Johnny Phoenix RP: So lost. Ok you've beaten Jookie but have you been in OCW for years? Or is this RP suposed to be for a different CaW. Regardless there is less Hardy in this RP. Good.

 

I like the comment of Gasoline because it's true but it's a good comparison how something can be dangerious in many different ways.

 

This RP was a lot better than the earlier one.

It was a improvement yes but your earlier RP affect the score here and the comment " all of his life" was kinda "REALLY"? I'm sure the other RP's will make more sense and get better closer to Lution as all RP's and charecter developments will be.

 

 

Aries vs Dupree: Uh oh, it's never good when the boss comes out before your match. Sensation makes his way down to the announcers getting ready for toniights main event.

Starting out Dupreer makes Aries look stupid by ssimply backing away from him as Aries whiffs on a strike and in turn Dupree does the exact thing that Aries wanted to do to him from the get go. Embaresing

 

Tibbs trying to press the champ by being the first to try a pin attempt, nice psycalogical strategy. Along with a short time between which seems Dupree is in controll goes for a second pin attempt.

 

Every time I think Aries is going to get back in controll Tiberius keeps reversing. After the Knee to the back Aries kicks it up some more with some strikes and a hard irish whip sends Tibbs walking backwards to be planted face down on the canvas.

 

Hurt now Aries has a slight gain damage wise but that shortly ends and now it's literally anyones ball game & I could see this going eather way.

 

Oh uh someone just cought some dragonflies *Back stabber* idk what you call it Tibbs.

Aries fights back and Now gameplay wise both of these guys have finishers stored. Aries getting knocked to the outside Tibbs awaits and strategy wise picks his spot of the match with a apron springboard ddt, the dragon flies....

 

Aries must be pissed, he's resorting to headbunting people in the face. Tibbs says forget that nonsense and whips Aries into the stairs. I am liking the outside fighting it takes confidents to stay out there and know that you'll still be controll or able to stay even with your opponent. I could give another OCW moment of history here but I'll save that for my next review.

 

1st finisher of the match goes to Tibs and after a grueling battle so far Aries shows why he is the champion by kicking out on his first try.

 

Aries making a comeback hits a super kick on Tibs for Aries's first finisher of the match and Tibbs kick's out showing his resilancy. They go for a bit longer before Aries hits the GTS but TIBBS KICKS out. I thoought it was over right here.

 

The Ref gets sanwiched in the Turnbuckle and Aries gets hit again with the backstabber.

OUT comes Lucas, lets see if this is any normal assult or trickory..

 

Ok this is my criticism. I think you could have used universe mode here just so that way Aries would still be in the ring..... Hmmmm seems i eat my words here. Very nicely done, a good mix of video replay camer angels and universe mode combined. It would be nice to know if this happened for real and they storylined around it but hey why take out the magic.

 

Congrats to our new OCW Champion. in which i knew but didnt know how it happened. Tibbs you cheeky bastard.

After match RP Aries: Calling Nate a bitch basically and a bitch. Aries turns butt hurt here and does a good job at the part.

 

Nate decides to man up and get in the ring. OK NATE IS NOT A TAUNT CUT THROAT KIND OF GUY.

 

The two exchange and Jay tries to get in the middle of it, poking Nate in the eye his son inlaw and brushes it off , Aries tries to go after a wounded animal and Jay tries to stop Aries and in turn gets speared indaliberately for his efforts.

 

That makes Aries's night...kinda

Bad represntation on the taunt because old timers know better on charecteristics and I'm surprised Jay didnt have that taunt changed. I have a good idea of what's going on without really reading into this.

 

 

 

Grand final = barf. Sry Jay but I would have liked this better if you where not envolved. It would be great to see Nate compete FOR REAL. It's already done. I exspect a sham over fist ordeal for this match rigged from top to bottom. It just wasn't needed overall. It really wasn't unless nate isn't nate. Even if that being the case it still wouldnt need to have sensation envolved. 1 it's Nate, 2- Aries has no problem putting on good matches.

