Not bad all in all with a few distinct highlights for me. The W's for Cross & Bold this week help their feud develop nicely. The "strangers" were a nice touch as well. The Trips/MMM segment was a pretty unique idea that was pretty badass.

 

p.s. Congratulations Parker. You were the better man....hope to fight again for it in the near future.

 

& on a side note Smythe's music is really starting to grow on me....damn

Cross Examination Part 1

 

Page 1

Show start off with Death Row backstage. Mace and A-Jax are anxious to see who Cross has chosen to face Bold. It takes a minute before Cross whispers over in their direction his pick. Death Row seems to be pleased with the choice.

 

Nothing like a damn good hardcore match to kick off Riot. Mace dominates the opening portion of the bout but once the weapons break out Parker takes the upper hand. Several times Mace went for grapples or weapon hits and the animations just did not connect. Very unlucky. This was a great match up between two guys with the hardcore perks…definitely a match up I would like to see again. Parker still be perfect going into Lution.

 

Parker cuts a promo after the match reminding everyone he is 18-0 as hardcore champ and at Lution he will beat Valmont and make it 19 consecutive wins.

 

The camera cuts to footage backstage of Chris Mania being attacked by a guy wearing a red hood and red skull mask. Hmmmm…3 consecutive weeks someone from OCW has been tossed into that garbage truck ha. Nice promo, looking forward to this development.

 

Backstage Leon is being interviewed. I don’t know this RP didn’t really capture the tension for me. Maybe it’s because Jim Black sucks at asking questions. Anyways Smythe interrupts one of Leon’s questions and tells him that on Turmoil the reason he did hit him was he “didn’t have the balls” Leon says it was because he wants Smythe 100% …Smythe is ladder master and a weapons expert god this guy is full of himself! I do know one thing else he’s good at he didn’t mention and that’s falling short. I have Smythe not living up to the hype and losing at Lution.

 

Page 2

Guy and VS. cut a funny promo backstage. “Leave Bauers Mother out of this!” Classic quote. Coop is there to help Versus with his swearing problem. Guy doesn’t want Versus wearing his plaid jacket to the ring for the lumberjack match and Guy bough a book to study called Nipples Rings…They Hurt…two times as much. Ha nice stuff.

 

We’ve got Smythe making his way to the ring with his solo weekly entrance. The Terminator 4 reference got me laughing. I can just picture Smythe with terrible acting owning Arnold. Bauer comes on the X-Tron and announces that he is the pick!

 

Bauer vs Smythe a rematch from Indy live. A memory refresher Smythe worked Brad however Brad did not have much experience playing 08. Let’s see if what Brad can make of this time around. This was a good match only thing I’m not a fan of is the running at your opponent and stopping then punching or grappling. I don’t know I’ve always found that to be partially cheap. Also the drop kick to knee was attempted a little much. With that said much more of an improvement of match quality then their previous meeting. Brad puts up a fight, however falls short once again.

 

After the match Smythe is attacked by two red hooded and masked men. He is chased up the ramp area then owned by a running DDT. The numbers are growing. I have a feeling there are more of them lurking.

Camera cuts to an OCW tour backstage. Got to love OCW always giving the fans what they want unlike the E…anyways Trips interrupts and gives a little mention of how OCW doesn’t compare to CCW and that at Lution he will be involved in a 4 corners of wood match. Trips is then headed toward the cafeteria where he gets a phone call. Sounds like he’s going to be a pick your poison opponent…but for who?

Camera cuts to the parking lot where Malu get jumped from behind by one of the masked men. LOOK OUT! THEY’RE EVERYWHERE!

 

Backstage Adrian Bold makes his way to the Sensational Alliance’s personal bar where not many of them are present. Obvious reason they are getting owned. Bold is having a convo with one of the remaining members about wrestling Cross as his chosen opponent. Bold is confident Cross will get worked by this mystery man and he offers to repay with a favor anytime because he has no more money to pay (spent it all on the smoke HA!). Gee hmmm wonder who Bold picks…?

 

Trips shows up as Leon’s pick your poison opponent. This was a damn good match. Nice spot is when Trips tosses the ref into Leon. Trips rolls out and grabs chair. Leon reverses Trips shot then nails him with the chair busting Trip open. Nice one. Leon goes to set up Trips for the finisher but Leon is unable to hit it (his ribs were hurt). Trips takes advantage of this and ends up submitting Leon for the win. Great match, match of the night candidate.

