Here's my take on the Hardcore match. IT'S A HARDCORE MATCH! It's supposed to be fucking hardcore. When I watch a hardcore match I don't want to see a few weapon shots here and there. I want blood, sweat, snot, teeth, and any other type of bodily fluid flying all over the place.

Hardcore matches are that... Hardcore... Stevens has a advantage over other wrestlers... cause he can grapple and pretty much abuse other people with weapons...

 

I should outright refuse to write a Wonder Report because I had a match that didn`t get posted... no fault of any staff at all... but meh...

 

Bold starts out the show getting Owned... by two random guys that are apparently joining Cross in what looks to be a holy war against bold???? meaning technically this feud came from nowhere... Cross was like "I`m bacand I hate you now Bold" hooray... on the flip side tho... tho Bold is a dick... he has one of the most original Caw`s in OCW and I have no idea why he takes so much flak for it... as well as I think that Bold and Barbarian need more of a push in OCW... or maybe they need to be moved to CCW to make more impact...

 

Otomo/Hoppus was the Ex division at it`s best... Hoppus controls his rolling rather well... and Otomo has possibly the smartest style combination possible... he has the tech horror stat and submission meaning you work him to yellow then you try a strong grapple then he reverses it puts you on your ass lock in one of those sub moves and bam... back to no damage... kick ass... great match... on a side note tho.. CJ`s right hand must be the most oversold move in OCW... I mean look how dinky his arms are... that right hand comes so slow and lethargic... haha

 

Vinny is molesting Stacey backstage... pretty cool... he`s running his mouth even tho he Saw Bold get destroyed to start the match... and he doesn`t even try to help his partner for the evening... exactly who do you expect to tag with now dummy????

 

Staceys having a busy night apparently as she has back to back RP`s with Baxter and Strider... D-Jack and Gary A Young camos make Baxter`s RP awesome... Strider just had the normal I`m the greatest talk... which I also dig... even tho he hasn`t the balls to step into the ring with a true badass... SDW...

 

me and Strider aren`t friends so it`s hard to mark for him... but he moves like I do in the ring at times... which is a direct rip off of Majin`s in ring movements... counter, dash in, strikes, or quick grapple it just looks very stylish in action... Baxter CAW is kick ass... but his moveset is not... that legdrop strike thingy... I saw it about 12 times in the 4 minutes that I watched... Strider your finisher sucks... and yes I do watch matches for ethics and FPR breakage even tho I have no right to do so... so NYA (Fausto rip)

 

a Deathrow RP... with the KANG... progressive storyline RP... 2 points for that... nothing special... but informative... and yes I know what this is leading to...

 

Bossmans RP was kickass... highlight of the night IMO... and we get insight on Blood joining the alliance... and we get a Main Event matchup... Nate and Fausto against Majin and.. well... Nate... lol...

 

Poor Valmont... silly rabbit... your in a Handicap match... adn he thinks it`s OK... I`ve had my share of handicap matches... one with Cross (formerly Barbarian) actually... so I knew how this would turn out... and with that secret RP... if it isn`t Cruz then I have no idea...

 

WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG for KANG and CROSS to put away Valmont... just freaking ridiculous... absolutely insane...

 

I show the woman off for the first time... and then Rachel runs her slutty mouth and it all ends with Leon refusing to respect my Gangsta... but Leon just don`t get it... I`m the ALPHA-HEEL of OCW now... he`s gotta fall back in line and listen to the boss whether he wants to or not... Jerk!!!!

 

the hardcore match was brutal... Tylers??? check!!! hovers??? Check!!! running attack after running attack and roll after roll... flaming barbed wire bats... but wait... you can`t have flaiming barbed wire bats in Hardcore matches... oh that`s right... this was an ECW match... better known as Twisted Steel Warfare... better known as a Pay Per View Match... and this will go down as the ONLY MATCH IN OCW HISTORY WITHOUT A SINGLE STRONG GRAPPLE LANDED... I remember Steve running Marty out of OCW because of run horroring... Chino goes for back to back running grapple attempts while stevens was holding weapon many times during that match... funny thing is you can`t run grapple someone while they hold a weapon... but it was still ridiculous nonetheless... a clusterfuck if you will...

