The NEW DESK Episode 2 "The Obsidian Neaderthal"
Bobby Minio replied to Mr.Sensation's topic in OCW The Magazine
You know, the more I listen to the banter, and the characters that come out on the DESK, I gotta say, this is the makings of a hilarious commentary team. Brennan as the reserved IRL superstar, Dan's shooting heel, and Kent's ability to drive the convo and the topics is a three man commentary team just waiting to change the face of OCW. -
The NEW DESK Episode 2 "The Obsidian Neaderthal"

HELLO hello hello -
That tag match was miserable because the servers were absolutely brutal. There was a point where I hover and lift the guy up for a suplex, that happened because I hit B once to go for a pin attempt when the guy was still on the mat. Somehow, from hitting B, I grappled him 7 seconds later and then did a grapple move that I never hit the inputs for. I would have rather have been treated as a noshow for a match than have that represent Luke or I. Matches against KD are bad enough without the unplayable lag. Just trying to tag or get on the apron was a fucking mini-game. Truthfully, if the 2k servers don't get significantly better in a hurry I'll probably just retire and stick around as an OCW fan, because it's not at all enjoyable trying to battle through that shit.

A full C4 roster?

I'm down Trance. Anyone else looking to get a match in? Maybe we can overbook this bitch!

I found out Raze is on a bit of a break. Kent and I were gonna do something together but I'm down to throw some kind of match together if someone else is looking to get a match in. Only problem is I won't be on until about 9:30pm to 10:00pm EST due to my schedule, at least until Saturday morning but I'd like to get something done before that. Also, I'd love to work another tag with Luke but I think he already has a match on the card and it's in the books already, but I could be wrong.

Throw Cody in the Raze / Minio match for the punishment.

I didn't realize how truly egregious that hot tag was until I watched the reply. Mugen, Hollywood, sorry bout that guys! We're learning on the fly and bloopers like that are examples of such, but I'm glad I probably blew that match by leaving him on the ropes after my finisher, cause like KD said, that hot tag could have really affected the outcome there.

You putting our match over while recording it was awesome, it was a huge confidence booster. I always get self conscious when I'm controlling a match because I still feel pretty weak on the sticks (see: my match with KD) so when I'm dominating I feel like people are just letting me get my shit in, so I start laying off and end up losing (see: my match with Lucky), doh! I'm really impressed with Luke's look. His first guy was something he threw together for fun and people were vocal with him about how they felt about it, and I think he absolutely killed it on the remake. Both Luke and I are really good remakes of our old SNES FirePro and N64 No Mercy CAWs. I try to keep my look simple and just let my mic do the talking for me, so I do like the general outline of my attire but I definitely need some logo help from some of the skilled guys here. Honestly, I'd be curious to see people's reimaging of my look because, everyone here has INCREDIBLE attire. Guys like Frost and Cody, their stuff almost looks like it was professionally designed by the 2K team, so I'd love to get that skilled treatment eventually. I am looking forward to working Minio vs. Matsuda, I think even as a small thing for a single PPV it has a lot of potential and like Pugh said, that could be a huge opportunity for me to establish Minio for the foreseeable future. I really enjoy playing against Brennan, he's got a great playstyle that makes for great looking matches. I'm calling for upset of the year but I get the feeling Matsuda will have something to say about that, but that quick interaction between Minio and Matsuda after the match got me psyched. I'm really disappointed by that Main Event outcome, I thought we were entering the era of Pato but Pugh's heel reign continues! I really want Raze's gimmick to be that his gimmick drastically changes every few weeks. The man of 1000 gimmicks. Money. I'm psyched for the Golden Buffalo and I don't even have the context to know why I'm psyched!

