From my understanding of it it's not a proper belt?

 

You can call it a joke that I'm in it if you want, on a winning streak and have been putting in content but if anything I'm probably in it so the match takes place. Or to stop B-17 winning.

I hate the term "belt" it's a Championship, regardless if there's a strap of leather with trinkets or not. Don't use "championship" call it something else entirely. We also already have a Future Investment with pretty much the same clause, I believe Djesus was the winner.

 

We also just had the KOCW which gave a reserved title match. We ALSO have Tre competing for pretty much the same exact opportunity on Riot 450 for the NA. Then there's the S-Cup which I'm sure will open up plenty opportunities for the winners.

 

It's just asinine from a booking perspective IMO.

I agree with everything you've said, it doesn't make sense to call it a championship when it's more of a poker chip.

 

The assumption for this weeks bookings though is probably so theres matches submitted and probably affected by people that have contacted Aries asking not to get booked, I don't know about that though, you'd need to ask him yourself.

The only important thing to take from this card is....

There's a belt, that's becoming a precursor to challenge for the Television title. People are fighting for the right challenge for the tv title. I mean some are still gifted title shots...but we are making progress as far as setting some standards around here. Six months ago, this wouldn't be a thing. Six months ago, only two people...and two characters actually cared about the tv title and making it matter. I still remember podcasts about hearing how it was beneath the hardcore title and another belt that gets defended once a year. Hell I even hoots say it means so little that it just be merged with the OCW title.

 

 

Fast forward half a year...people care. It means something. OCW didn't do that. A legend didn't do that. A veteran didn't do that. Booking didn't do that. The King and I did.

 

So yes...I'm excited to see this. But never forget, the opportunity on momentum wouldn't be a thing if we didn't suffer through ridicule and doubt. We are the gift that keeps on giving...
