This year you killed the streak which now means Lution is going to suck. You have ruined so many careers including LOTUS and made our hero go off his marbles. You also somehow managed to turn our top face heel and make his dragonflies turn on him lol. The Scumbag Parker era must end! Matsuda Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Debate with the Devil: CHILL FAKTOR Edition! Against my better judgment, I'm at it again with another episode of Debate with the Devil! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good fight. I've got my PAMYPAMYREVOLUTION blaring on my new headphones and I'm ready to go. Lets get this show on the road, shall we? Bonus Round: Is there a reason why Chill Faktor is spelled wrong? Is it related to something sweet from back in the GOLDEN YEARS of TWO-THOUSAND-AND-SEVEN or is it just to be edgy like HOTWHEELZ? Not up for debate… just a legitimate question. We start the show off with Dupree a little bit out of his element, sure we're back to Dupree TV, but his mannerisms and words seem a little… uncomfortable. Ignoring the obvious swerve at the end, we saw a different side of Dupree. A little more violent, a lot more about himself, and a lot less concern for the safety of others. Question: Did you see the heel turn coming? We all know Jay likes to "slow burn" everything, but sometimes the intentions become obvious a little too soon. Would you have done it differently? How would you have booked the ultimate face turning into a bad guy? Can OCW afford to lose it's greatest face? My thoughts: Although I like how this storyline is turning up, I have a feeling that I would have liked it if it was more sudden. If it was at a show like the 8 Year Anniversary to close the show, out of nowhere, and with a good month of no content to left the deed set in. We see Trance trying to establish his new persona for the year against poor Spoon (who can't get a break since our last debate). We also see Smythe no show… so that was a thing. Question: Got a couple for this one--Trance is obviously biting heavily on Steen for this new personality, down to the theme song. How do you feel about it and where do you think the Trance character goes from here? How do you feel about gimmick infringement? Question: Obligatory "Where does Mania go from here?" question. WHat should his short and long term goals be for this year? Question: With an extra week to get a match done, no Smythe. What do you think about it? Are you surprised? My thoughts: I honestly have never had a problem with tribute characters, I actually think its a great way to start off a character, and over time they begin to metamorphosis into something different My thoughts: Spoon needs a training montage! Cody Storm Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Question 1 (Dupree): I'm terrible at booking things like this,I do think that it became a little obvious, but that doesn't necessarily always make it bad. About a month ago I was more excited for a heel Dupree than I am now though, so I do agree it should have been a little more explosive, a little more rash and sudden, like the armbar was. Question 2 (Trance/Steen): I don't watch ROH a whole lot, so I know who Steen is, I know that the Package Piledriver is his move, and I know that he had a breakdown like this in the past few years. Outside of that, I know almost nothing about Steen and so anything Trance does is fresh to me pretty much xD. He obviously goes to jail from here, but when he returns I don't see why he shouldn't be allowed to step up to the plate more often, unless his schtick is stale for people who know Steen. Question 3 (Spoonman): I feel bad for Spoon, I wasn't around for his hayday, but the man has to be a legend for a reason. Frankly you just can't take a ton of time off of the game and come back on fire like you used to be, it doesn't work that way (unless you're me). I think he just needs to keep wrestling and he'll eventually find his way again. He started a comeback in that Trance match, and should have beaten Hazard, so I think he's already made bounds of progress since facing me. Question 4 (Smythe): I kind of forgot he was booked to begin with. But I like the Smythe character, once I remembered I was a little sad that he no showed it. I hope he's not planning on making this a normal thing. 2

I could have thrown some RP's together but with Nothing really going on with Smythe at the moment I decided to sit this one out... was an excellent PPV... lots of content and decent matches!!!