The scene opened on a non-descript yet all to familiar white bricked hallway in the backstage area in Pittsburgh. The sound of the crowd in the muffled distance of the halls could tell you that this was filmed during the filming of Riot. The halls were lined on either side with large audio/video equipment cases and bins, which steadied the balance of the battered man who stumbled into frame. It was Bobby Minio, still heaving for breath and a clear head, the result of being on the ugly end of a very one sided beat down in the ring moments prior. Bobby Minio: “Holy… holy shit…” He seemed confused, punch drunk, and in a fair degree of pain. Minio: “I… I may have… over stepped…” Minio was leaning down against an equipment bin, his head facing down and his breath, and color, finally rendezvousing inside of his body. Off Camera Voice: “Aww cmon, what was that?” A pained grimace played across Minio’s lips, before washing into a smile for an old friend. Minio pushed himself through the soreness that covered the entire length of his body and straightened up his back to face “Reckless Kid” Luke Fuentes. Minio: “Luke… not now.” Reckless Kid: “Not now? When would you prefer we talk about what just happened to you out there? After Sunday?” Minio: “Luke…” Reckless Kid: “Alright look, I’m gonna help ya out buddy. How about we go find K’Dangelo and ask for his permission to go look for your balls around the third or fourth row?” Minio: “I deserve that.” Reckless Kid: “You know you do! Cmon Bobby you gotta put up a fight out there!” Minio: “You’re gonna get yours soon, Luke. If it’s not from me on Sunday-” Luke leaned forward with a grin to interupt. Reckless Kid: “If? Listen to you! ‘IF’!? I thought you ‘were sooo ready’! I thought you believed in yourself! How are we supposed to make a run in the Tag Team Championship tournament if you don’t even think you can put up a fight anymore? CMON.” Minio: “I know I can put up a fight. I’m… I’m going to be alright. That was just a big wake up call. We got a lot of work to do.” Reckless Kid: “Yeah, ‘we’ gotta work on getting ‘you’ back into fighting shape. We’ll start at Certified Greatness.” This challenge seemed to breath fresh air into Minio’s lungs. He took a breath, his back straightened more and he extended a hand and a smile to Luke, which Luke returned quickly. Minio: “So we’ll get this out of the way at Certified Greatness, and then we begin the ‘Reckless Revolution’. There was some special emphasis on the last few words, which brought a lift to Luke’s brow. Reckless Kid: “‘Reckless Revolution’?” Minio: “Reckless Revolution.” Reckless Kid: “What is that?” Minio: “Every great tag team needs a great name.” Reckless Kid: “It’s always the revolution with you. We’ll talk later. Keep your head up, cmon!” Luke slapped Minio’s back hard, with intent, which brought back the reality of K’Dangelo’s merciless handling of Minio a few minutes before hand. Minio winced as Luke chuckled and walked away off frame. Minio leaned his back against the equipment bin, thinking for a moment about the match at hand at Certified Greatness. He nodded to himself before pushing off of the bin and following off screen in Luke’s direction.

It's all good KD, gave me some good fodder for the character for some RPs. One would have been up last night but I fat fingered my keyboard and lost it when it was about 75% complete. I just immediately stood up and walked away from my computer when that happened.

Luke wrote this, I just added my bits and posted it!

The scene opens up in the OCW gym. As the cameraman walks across the gym he spots a couple of guys with sweat suits on and with hoodies up over their heads. One of them seems to be doing crunches and sit ups, as the other is doing his reps on the bench. Guy 1: "I'll tell you cmon, this Tigerman guy is dodging me like crazy. I don"t know if he's scared that he's going to lose or just plain frighted that he's going to get his a** kicked. Cause when he finally comes around and I get my hands on him. He then will realize why its me the people chose to lead them to the top!" The second guy just then stops doing his sits up and looks over to the guy who had been speaking. Guy 2: "Yeah that or maybe he just doesn't care. You might think you're big shot, but to him. You're a nobody, my friend. No offense!" The second guy laughs as he lays back down to do his sit ups, before glancing over towards the other man and speaking again. Guy 2: "As far as I'm concerned, I don't care if my opponent acknowledges me or not. I'm here for me, myself, and the Revolution." Guy 1: "And that's why the people don't really care for you Bobby." The camera zooms in on Bobby Minio as he gets up from his sit ups and works his way over to the jump ropes, laughing at the comment from his friend. Bobby Minio: "Think what you want, RK, but it was me who rose to the top back in the SFW days, not you bud. Don't forget how that all worked out." Reckless Kid sits up from his last rep on the bench press. He stands up, only to lay back down in a prone position to start doing pushups. Reckless Kid: "Ah shut your trap cmon. That was years ago, who cares. All I know is that you better be ready, don't forget who you go up against come Certified Greatness, buddy." Bobby Minio still jumping responds back to Reckless as he starts doing crisscross jumps with the rope while speeding up his pace. Bobby Minio: "Ah... Good ol' Reckless, I missed ya buddy. Glad we're doing this again. When we get to Certified Greatness, I'll be ready. Don't you worry. You just get your mind focused on Tigerman. He's no push over. I swear he was holding himself back a few weeks ago." Reckless Kid: "Exactly my friend. No easy win for you cmon. The guy fears me so much he won't even talk to the media. Now are you ready to get some sparring in before I head out of here?" Bobby Minio: "Lets do it." Reckless Kid and Minio head towards the ring set up across the ring as the camera pans away and fades out.
