We study the Heart of a Kang, Chino possibly being left in the Boldust, Parker and Anthony try to figure out which one has the most famous initials - A.M. or P.S., Mayhem and Josiah wrestle in a new artistic stop-motion method, I wonder if Dawonder was torn asunder by franchize thunder and The Sensational Alliance lives up to their name by continuing to one-up the good guys every time they mix it up in tag team action. As I was hinting at with the intro, I wasn't able to rank Mayhem vs. Josiah, as the video was just too glitchy. I couldn't tell if they had just countered a strong or quick grapple and sometimes I couldn't even tell how many punches were thrown as they would be standing there one second and then backing up ,while holding their chest, the next. http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/9472/lotrriot22808op3.png HIGH SCORE LORD NATE ORTIZ: Well... I've actually run out of things to say about Nate. If this keeps up, I move that we start putting Nate in 2-on-1 matches. On the bright side, Smythe is the first to break the 100 point curse. Here's to Dawonder Child for getting within double digits of The Franchize. Your time is coming, Nate... and I'll be there to reek all the benefits. CLIFFSNOTES: The last sentence was taken from the film, "Wedding Singer", where Jon Lovitz's character - a rival wedding singer to Adam Sandler's character - notices that his competition is snapping under the pressure. CLOSEST MATCH BOLD vs. CHINO: Two freakin' points. The equivalent of hitting two strikes or a running attack. That's all that separated Chino from Bold... and perhaps a few chromosomes. Bold may have gotten the W, but it was just by the golden skin of his teeth... what ever that means. Who the hell started that saying and what does it mean, exactly? Skin of his teeth? BIGGEST GAP NATE vs. SMYTHE: Despite breaking the curse and actually leading on points for the better part of the match, Smythe ran out of gas near the end and Nate worked his magic. While ranking the match, I thought Smythe was going to finally beat the Natester, which turned into me thinking he would only lose by a few points, which eventually turned into me cursing Nate's name once again. Oh well, I'm hoping my boy, Kage, will put Nate in his place when the time comes. Don't let me down, Kage as you are the angriest, most pessimistic person on these boards. Use that rage and hatred of all things joyfull, to destroy Nate once and for all. I will be posting random videos of Emo bands and cute little kittens to hopefully motivate you even more. http://www.antipope.org/charlie/gifs/shoot_kitten.jpg HONORABLE MENTION SENSATIONAL ALLIANCE: Because they've been kickin' ass with no time to take names. I always enjoy when bad guys win so often... especially in wrestling. Although the sheer size of the faction is ridiculous - I think it consists of 90% of the roster, with only Versus, Guy and Nate making up the other 10%. I'd put my name in that 10% but even I'm not sure if I'm part of the Alliance or not. Hell, for all I know, that freakin' kitten could be an honorary member as well.

A little simple, but the colors work well. The prison bars aren't that even, with the end of the main title looking a little off, like an extra bar was pasted behind it in an attempt to even it out but not quite. I like the fonts you used but the tubes (cut out pics) of Bold and Cross are jagged and look a little like old school Virtu Fighter; especially around the heads. None the less, I didn't really notice any of this upon first glance so the image was still popping enough to make me check it out.

The match did drag on but it was due to me forgetting about the Red/Orange rule and reversing Malu's original finish attempt. Malu is an "even-steven" kind of guy if you watch his matches, so he probably just returned the favor and waited until I was DR as well to end it. As for other people trying to milk the clock, I just don't think people would risk a win just to get more points... at least I know I wouldn't. Matches already dragged on before the LotR started, which is why I took people's advice and gave a 15 minute time limit. Yes, I noticed that Trips did walk backwards allot of the time, but he still came very close to RD when it came to the points and the match was fairly even in my eyes, so I'm still sticking with Trips as a Main Event Caliber wrestler. However, I like your comment about Main Eventers usually pressing the action... because I walk forward all the time :P

Just to let you know, it took forever to make that shirt. Each letter had to be separate because it doesn't fit when you just spell it out at once. As for me getting back into the flow of things, I feel I'm pretty much back in the flow, thanks to facing guys like Blood and Malu right off the bat. The only thing is adjusting to the knew rules, such as being able to hit a fin when opponent is Red/Orange. It completely escaped my mind during the match. None the less, I ranked my match with Malu ahead of time and I gotta say I'm more than pleased.
-
The reason it's been so long since RD and I have had a match is mostly due to our inability to successfully even start a match. Although I was expecting to be facing Trips this week, it's an interesting twist to see Trips facing my opponent from this week and Mad Mike facing Trips' last opponent.

