Pugh Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 I always go with a move instead of a strike after the reversal animation is done. Which is 50/50 most days when you know the thirst is coming when you have zero reversals. But the point is that you've lost the advantage so you shouldn't technically do anything except eat their next move No.
Austin Lee Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 But the point is that you've lost the advantage so you shouldn't technically do anything except eat their next move Depending on who you play most the time you do. It's one of those things I judge by if I am at zero reversals and he has 1 I'm going to try and hit a move. But if he uses his last one then I just eat it. I look at it as he was better at not wasting his reversals then me so I have this beating coming.
Nate Ortiz Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 But the point is that you've lost the advantage so you shouldn't technically do anything except eat their next move This right here is the point. You get reversed you get punished. We as players have to be better than abusing shitting game mechanics. You shouldn’t need to burn 2 reversals in a row at any point. Striking, grabbing, or springboarding are all shitty ways IMO. It’s my job to out reverse or mess up their timing to get moves off. But it sucks when you do that and a guy gets the advantage not because they reversed you but the move is faster than your animation. 4 May 29 2005 - Present Took Dupree's Summer
Blackbeard Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 This is the like issue we used to have with Dennis, example - he misses a springboard, so he'd be wide open to an attack, but he'd spam a quick strike to regain the offensive advantage. We dm'd a TON to get that bad habit out of him :p But I still see it going on in matches today and it's a shitty shitty way to play. 1

Kassidy Hayes Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 i don't ever know when its okay to end a gimmick match such as a ladder, so we went by a specific set of rules we were familiar with: Finisher, gotta break any table set up, someone has to hit purple. We talked about it b4 the match and I didn't feel it would be right to say hey mugen, fuck that, ending it now. so yes it could have ended on dark red, and going forward that will be my house rule for gimmick matches that don't end in a pinfall. We were also having a blast in the match so it didn't feel long, when i stopped the recording and saw 24mins i was kinda surprised. I did do more false attempts at the mini game in my ladder match with Tibby and that was probably the one thing missing from this. softening up the briefcase, and had i done that, probably would have ended on the OMG big boot. 2
Dennis Black Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Happened to Boyd too, been happening since 2016 and needs to stop. These bad ethics need to stop in general. Doing a springboard the moment you're outta reversals, leaving the ring the moment you're outta reversals, doing 50 hot tags a match, moonwalking, etc. these are things that weren't around a few seasons ago. Now it's damn near every other match. And that's why this ppv was "MEH" to me from a match perspective. That sucks because I know a lot of effort and time went into it from all angles (Looking at you Jay!). Did not like Ding's entrance, should've dressed as a famous Jap we all know and hate like Matsuda or Spooder or at least Mugen who came out later and did the same entrance but better. Speaking as such, My favorite match hands down was Kass v Mugen, they went outta their way to make sure the match was as brutal and entertaining as possible. Sure it was a bit long, but no longer than some standard matches. There were too many matches when you include PRIME and it made it seem like a Participation Per View instead of a real one, the fact that Pugh vs. H20 made the main card over people who actually feuded the last few weeks is another "meh". I think we should only have PRIME shoes for our big ppvs like Lution or Cide. The written content was great and hefty, it felt like everyone and they mama had something to say or a scene to create. That's where I think this ppv shined the most. Even if this shoe wasn't to my liking this was a content packed event with a lot of good stories and characters progressing. All in all excellent way to bring in the new year. O.o what did I do to Boyd that costed him the match? I didn’t hit him or do a runaway springboard after he reversed. I did a running springboard after ‘I’ reversed him.
Dennis Black Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Upon further review, the only thing that happened to Boyd was unfortunate hate crime by a ref that dislikes gays. 1
Justin Jehst Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 As a rookie it's good to read this as the FPR in the guide doesn't cover all these ethics in full. As this is my first time doing competitive PvP in WWE games its good to be aware of these pet peeves so as to avoid them in future matches. My image don't load no mo so fuck it.

Well it can't cover ethics in full because it relies on everyone being an even keel fair guy. Ocw is too full of psychos who have different ethics in their brains, so it's just a majority "don't be a dick" rather than "this is the only way to play No.
