Just a handful of post ago you said it didn't matter what stats were, now it's matches drag on too long and it's disrespectful to the current roster. A one point OVR boost makes no difference. 1 extra reversal makes 25% difference. I didn't read the whole thing the first time, but the reversal thing is a huge advantage in a game where controlling reversals is your primary concern. Jay's reasoning was 'well all champs had it' which just isn't correct. We agreed to 4 for fairness, as it sits within the regular ocw stat caps. It's true champs should have an advantage, but they're already allowed comeback and resil. If they can't win with those tools, then they deserve the loss No.

With the intent of it being used as a title constantly changing hands we figured that it would only cause issues if the belt had a stat change attributed to it. Whether or not that sentiment was adequately communicated in the letter of the Handbook isn't within my wheelhouse; but what I can tell you is that staff's original intent was that it NOT carry a stat bonus. Not til Tre got it!!!!!!!!

Maybe let the Legends have Comeback ability. Dennis Black Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Incoming newb opinion. I think Chanpions and legends being at 5 reversals is a good idea. It prevents Funaki from beating Triple H. It shouldn't be even, there needs to be an advantage. Beating a Legend and Champion are supposed to be big accomplishments because they should be difficult to do. Think of it like...a boss fight in a video game. When those legends are beat and the titles change hands, you'll know the person who did it is deserving. 4
The Monster Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I've probably said this a few times too many recently, but I still have a hard time understanding why we would give champions large advantages. They should have the title because they are good enough to keep it. They should be good enough to win on a level playing field and if you can't, you shouldn't be the champion. I agree 100% with Pugh in that giving people a stat point or two isn't a huge thing, and resiliency is a nice perk, but giving someone an extra reversal slot (because it's obviously not just one extra reversal in an entire match) is kind of game changing. If you need that much help to secure the victory, you shouldn't be victorious. 3

But thats just my input. Yeah that's pretty much what I was going to say apart from resiliency, fuck that. I would personally take fired up away as it doesn't make matches shorter anyway and just give that to the champs as a perk. Resiliency is a crock of shit, kicking out is easy enough as it is and a good champion can actually reverse the finisher without the need of that shitty perk. Just my opinion.