 

we follow this with Fausto giving Versus a sandwich while Nate... clearly the smartest of the REv Inc bunch... smells a nerdy rat...

 

the Main event of the evening features Fausto and Nate take on Majin.... and Nate... Nate and the DOrk come out as a D-X rip off... which was ghey... but cool at the same time... the match was what is was supposed to be... an example of great tag action... maximum aggressive FPR and another schooling on how it`s done by OCW`s motion master Majin... but of course it ends how Much of Majins title run has ended... Majin getting pinned yet again... infact since Bossman made Majin OCW champion... he`s been beaten by new found jobber ED Reed... then by Pee Stee in a hardcore match... and then the Clash by Nate and tonight again... by "Triple Nate"... really Bossman.. why is Majin your chosen champion again???

 

in conclusion Riot was OK... slightly better than Turmoil... but I have to say a few things...

 

the surprise matches rule... but their always the same guys... why can`t you put Nte in a handicap match with say... Cross and his new found Allies or something different for a surprise feel... your killing all the possible match-ups for the top story angle by throwing these Guys in the ring together week after week... Lution is looking like it`s gonna be a rematch of some sort this year for the OCW title... not cool...

Also putting all the ME guys in one storyline is kinda stale... if this continues after Lution it might be a case of too much for too long... there`s pretty much no window for new talents to make that step up... and NO i`m not talking about my self... big fish in little pond is suiting me just fine... just keep that sick bastard Kage on the shelf so I can keep pushing the APLHA-HEEL phrase and I`ll be fine as a scrub... lol..

I love the wonder report..but i must correct you! I landed a piledriver on that little running bitch! so thats 1 strong grapple :)

First of all can somebody call the damn WahmBulance! I am very disappointed in the lack of show comments and an increase of BS arguments. Same crap went down on Turmoil. Only if we could get this much talk about the shows it would be great. Justin you got your 3cents in, give it up, hardcore matches use weapons you don’t like the way the matches are don’t watch them. I have actually enjoyed the hardcore matches the past weeks, Parker Stevens has put on some great matches. Anyways since no one else reviews Riot anymore other than Double A and Smythe occasionally I've stepped up to give people kudos and feedback in hopes of receiving input in return. I was super busy last week, not sure how many people actually read these, but what the hell I’ll write one.

 

RIOT REVIEW

Bold is back! I much slimmer, new attired, old school Bold makes his way down to the ring. He’s got one of my favorite entrance songs in OCW, very fitting for his character. Bold cuts a promo with some great humor added in. Although it was pretty much all against me, I found it to be very funny. Back to back promos Bold reminds us he HATES Justin Time, funny stuff. Bold thinks up another “genius plan” of his, filing a restraining order against I, Josiah Cross. Bold has yet to learn his plans are utter crap, even after what went down with Mania (being thrown and jail, and receiving absolutely no recognition for any of that storyline).

 

Bold runs his mouth for long enough which leads to the debut of DEATH ROW. Bold receives an ass whooping. I could say “OH look out OCW Death Row is the next big thing! You all better not cross paths with us or else we will beat you up and make fools of you all.” However actions speak louder than words. But both A-Jax and Eddie Mace are both rookies, they are new, no alts, therefore, it will take some time for them to get into the grove of things. So be kind and help them to get comfortable here in OCW. Much appreciated.

 

 

Nice match between Otomo and CJ. Otomo finally gets a match after not having been booked for ages. Like the roll out of the way into a spring board body splash by CJ, nice move. Otomo started off the match with several submissions so it was only fitting to end with one. STFU for the win. Solid match.

 

Vincent arrives, looking for Kang. Gets told by a girl not to lose like he has been doing since his return. Vincent then says he is the greatest, yet losing all these matches has not changed his self-impression. If this promo isn’t a set up for anything later, pointless.

 

There is history between Baxter and Strider. The captain is out to prove his past victory over Strider was not a fluke, while Strider looks for revenge. Both guys attires were great. Pirates are cool, I’m liking Baxter’s character. Oh and I forgot to mention the anchor of his ship crushed D-Jacks car so that is a plus. God knows what was inside, so Baxter's crew did us all a favor I am sure by wrecking it.

