Justin Raze Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 As far as the match goes between me and Drago the biggest issue I had with the match(other than the spamming) was that at the end of every lockup no matter if I repeatedly tapped A or didn't at all, it never gave me the prompt for the reversal. So, since Drago would always win the outcome and the game never prompted me, he was pretty much guaranteed a successful grapple no matter what. I really hope 2K gets their shit together for 2K15 and delivers a game that isn't broken because I don't like getting my ass kicked because a game doesn't work. Oh, and him hitting his finisher before I was even up, that was another issue. I didn't say anything during our RIOT match but have commented on it during DMs with him. He told me that he was waiting long enough when I mentioned he should wait a bit longer before he hits his finisher, which obviously he's not.
Drago Cesar Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I realized I kinda facked up with my Riot match. I apologize for the spamming and the finisher thing. I'll get it right next time, I promise. Also Raze, idk what to say about the tieup issue, can't really do much about it. 2 "Roll 20 for initiative, you cuck" - Mr. Sensation "I don't have a brain" - Tiberius Dupree "4 os a gppd cp,[ro,ose" - Mr. Sensation
Pugh Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 If he can hit a finisher on you during the wakeup taunt then you're able to reverse it. If you know he's coming at you earlier just reverse earlier. My two cents. No.

If you know he's coming at you earlier just reverse earlier. My two cents. Nope..there's is a split second at the beginning of a wakeup taunt where there is no option to reverse , as it's still mid animation, not just Drago, but any wake up taunt, and he is usually borderline when he hits his. It's the same with pick-up sigs, you can pretty much pick someone up and hit the sig mid standing animation and there's nothing you can do about it. But he has taken on board the advice given, which is a good thing, as people have been here for nearly 9 years and still don't take anything onboard!!! http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/5774/sig2uq.jpg 2 x Hardcore Champion (Longest defending OCW champ,19 defences) 1 x NA Champion 1 x Pride Champion 1 x TV Champion 2 x OCW World Heavyweight Champion F.I Winner 2012 MOTN vs Leonheart @ Wrestlution 7 'Don't worry about no one else, hows my hair look' - Tiberius Dupree 'Wipe you ass and go to bed' - Sensation to B17
Tobin Frost Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I don't think the tap A this is an issue the free move is the reward for winning that. Seems to be based on weight, gapple power, and damage. Just gotta time yourself better. http://www.ocwfed.net/recapshow/special/OCW%20Awards%202013/BESTMOVESET.png http://www.ocwfed.net/recapshow/special/OCW%20Awards%202013/rookieoftheyear.png
Bobby Minio Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Isn't an early finisher off of a wakeup taunt unreversable like when you get caught taunting? http://ocwfed.tv/recapppv/Awards%202k18/UpdateOTY18.png
Wheeler Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 This should be retitled the FPR Edition of Riot. At any rate I finally have some free time so I'll watch and give my two cents today.

Just gotta time yourself better. It is because I had a similar issue like this with Cody when I fought him a while back. I would tap A really fast and not win the lockup and not be given the prompt to reverse. However, when I would stop tapping A very early in the lockup and he tried to do a grapple once he won the outcome, I would still be prompted with the option to reverse. When I had the match with Drago and tried both of these scenarios in the match, the outcome was the same: Not being prompted for reversing in neither of the scenarios. So you maybe right Tobin, it may have to do with stats or weight class but me and Drago had the same Grapple Power stat so I don't think it was that.

Cody is the fastest tapper I've played against and Drago beat Cody. Could be worse. You could be a light weight. 1

Also Raze, idk what to say about the tieup issue, can't really do much about it. It's all good about the tie up Drago. I don't know what the issue is when it comes to that but it's all good. As far as the match goes it's good to see that you're going to work on it to address the issue. I would suggest just watching some matches and see how many times people actually do strikes from tie ups and use that as a example to follow. Also, if you want help working on it I would be glad to help.