Strikes are worth one point each. If you do multiple ground strikes, only the first strike is counted. Running attacks are worth 2 points, as it's not that far off from hitting a strike, just with an extra button added for the running. Not many people reverse running attacks because of how sudden they usually are and I don't want to encourage people to constantly use running attacks.

Man... posted at 5AM (central). Only the hardcore of hardcore wrestling fans stay up late enough to watch such goodness... or get up that early, depending on how you look at it. None the less, the first post is mine, suckas.
-
Match has been ranked and added to the chart. The updated LotR chart and recognitions are now up. Sorry, Blood, but your are no longer High Score Lord. Victory is mine after all. Count it!

Gary faces Stevens but has no o'dea what he's up against, Aries rams his way through Poe and the Ironman is upset... let's hope he doesn't go Benoit on his ass, Black Perfection tries to avoid the police as he fits the description of every black man in the U.S., Mania faces his mini blond doppleganger and no, you aren't a loser for watching the whole match, Blood claims victory over Madness but his kidneys probably feel like Double A's liver afterwards and RD Money sports Mania's "Sheep Chain" when he attempts to put Trips away in one doozy of a main event. Stop asking about the Madness Report, because you're about to get a dose of the Lord Report. http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/1503/lotrturmoil22708rg2.png HIGH SCORE LORD: SETH IRVING (Previously Richard Blood): It was brought to my attention that I had missed a match between Ministry and Seth Irving. Upon reviewing of the Show, I ranked the lost match. With the updated rank chart, Seth Irving now becomes the High Score Lord of Week 8. Not to take anything away from Seth - as I had mention below, he is as tough as nails - but his score wouldn't have been so high had Ministry not used his RAMPAGE mode to escape the 1-2-3 after Seth first hit his finisher. The match went on for another 2 minutes or so. Thus, the 600+ points. CLOSEST MATCH RD MONEY vs. TRIPS: No surprise here. With most of the matches being fairly one sided, the Main Event was a Wrestlution caliber match. At first, Trips was dominating the match, but RD isn't CCW Champion on a fluke. He puts on his diamond plated thinking cap and puts himself back in the game in no time. The match continues at a neck n' neck pace right up until the end when RD sets up for the fin. A MOTY candidate if I ever saw one. BIGGEST GAP Aries vs. Poe: Bah, for a second I thought the new rankings made Seth vs. Ministry the new biggest gap, but Aries vs. Poe turns out the be just slightly bigger. I forget what I typed here... but I'm sure it was poetic genus. Anyways, I know it had something to do with people using Steven's sand filled lungs and punching bags. HONORABLE MENTION GUY, VERSUS, BLADE and NATE: What do you get when you combine the RP skills of these individuals... and Nate's name? You get a heavy dose of funny, that's what. Makes me wish they would hurry up and do another radio show, because I loves me the funnies. Keep up the good work, fellas.
-
Stop jerk'n people, Guy... you know what I meant. Anyways, I checked up on this St. Ortiz and it turns out there really was a saint by that name. Apparently, he would own all the the other saints by being naturally more saintly. The fact that he was a mute, only increased ownage factor and eventually the other saints ejected him from the church. He even died and came back to life, claiming that God was tired of losing every game of Jenga and sent him back along with his friend, Boxing Jesus.
-
Yeah, I was really happy with that mix. Maybe I can re-edit the song to fit my new entrance animations, so you never know.
-
Unfortunately, no. There are usually 10 or more matches with RP's mixed in that I just wouldn't have the time. I probably will go back and review the wins/losses, just for records sake, but PPV's are not ranked at this moment. In fact, one of the reasons week 7 took so long to post, was because I wanted to watch the PPV.
-
-_- I kind of figured it was staged or there was a reason why they didn't want it ranked - thus why Smythe interfered - but, I'm gonna go ahead and put this out there again. 1. If you edit the original match, please send me a copy of the original so I can rank. 2. If the match is staged, please send me a PM that lets me know.
-
Which one. The original original... or just the one last year? Anyways, I wanted to use it this year, but they took away certain parts of my entrance so the timing doesn't match anymore. Besides, I like the my new theme.

Why not?