 

The match was a close one indeed. Great ending to the fight. Both guys reverse finishers, a lot of back and forth attacks and reversals. Enjoyed the music on this match as well. Definitely a match of the night candidate.

 

Backstage, Death Row celebrates their debut. There is a knock at the door. Death Row thinks it might be Bold but it turns out to be Cross’ tag partner Kang. Cross assures Kang that Bold won’t be showing up and that the Tag math is now a Handicap match with Valmont.

 

Jay C (sounds and looks like Paul E) makes his way to the ring and cuts an awesome promo very nicely written. Jay proves that he is a man of his word; what he promised would happen at the PPV did. Am I the only one wondering if this imposter Nate is just some random dude or someone Jay recruited…or vice versa, imposter hunting Jay, real one in the Sensational Alliance. Jay C announces there will be a rematch next week between Bauer and Miss Paine. Also there is yet another person from CCW joining the Alliance, but the name was not given. It’s the nWo all over again! Also announced a quality Main Event.

 

Vincent cuts another promo, this time a bit more interesting. It seems he has found a fellow partner to help him achieve a goal of his, to take someone out…maybe to also get a win.

 

The handicap match, TERRIBLE. We had two matches and they both were lag-fests. Valmont said he would edit them together somehow I said that was fine. Turns out he made the match super damn long. It was boring as hell normal and long…yawn. He edited out my one tag in where I owned up but w/e. It was good to be back, just needs to get a true singles match.

 

Nice RP by Smythe and the “A-Team.” “Rachel is Hott! Really Really Hott. …seriously.” Funny stuff. Looks like a Stevens and Smythe vs LeonHeart fued is a brewing. Hopefully it developments more so its not revolved around Rachel. I get enough woman action with the Main Event storyline.

 

Hardcore match wasn’t as bad as people made it out to be. A lot of weapon use but it is HARDCORE. A lot of running and rolling which could have been minimized a bit. The match was decent. Really could have used some music though. Big win for Parker.

 

A funny yet serious RP with Guy, Nate, and Vs. Interesting choice of sandwich, the details added some nice humor. Nate is paranoid for his match, he’s not sure he can trust Guy. We shall see what the deal is. Nate, like he said, has good reason to trust no one.

 

Main Event time. DX thing was funny yet…uhhhhh what was it all about? Nate hitting the pedigree added to the entrance and attires. Nice run in by guy to prevent “Nate” from interfering with a pin. Majin and “Nate” attack Nate while he’s celebrating Guy rolls out of the ring and heads up the ramp leaving Nate to get beat on. Here comes Versus with another save attempt but runs right into Majin. BUT WAIT! Here comes Guy with a chair and Sensational Alliance quickly leaves the ring. BUT WAIT! Guy nails Versus in the head and Nate then takes another beating. Guy goes against his word and turns on Nate. Booooooo. Damn this Alliance! Am I allowed to say that?

 

Final Notes: Match of the night was Strider vs. Baxter. For being a Riot following the PPV it was a little disappointing. To add on to what Smythe said, it may be a little too much of the same. I always thought it would be awesome if a true rookie was added to the Alliance and helped to get pushed. Or someone other the one of the Vets made the save. I know it takes a lot of planning and communication to get these video storylines done but I am sure with some help someone new could step up and help Nate out. The Main Event could really use a splash of new characters. We’ve seen Guy in there with Nate, not taking anything away from Guy, the run in with the chair then turn actually caught me by surprise. I marked when you returned with a chair, only to have you turn on a snap. BUT I would really enjoy seeing someone new working with you all. Someone no one would expect.

 

Well that’s that, Riot was alright. No real response to the formation of Death Row on the show replies, little bit disappointed about that, but those who have recognized my efforts thank you. After getting suspended from Live someone spilt water on Bolds internet or I don’t know what is up but it got shut down. I’m sure he would be running his mouth all over this show but he will be back shortly. Enjoy the quiet while it lasts.

I know what you mean. It's hard to find apunch for my CAW that looks right. I used to use the quick jab and the snap jab, but as they were so fast I thought they were to cheesey to use.
