What a shit take lmao. From someone who used to be in the fed and wouldn’t really review all like that you’d think you’d be more understanding. It’s not that people can’t take critique, don’t want critique, or ignore it. It’s been a known thing that forum discussion has been on the downhill for awhile now. We have plenty more avenues of digesting OCW content and discussing it. You were also here for this when those alternatives were coming around. So tk see someone essentially having a hissy fit over forum discussion when Quartz comment was more than likely just a snarky/goofy comment is truly mind boggling. You don’t participate in the content but submitting anything, and anyone who does participate by doing content can do as they please. Definitely drop this entitled view that you have cause it’s unneeded and not wanted.

I checked it out when you wrote it. Was just trying to give you some reasoning why this isn’t used as much while attempting to be funny

Since we're all having a lovely conversation I will add my two cents!

 

Spoiler alert here: I like doing longform reviews, in theory, but I feel like I'll offend someone if I tell them their stuff doesn't interest me or I don't like it, so I think I'll just stick to a few things that stuck out to me, be they good or bad.

 

• Cutlass seems like the natural challenge to Sanctum, since they were in that sick 2v1 that also managed to not make them look weak. I originally was of the opinion that James soloing the final three was weird, but in hindsight, it was more a credit to both teams than a simple burial of Cutlass. I think a single team tag match between the two will be much more straightforward and equally competitive, and I can't call who'd win that match, especially with Bax being VERY good at this game from what I've seen.
  
• I really like this face Quartz. That's it. That's the tweet. Combined with the run he had as Ijitu, he gives me "Big Dog" Roman Reigns vibes, where he's a friendly enough dude with a moral compass that isn't afraid to beat the BITCH out of people when they step to him incorrect. Looking forward to seeing the man come back around.
  
• I understand Tony has a story to build with three different challengers, but it feels like he's spread out a LOT on the show. I can mostly forgive it since he's a world champion, and in a weird way, it works with his character (at least the way I see it OOC) as the ship that passes by in the night, the champion that everyone looks past when they talk about the scene while he quietly puts away banger after banger. I feel like he's got underdog energy going into this defense, even though in all honesty, the whole field is pretty even save for, in my opinion, one person.
  
• Speaking of that one person, I really don't like the new Rust. I don't know if he's going for a MITB '11 CM Punk gimmick, or what his plan is, but it's not landing for me. I can't be a hypocrite and say he doesn't deserve to be in the title picture, b/c he absolutely has the tenure and story required to be in that echelon, but this character just falls a little flat for me. I hope that, if Rust really is taking a break after Lution, Pierre comes back reinvigorated and with something new and exciting for the character. I always expect the best from Pierre, and I know he can deliver.
  
• DDE is just becoming Mexican Bullet Club at this point isn't it? I don't mind though! I like that they have a cohesive theme now, even if it doesn't exactly ring with their gimmick. The 'Los Intocables' subname is a diamond tbh and I feel like they should continue to use that as well.
  

I agree with your input on quartz. It’s good to see him back and pushing forward as a face. I guess for me it’s hard to see quartz as a face since he’s so good at playing the heel. But it’s always nice to Shake things up once in a while.

 

I slightly disagree with your input on rust as Jake himself has once said rust has always been this master mind chicken shit type person that will confront you face to face but deep down he working on something to screw you over. Rust has been on point for a while and even if it is true that he is leaving or retiring or whatever you want to call it the character has been running at almost 100% for a while. Sometimes you need that time away to get a fresh view of the character and make people want to see you again. It’s not always a good thing to leave while your hot but sometimes it’s the best option.

But CG's point actually confirms that this is working because I, myself, hates Rust right now (the behavior), and would like the audience to feel the same.

 

Also I dont need reinvigoration. And your matches, CG, are flat and anticlimatics. Wink.

 

But that's beside the point. I am just kidding, I also don't post reviews because if I do, people will say "French Pugh" or that i don't like anything because of the stigma. I am also totally fine with that.

 

That said, builds, especially during Lution season, are not great this year, to me obvisouly.

 

Not everybody can be Cort or Bobby Minio, but werds are just.. Okay or downright generic. And I don't say that because we have generic characters and champions, of course. Double wink.