 

This segment with Trips and MMM was BADASS!!! Trips beats down a rowdy fan out of frustration over MMM. The lights go out while Trips is in the ring only to turn back on with a table propped up on each corner of the ring. Trips runs away out of fear. Once he’s nearly escaped the lights go off again and when they come on Trips is trapped in between tables and unable to escape. This segment has just fired me up for the 4 corners of wood match. Awesome stuff!

 

That concludes The Cross Examination Part 1, great stuff so far. I’ll read and watch the rest when I get the chance.

 

Match of the Night Candidates: Parker vs Mace was a back and forth battle great match. Also Trips vs Leon. It's a tie right now between these two.

 

Im going to add something new to the Cross Examination.

 

RP/Video Segment of the Night Candidates: The masked men attacks are great but hands down the MMM/Trips 4 corners of wood segment. Very original. OCW always finds ways to deliver new entertaining stuff from this game. That in and of its self is incredible.

I'm gonna do this early cause this show isn't really that good and well.. Lution Hype is all that anyone should be talking about from tomorro on...

 

Mace and Jax are trying to find out who Cross picked to face Bold... I woulda picked you JAX... I believe in my henchmen... even tho you both jobbed to Bold a few weeks ago... haha

 

Mace impressed me in this match... hardcore matches do suck ethics wise tho... usually cause there's a title on the line... brings out the worst in people... I'm becoming a massive Mace fan tho... because he's learned to hang with the big boys so quickly... I think he can beat Cross in a match now... I knew he wouldn't win.. cause he kept missing with weapon grapples... but it was a good match.. something that could've been a great feud AFTER lution... but we got it before and now he's jobbed his chance away... so it goes...

 

Spoon is PWNED and taken away in a dumpster... haha... jobber Spoon... haha

 

Next poor Leon tries to have an interview with Black... but well.. Leon brought my name up... and I was there... like he doesn't know I have whisper 2000 BIATCH...

 

Versus and Guy still have trouble being friends... and Versus can't wear Plaid tonight for that reason... allergies my ass...

 

Smythe is up first in his pick your poison match... and in a turn of events Brad Bauer picks himself to take Smythe on... Brad and Smythe really hate each other.. as you can tell... as Brad would rather get in the ring and fight himself than send anyone else into the ring... another reason I'm the ALPHA-HEEL..

 

anyway to go indepth on my match with Brad... Brad apparently had a plan going into this match... as this is not the same Brad Bauer that's been wrestling in Prior weeks... he's aggresive and he initiates contact at every chance... kinda like how I play... after losing a few exchanges I figure Brad out... I continuously walk toward my oppoment... (trying to play like nate) or I run (trying ti play like Majin) Brad was just waiting for me to get into range then he attacked before I did.... eventually I start to stop or retreat just as I get into range... or instead of walking directly toward Brad I walk to his side making him miss whatever he tried to do for a while... and it changed the entire match... sometimes the little things lead to wins... this chess match was great... and Match of the night in my eyes... well second...

 

AHHH shyt.. I get PWNED after... but in my defence it took infact 2 guys to jump me... not like Spoon... haha...

 

Trips... your not supposed to interupt the tours dammit.... that's where the money comes from... I allowed you to come to my show once... Never again dammit...

 

Malu??? JUMPED??? by one person??? I call shinanagans... Malu is unjumpable. ...

 

SPOILER... I know who Bold picked after that...

 

Leon and Trips is a Tyler fest straight from Vancouver itself... WOW... missed grapple after missed grapple then it was tyler,tyler,tyler grapple... hows that for a combo... haha... worst display ever was when Leon has flashing finisher close to the end.. trips Tylers him 3 times in a row... using up all of Leons finisher... ridiculous...

 

the MMM trips vid after was awesome... it could never happen in real life... but it was awesome... creativity to the max...

 

Air swings heel in one of Lution greatest storylines... Air tries to rig the Ex-gauntlet... but his genious is ruined by stupid VImes... asshole...

 

Cross picks up a massive win against the champ.... MASSIVE... the match was decent... classic ME guy against non ME guy... only problem is... that match won't put Cross over as anything close to ME... first off... Cross uses more than 10 irish whips in the match... and as a powerhouse guy it's just sad... just completely out of character... I know the Non Me guys wants to get the win... but performing in ring is infact more important than the win or the loss...

