I'll never forget the time you ran kicking and screaming to a GM about losing your debut Infamous match vs Big Joe D and his partner.

 

We did a 20-30 minute tag team match. Everyone was bleeding, eveyone pulled off a cool move somewhere, was alot of outside the ring action. Barbarian did nothing but kick out of grapple attempts the whole fucking match. Me and my partner let it slide.

 

Yet at the end of the match. Where it was chaos and everyone was going for the pins. You guys ended up losing. Yea, I slipped and did a kick out on a grapple for a finisher. But you couldnt let it slide.

 

Instead of just posting the match, taking the loss. And perhaps having a rematch or something cool. You made everyone redo the match until you got the result you wanted. A Win. The match that was posted was a boring POS.

I just said fuck it and let you guys kick our ass in less than 8 mins because you drained our OCW souls with your dumbshit. I have yet to recover, lol.

 

In short. Getting a stupid fucking Win, meant more to you than posting a fun show to watch.

we all want to win and this is a league, it seems his(bolds) ethics fall on the side of "i do this i can still win and its not againts fpr" where someone else would say "i can't do that i would give me and advantage and i'd rather have a good match instead of win"

 

2 different mental ideas will equal different results in situations.

 

there is not a rule in fpr for example that stats with in 7 knockdown's you can't go for 3-4 ground grapples. that ground grapple example is not against fpr some will say its bad ethics but others will say "hey i want to win and if he doesnt want to get hit with a ground move he can reverse." some say its ethics but that is coming form people who maybe don't come from or have that same competitive background as someone like bold and would rather want ethics to be the key in thier rmatch.

 

this is to big of a grey area unless fpr can iron out specifics you can't really say he is at fault for being competitive and following fpr rules in a "League" because maybe the guys who stand so strict to ethics are on the wrong side instead, maybe they should be more aggressive and what not instead of bold having to tone down.

 

 

just tyring to see both sides.

 

if all we care about is entertainment then lets just have pre-determind winners and turn into a real wrestling fed? But if we still want the competitive edge then we need to figure ethics out.

 

Thank your diety of choice that you are in the minority then. This is not, nor has ever been purely a league...OCW is an e-fed. If you want what you suggest, I'm sure you can find what you want on the IGN boards (I am not suggesting that you leave, nothing of the sort, I'm just trying to make a point).

 

There was a time in OCW when storylines had much more weight than wins or losses. The game was an integral part of OCW life, don't get me wrong. It's just that if you wanted to move up the card, you had better be RPing on an almost weekly basis. Entertainment was highly valued. Nowdays, angles are just a formality as the almighty 'W' is king. You don't even need to have angles to hold a title as of late (not a dig at anyone in particular). This enviroment is where the less than ethical people thrive and is evidenced by the 'grey area' you speak of.

 

I do have a solution, and I'm sure most everyone will balk at it....make a rule/guidline for every possible senario that can happen in the game, basically writing down the ethics. This way there is NO QUESTION as to what is legal and what is not.