Strider wrestles one of his college buddies, Smythe smites thee, Leon goes for the... oh noes, Fausto lifts two tons of man with ease, Adrian wasn't as close as he thought and Ma'Jin remains the one true Kang. RIOT brings us allot of back-n'-forth action - heavy on the back. ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/5525/lotrriot22108ey2.png HIGH SCORE LORD NATE "Why do we still allow him to play" ORTIZ: Seriously, though? The man that makes one appearance per month just to let us know he's a bad mama jama, returns to the ring once again and does what he does best. Bold, you did remarkably well against The Franchize, but even the Bold Standard wasn't high enough to keep the match within 100 points. CLOSEST MATCH MA'JIN vs. KANG: Two very close matches on this episode, but these two brought it within a glittered eyelash. Following the consistent pattern of leap frogging - meaning that just about every match had one man leading, only for another to take it during the second half - this Main Event earned the title, despite not having the title on the line. Damn, I'm clever. BIGGEST GAP NATE vs. BOLD: Nate juices. What, I'm just throwing that out there. If FPR Police want to investigate him on a simple comment on my part, who am I to argue? HONORABLE MENTION THE REACH AROUND: We salute you, reach around. Bauer used you to dominate a rookie and Sean pays homage to your usefulness. With each passing week, more and more pay tribute to your reachiness and roundness. Perhaps due to the iffy (if I may borrow a word from Smythe) "Punch Free" system, there seems to be another technique that's becoming ever popular these days. Grab your opponent and then maneuver around to his back before he can sneak in a stomach punch or knee to the ribs. The technique has proven to be solid and sound, but is it on the road to being abused/over used?
-
Freakin' aye... first I go against Blood, now I gotta face his pet, Sloppy Samoa Joe? Thats all fine and dandy with the Mad One. I'll turn Malu into Jell-O and take on the whole armada if I have to. You wanna bang with the baddest brawler in the biz and get your bubble-body busted, then go ahead and eat your final solid piece of pie, my pudgy friend. *Impersonates Jaysin* Jiggly Puff, I choose you... to get your big ass kicked by Mad... Michael... Morrison, the people's madness.

:( Rusty MMM? Alright, so I was a bit rusty, but it's really like riding a bike. I seriously thought Blood was going to wipe the floor with me, but despite some things I need to work on - like actually connecting with a move after getting a strong grapple - it felt good to fight something other than the AI. As for the match going 4 minutes after being DR, Blood is a true showman and kept attempting to hit his "set-up". One of the attempts was actually edited out due to me accidentally hitting the "Stored Brawler Special" for a second time. We pretty much just stood there until it ran out, so I figured nobody wanted to see that part. -
THANK YOU SIR! May I have another?!
-
Asylum... oh, how I miss thee. Anyways, this should be interesting. I was hoping they would have a show with nothing but matches, but I guess a show with Rookie RP's can be just as entertaining in a different kind of way :P
-
Shortest Ironman Match ever, Carlos doesn't like rotten apples, Pugh gives us an impressive loss, a tag match that sounds like "Trip on weed and gain a horse" - yes, I realize I have a weird view on things - and last, but certainly not least, Versus promo's his favorite restaurant and it ain't The Versus Bar. I just wanted to say that I didn't display the Malu vs Alex Cooper, because it was pretty much a living RP. I enjoyed the "match" and I'm a big fan of Malu and Blood, but there was nothing really to rank. I also decided not to rank the match between Vindicator and W.A.P, but I had already started keeping score, so I though it would be fun to see how they tallied before the 5 minute match was over. OK, maybe it was more like 10 minutes, but it was way too short to rank.... as I'm sure Heaton hears all the time. ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/149/lotrturmoil22008me8.png HIGH SCORE LORD CHRIS RYDER: I have to say that I think Ryder is better than ever. I remember wrestling him in 2007 and he was a tough cookie, but he's adapted very well to 2008. So much so, that I think he's actually better in 2008 than in 2007. A very impressive match for the Night Ryder. CLOSEST MATCH AIR vs. PAUL PUGH: Only 52 points, which was just one point closer than Bauer vs. Ryder. So if you wanna get technical, the closest match was Air/Pugh vs. Bauer/Ryder... hehe, Bowel Rider. Anyways, the funny part about these matches is that both of the losers actually won on points. Paul Pugh even managed to go from scoring 178 points in his first match against Kraven, to a wopping 417 points his second go around. BIGGEST GAP CARLOS CRUZ vs. ROTTI: You could easily see the difference between the two right from the get go. Different lifestyle choices, different fighting styles and Carlos shows how OCWFED.NET can improve your overall game after time. I remember when we used to actually do dark matches against unknowns back in the PS2 days and this is what this match reminded me of. You could easily tell that Carlos was someone who's been playing the OCW style for a while, because of the technique, the strategy and just how much smoother his actions where. Don't get me wrong, Rotti is definitely different and reminds me a bit of Ma'Jin when he first came around. The Caporeira spinning roundhouse was definitely fun to see connect, but it was like watching a horse trying to walk for the first time. You could tell he was having trouble adjusting to the OCW style of wrestling and perhaps even frustrated Carlos on a few occasions when it came to the "Punch Free" aspect. Basically, I dig Rotti's look and fighting style, but he needs some more polishing before he can make a name for himself within these pessimistic walls. HONORABLE MENTION THE AIR: For getting owned by bad in-game physics, yet still trying, damnit. During his match, Air attempted to jump over the ropes and onto his downed opponent, who was helpless on the outside padding. He tried once around the 7:20 mark and again at 12:08. Each time, an invisible wall - or strong gust of air, if you will - denied him his Air Time and knocked his baby blue ass back into the ring, landing face first onto the mat. The first time made me chuckle, but when I saw him going for the second attempt, I actually watched, with much anticipation, to see if he would finally overcome the invisible wall of denial. Here's to you, Air, for fighting the transparent odds and trying your best to entertain us. I was rooting for you, buddy.