 

I don't want to sound like a dick because there's alot of things to look at in this match that leads to the upset... first off... 08's most important rule... "quick grapple beats strong grapple" we see it happen all the time... but in this match it happens alot... Cross Strong grapples 4 times the entire match... (yes I counted) he catches Majin many times when Majin goes for strong grapples... I did see why Cross said the run in and attack thingy is kinda cheap... but it's used to counter people backing away constantly... something that you happen to do in that match... as you walk away from Majin he dashes in to close the gap... in my match with Brad earlier we both dash in often to keep the action to strictly attack and reverse which is the essence of the game...

 

Majin attacks all the time... and rarely is forced to use his counter buttons... that's just how he plays... but ring rust had Cross beating Majin to the punch often... and effectively... Cross plays a good match of winning exchanges when he can and he wears Majin down... Cross pretty much has the same technique of quick grapple, ground grapple that VV almost beat Pee Stee with a few weeks ago in the hardcore title match...

 

Cross did have his reversal buttons in high form tho as he countered like a boss throughout the match... but his gameplay mchanics were shaddy... meaning the win won't count for as much where it matters... watching matches like this is what guys should do to look for what makes the ME guys... and what game mechanics will get you to the top of the OCW ladder... final word good win for Cross... but not an over match... just a W... that will be forgotten...

 

HAAH RD gets owned... sludge on him... by 1 guy again...

 

Reed and Strider reminding the odd couple that they're destined for failure at Lution... poor guys... I do like Reed and Strider tho... to bad I've whoped on both of them in the past... and they problably don't like me too much right now...

 

WHY THE HELL IS VEGA FIGHTING BOLD???? where is Mayhem... or Cooper... or fucking Big joe D.. anybody but a Lhvy??? wow... I'm assuming that the next RP of Vega retiring is because Bold crushes him in less than 6 minutes... WHOOHOO... Spoon doesn't have the record anymore from owning me... haha....

 

Kang and Double A with no video representation of their Feud pretty much all the way through... and Double A misses the riot before Lution... hmmm....

 

Fausto Kage was pretty competitive... Guy plays like it's a must win... with constant running attacks... he also uses that pansy armdrag stun that I hate more than 10 times... Versus is a Lumberjack pylon.... haha... Guy is perhaps the toughest guy in OCW to play tho.... and it shows.... Kage spends alot of the match afraid of Guys running attack tho... staying in his corner... very interesting match indeed....

 

 

after the match... well Kage leaves Majin to get owned by Versus and Fausto... then... we find out what the red dude attacking the SA guys is all about... Watch it yourselves people...

 

This Riot is the worst one in the last 6 weeks... but I guess with everyone getting their Lution work done... it's excusable... still a good show... just nothing spactacular happens...

Just a quicky reply to what you said, Ill say more when I finish the Examination tomorrow, but if you watch my matches I dont have quick grapple strike combo set ups like most everyone else does. For some people here its almost a set up quick grapple before every strong grapple is executed. Almost everytime I try go for a straight up strong grapple without any setup it gets broken up by strikes. So I dont know what you want me to do. I don't play many dark matches and when I do most are against Bold...youve seen his style. Maybe ill change it up and start resorting to the cheap running tactics...bet you call me out for being to big for it...this or that.

 

I beat the champ going into Lution, I've got the momentum, the only reason it will be forgotten is because people don't want to recognize the fact it happend. It wasnt a hyped match, he was a mystery opponent, the title wasnt on the line, there was no stipulation, nothing came out it but it was a HUGE win for me regardless.

Good Cross Exam & Wonder Report. Very thorough stuff. Forgot to say Bauer picking himself was a great twist! & I do agree about Malu now that you mention it Smythe....takes more than 1 to jump him....However I think that Cross's win won't be forgotten because it was a pick-your-poison & also both he and Bold won them so the whole feud seems stronger & less forgettable than if one of them would've won & the other would've lost.

 

& though you and Cross may have liked my match I don't. I don't think it's really that good of a match either. I do okay & then play like shit & Parker owns me. Nothing remotely near good. The only thing I really mark for in that match was when he blasts me w/a chair shot & I get pumped up and taunt only to be put down immediately by a 2nd chair shot.

 

I do agree post-lution would've been the best time for this match which I had stated before a few times....but maybe after a few W's a feud can happen after all....hear that Parker?
