Wrex Finisher attempts such a great fucking match probably one of the best if not best of the season (SOMEONE MAKE NOTE)

The Main Event...

Berry goodt match.......

Summercide was a POWERFUL show, top 3 shows of the year, and def top 5 of the last season or 2, change my mind!

Be sure to add any moments to the TOP 50 thread...and thank you to all of our patrons and donations for making this season/event possible. Enjoy the break, and keep practicing cuz we have Rumble Grounds, S2R, OCW LIVE and some other shit in the future (Just cuz its off season doesn't mean we going off full stop)

I feel like this is the tagline of our rookie class.

Thanks to Calum or Adam, whichever one of you it was and my grandfasha spider for doing the Final Word. I know this isn't that thread but fuck you. I love contributing content to shows and reviews and such but it's nice to read things and listen to things that I'm not involved with for a change.

Anyways,

- Holy shit Malu vs Wrex shocked me. I really expected Wrex to take his title back to end the season. I guess it's not his title anymore. I don't hate this, though. Just like the International Title, it only means whomever conquers Malu will be that much more prestigious.

- Empress and Valk was just great. Their creativity and ability to get me excited for matches is unmatched. Even in defeats, Empress is able to elevate herself time and time again through storytelling and good ideas.

- S2R is lining up to be a fun way to end the season.

- Drago is da bes

- I kinda wish Estrella would have won a match or two leading up to her fight with Blaine instead of eating 3 Ls but that only made it that much more shocking when she ripped off that amazing finisher and beat the Gender Brutal Ashley Blaine. Conquering one of the beasts in the women's division was great, even if it did look like Blaine just tossed on whatever clothes she had on her floor that morning.

- idk how many other people agree with Doc and Ev's disappointment in AC Cobra's arc, but I do not. I get that it sucks we had all the build and he lost in his first defense, but I'm not so sure I agree with AC going from this super serious character to a joke after the Ev program ended. He was still AC Cobra all throughout the Ev storyline, he just had a better mix of entertainment/seriousness than he used to, and to be honest, I only think that was because he was more competitive in his matches, not because his storytelling got any better. He was still crowd surfing, having funny interactions with fans, doing his Naruto-run etc. The reason this didn't have the build is because it was impossible for it to. AC was still interacting with his friends and backstage, just not in face to face RPs with Spider, because he had just been released from the Cube and it was a ??? opponent.

I'm sure I'm in the minority there, but I don't see it in the same vein as "oh now he's back to being a joke". I feel like that's only because he lost, and didn't really compete at all in the 2nd half of that match. To each their own I suppose. At any rate, he gets a chance to bounce back at S2R, so that will be very entertaining I'm sure.

- Shout out to the Funcrowned for a fun tag team ladder match. It was Quartz' first ever gimmick match in OCW so I wasn't sure how we'd play it. It turned out very well and honestly, I didn't really expect it not to, just wasn't sure. I guess I didn't realize how impressively we did in the 4 way environment until it was pointed out. I didn't expect to have issues with that, but I popped when I picked up Rust and in the VP spider goes "wait is this a 4 way?"

Looking forward to going wire to wire in season 15 as well, nobody is touching us atm.

- SALAAAAAMIIIIII. Did not expect him to win at ALL. GREAT false finish with the first Killshot broken up then we all thought the 2nd was going to result in a kickout but NO. Amazing heel work from Archer as well, even inadvertent shoot heel work by leaving the fucking WWE Raw banners in his entrance. :unamused:

- Good to see Jett continuing to get involved and going after Code Jackman. Keeps Code involved as well. Maxx does a nice job here as well with JT and a lot of Turmoil guys coming into their own here. Hopefully this continues into season 15.

S2R is next, then Rumblegrounds. Hope everyone enjoys and keep the momentum in S15. See you then.
