All I'm going to say is that people are acting like Sean won , and we legit screwed him by changing the ending...I kind of felt a little bad at first, even sent Sean a pm when I heard he'd taken it personally, but you know what, get to fuck, re-watch the video,. when it cuts, I believe the ref's hand was just about to count the 3 after Sean just ate his own finisher.

 

So fuck Sean and Cody , If anyone, Pugh got screwed.

There is no reason you couldn't have hopped the barricade in a No Hold's Barred Match and give Pugh a siren, therefore Sean doesn't take a loss and still has a viable Title Match a head. Technically Sean had his title match and just lost, who is gonna give him a rematch? He's supposed to be a good for nothing heel?

 

But nope you & Dan decided to use the image of The Monster afte they specifically told you not too. You had zero communication with Sean or Cody, yet used both their caws to go over. You guys literally had weeks to get this all ironed out.

You obviously didn't watch the video Schbuddy , Sean never received a siren , and Sean never took the loss.

 

I was never told not to use the image of Monster, I was told 'don't use Cody's caw' ..there's a HUGE difference there , so again, facts.

 

I seem to be taking all the flak for Pugh's planning, which is fine, as it's water off my back , much like in real wrassling, they usually wait til the next show to find out where its headed, but not OCW..no , no , no..you'd all much rather jump the salty canoe and fight each others argument. so yeah, fuck Sean and Cody, and fuck OCW.

Again, I don't think the storyline itself was inherently bad. The two problems that I have with it are:

 

1. Sean wanted to be THE HEEL. He's been building himself up as a bad guy and that's how he would like to be portrayed. Maybe he'll end up embracing a tweener role. I'm not sure, but that's not the relevant point. It should have been his decision to make and you effectively took it away from him.

 

2. As far as The Monster's involvement, or technical lack-thereof, is concerned: what I said when I was pitched the idea by Sean was, "I don't hate the storyline in general, but I don't want my character being utilized like that." If what came back to you was "Cody said don't use his CAW" then clearly the message wasn't translated very well. But the reason you should still catch heat for it (though Pugh should too) is because as the person putting it together it is (or at least I thought it was) your responsibility to communicate with the people who's character's/likenesses you want to use.

 

And I think you could even argue against me by saying Parker wouldn't ask The Monster if he could put on a mask and disguise himself as The Monster to get close to the match, that'd be stupid. And storyline wise that's a perfectly good point. But from a production standpoint, we were pitched an idea, we vetoed it, and you two more or less did it anyway. And if you don't see that as a problem, or you don't care that it is a problem, then you're counterproductive and toxic to any sort of teamwork the angle had going for it, and potentially to OCW on a larger scale.

a) I've already apologised to Sean and Cody. Mistakes were made in the communication and whole planning of it, and I apologised to both of them because I fucked up. That's fair enough, I did that

 

b) Sean knew about Parker cashing in from the jump. I pitched the idea, and I said "Parker will be champion" and Sean was down with it, so if you're thinking Sean was legit screwed, that's just not the case. The match happened, and where we cut it, I released the pin as I didn't know if Sean could kick out or not, so it was safer to do that.

 

c) From a purely kayfabe standpoint, the idea was to have Sean lulled into a false sense of security by Parker, which then allowed Parker to get into the match unchecked, and ultimately do what he did.

 

Initially, I thought we'd have one PPV, then Lution - which turned out not to be the case. The initial plan was to have a legit 3 way at the next PPV, then whoever wins wins. What happened was, there are 2 PPVs between now and Lution, which meant we needed ANOTHER match. Now, if Parker came in and pinned me, I would want a rematch, therefore logically Pugh vs Parker is where you go. I was adamant that Sean wouldn't take a pin, so as to keep him strong, then ultimately whatever Parker does (be it face or heel) Sean hasn't lost anything by taking a pin and killing his momentum. If Pugh vs Parker happened THEN Sean would have been screwed. Lets not forget, Kayfabe wise, Sean had no right to this match - Pugh gave it to him because he was a fighting champion.

 

If you watch Riot this week (Spoiler alert), Sean will do something that forces a match with Parker at the next PPV.

 

Ultimately, here are your facts - we got lumbered with the FI case, so we tried to be creative with it. For better or worst, everyone was in on the plan to have Parker leave The Clash as the champion. That still hasn't changed. I've apologised to Cody and Sean, because it's my fuck up and its on me.

 

As for me handing the title to Steve when he "hasn't earned it", if we think back to 2013 when Parker was eating people's lunches, can we remember the reason why he stopped? It sure as shit wasn't because he lost a random match - it was because he left for surgery, so he basically had to be screwed out of the title. So the "doesn't deserve it" argument doesn't hold ANY water whatsoever.

 

Sean is getting his rematch, so there's no big conspiracy. If he's good enough to be Champion, he will be Champion.