New tag line?
-
Although she was more vicious than a wolverine on the rag, the match was rather short, as she damages easily. She's tough, but she ain't exactly built like Beth Phoenix. Bauer started to get a fix on her and soon enough, she was walking around with her hand on her own head for once. And yes, as I said before, Smythe seems to get better with each match. Whether he wins or loses, he's progressively earning more points each time. Sure, Mayhem may have had the match won at one point, but he failed to hook the leg and the ref had no choice but to break the pin. A win is a win, as they say.
-
Leonheart still has heart, Mayhem forgets about the ropes, Parker Cena overcomes the not so overwhelming odds once again, Casey makes LotR history and Guy survives a close shave. All this and not much more, when we dive into the RIOT and try to snag some free literal loot. ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/7203/lotrriot21408gh3.png HIGH SCORE LORD Guy Fausto: Well, the little dainty dork finally did it... he scored the most amount of points among his peers. It was no easy task, I guarantee you that. Blade was actually all over Guy like a cheap suit on RD Money. Even with Guy's impressive weight loss (which earned him the roll as Subway's new Jared) Guy just wasn't up to speed with the switchblade quickness that Blade brought to the rumble. There were a couple of times when Blade was able to punch his way out of Fausto's grasp, but Guy kept his cool and worked his way to a comeback. Unfortunately, the time limit expired right when Guy unleashed a series of moves that lead to his finisher and the dub. Sorry, Guy... rules is rules. CLOSEST MATCH Parker Stevens vs. Josiah Cross: Actually a tie between this match and Guy vs. Blade, but I don't want their heads to swell to Dawonder proportions, so I'll skip them. The match with Parker and Josiah wasn't exactly busting the ceiling when it comes to points, but Josiah revealed some impressive weapon handling skills... which makes sense, considering his past. Parker, of course, is Parker. We've come to expect his unrivaled Hardcore Mastery and his ability to drop the Bow from anywhere in the arena. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the next time he hits it, it's from the top of an audience member's head. The only downside is how the weapons distracted both men from garnering any real points in this match. Trying to hit someone with a chair can be time consuming and it causes more damage than a suplex, making it difficult to go the distance. If you don't believe me, try hitting your girlfriend with a chair about 20 times and then see how long you last in the sack. I'm aware that this is how Heaton probably picks up chicks in the first place, but we won't count him. BIGGEST GAP Leonheart vs. Anthony Martin: Leon hits the ranking board with a vengeance, putting a nice gap of 126 points between him and Anthony Martin. Anthony had a 2-2 record and average of 315 points per match before this point, but Leon's desire to establish himself as a top competitor was just too much for the Martini Man. Leon may not be friends with everyone in the back, but no one can deny his obsession with being #1. Anyone with that much drive, tends to be a hard man to stop and makes him someone I'd prefer to have on my team, as opposed to it. HONORABLE MENTION Casey Paine: Casey is breaking new ground where ever she goes. Multiple Women's Champion, former ToP member, accompanying the current OCW Champion and competing against men like it ain't no thang. She outdoes herself this time around and becomes the first woman... nay, first wrestler to break 100 points in less than two minutes. Congrats Casey - now you have something to talk about while the doctor is putting a laser to your genital warts. Joke of the Day: How do you turn a washing machine into a snow blower? Give the bitch a shovel.