It has nothing to do with Mayhem. really it doesnt. I just find potential in the match itself without having sensation directly envolved in the match. Now, before or after having some diabolical scheme, sure i can see it justified.

 

 

anyhow as stated, it's a review not for the weak at heart.

Video Hype RP Parker/Leon: I heard the music and my laptop is lagging for some reason, So i went ahead and DLed this one.

 

Now that I DLed this Hype vid Like I said I normally dont do, I am expecting this to be killer with the music track. Granted that you two have been threw alot this video was to long for my liking. Alot of history clips but I think you could have done a "BEST OF" clips and it would have paid off better.

Mayhem that review was incredible... great read all the way through... and the input was much welcomed... we need more people talking about what they liked and didn't like about what they see on the shows...

 

and if I wasn't mistaken Mayhem had 99 dur, 99 chrisma and 90 power of some shit like that being a super heavy... ridiculously overpowered and completely unjustifiable... it doesn't matter that you made a tourney of dark matches with regular stats and won... it's the fact that you used an overpowered Mayhem while you had the strap... pretty much overshadows how dominating you were with it.

 

Steve... once you hit that one button to win the match with a sub move without any chance for the other guy to escape it... especially in an era where you can kick out of any finisher pin attempt... your playing with an advantage, so it's either people aren't allowed to kick out of finishers or everyone gets sub-finishers... we decided to let people use auto-win sub-finishers to win matches... which basically throws FPR out the window... Trevor manned up and did the right thing... that's why I'll forever respect him and his pride in his ability on the sticks... ALOT of other people are taking the low road... and I can live with it cause I love this place... but don't ever expect me to give you the stripes I give Leon, Parker, Trevor, Mayhem, Nate, or Guybrush on the sticks if you win matches with one button auto-wins... it's just not how the greats did it!!!

 

That's where the ambition era is a step behind... whooping someones ass the right way is a work of art... shit getting real and you hitting Y for an auto-win is casual gaming... but slowly you guys are getting it right... I have to say that

That's another silly comment.

 

Everyone from the "Ambition Era" cares about how their shit looks, and they work hard to make every single match a classic. Kent doesn't slap you in the Walls until he's beaten the fuck out of you, per the rules of OCW. Same for Suda, or Dims, they only use their sub finisher after they've beaten the shit out of you... if you want to kick out of their first fin, thats your call.

 

Saying they're a "Step behind" is insanity, especially when you consider how certain "Veterans" act in matches. Fact is, these guys are all solid at the game, if they've beaten you down, and you want to kick out of their finisher X amount of times, then you have to be prepared for them to end a match with a sub. That applies to everyone, not just the Ambition guys. As you're so fond of reminding us, its all about the W. If you can't beat some cunt with a pin, then you're well within your rights to sub them... You have to adapt to the game at the end of the day

the Ambition era is technically 3 guys... who all have sub-finishers by coincidence... I understand it's harder to win with a pin nowadays... but cowering to the auto-win sub-finisher isn't the answer... When KD uses his sub-finisher he's a cheeser... but it's ok for other guys to do it??? how stupid is that logic.

 

I'm done with this after here... because it's basically a difference in opinion, but there is a clear advantage for guys that use the sub-finisher over guys that don't... and if that's what you guys roll with that's fine... I just think it takes away from what makes guys Legendary around here.

If you hit your sig and wake up taunt on me, I know that if you lock on that sub the match is over. That advantage that you would have over me is where I find the issue. In years prior double red + finisher was match over. So it didn't matter if you had a sub-finisher or not.

I understand what your saying, and I get it.

 

But it's not an advantage, because you can' use Steal A Finisher, been in the game for years.

 

It's not against the rules to strap them in their own sub finisher for the win.

 

Some people aren't smart enough to think outside the box.
