I understand this but have to add that finishers should only be used when a dude is red anyway and 9 times outta 10 anyone with a Sub Finisher would make sure the part of the body needed would already be red before applying the move, red is dead.

 

This is in the case of people who want to use it for "Dramatic effect" though. For instance, say if you had a head submission, but you've only injured the body to red, then you having them in that "DRAMATIC" hold is doing sustained + modifier damage to their head, which is giving you an advantage that somebody doing an impact head move doesn't have. Regardless of "Oh they'll be hurt anyway", it still gives you an advantage, thereby softening your opponent up for an easier submission later.

The point is it does sustained modifed damage - more damage than a straight impact finish, plus it builds up further sigs, so it causes an issue with balancing. IF they were to come back - the "Crawl" thing would be disabled entirely during a finisher for fairness sake. Too much potential to "accidentally" nudge the stick (See Dane Xavier "My controller was dead" for proof people can't be trusted.)

What then? We'd have to come up for a rule for that too.

It is not Negative Nancy ,don't worry bout the what if and go with Pugh's suggestion .There aren't many guys who need subs anyway .

If it's the 3rd finisher then it's the same as the 3rd impact finisher. You have to die. No crawling, no mashing to avoid tapping. Just put the controller down and die.

 

If they use the sub finisher as the 3rd finisher on an uninjured body part and you don't tap even if you put the controller down then that's their fault and you carry on the match.

 

That's how I'd deal with those situations.

Aight glad this got some discussion . I agree with everything Pugh except on the 3rd finisher and you want to make them tap with your sub finisher and your tap A game is trash or you been working on the body and you have a head finisher shame on you .That's the break for having a sub finisher and you should used 3 impact finishers .BRING BACK THE BLACKRACK !
