Administrators BASH Posted April 11, 2024 Administrators Posted April 11, 2024 Hello OCW and welcome back to the finest thing wrestling presents on a weekly basis. I am here to preview Turmoil 312 and tell you what I expect to see during the show. We got the card earlier this week and I am pumped that a return for OCW is on the horizon. C-Note vs Telos NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP C-Note is someone who I believe is right there in terms of cracking his perceived ceiling. I really do think he has what it takes to become a champion in OCW. He is someone that I look at who wants to improve the quality of their work both in and out of the ring. C-Notes fast in ring style should mesh well with Telos and his bruising power. Telos the new North American Champion who beat Viktor Karmine shortly before we concluded Season 18. Going into Season 19 I expect the champ to pick up where he left off. He had dominating performances against Aleksander Bolek at Anniversary 19 before winning the title on Riot. Telos run doesn't cool off here for my money, and I will be interested to see who steps up next to challenge the big man. C-Note is so close but at this point Telos is not the man I see him making his name off of. Telos retains the championship in a good match. DNS vs Paul Harris & Anthony Martin Booking is trying to get A-Mart into another tag team. Much like it worked out last time when he and Paul Boulet faced DNS I expect the same result. Paul Harris is no slouch who has quite the resume wrestling DNS himself. The DNS combo likely won't be Samsin and Mad Dawg in full transparency. I think we get a win here but Paul Harris could easily swing things in the other direction. How A-Mart comes out and performs will really determine for me how this is going to go. Jynx vs Scotty X vs Devon Flash Another match where I feel like DNS could come out of it with a victory. We know Jynx currently has the number of Scotty X from their match at On Deadly Ground before Season 18 ended. Devon Flash was on that card as well and failed to win the tag team titles with his partner Ryvaughn. A little bit of smoke and mirrors can go a long way in a triple threat match. Luckily for Jynx that is his gimmick, smoke and mirrors. Flash has a strong showing but my prediction is we see a repeat of ODG where Jynx once again pins Scotty X. Clark Effect Featuring Lariette This feels like a Blue Blazer situation. I want to say the person under the purple mask and get up looks distinctly familiar. However there is nothing proving that to this point. It has been well documented that Terra is traveling by her wife Sue. I am interested in what the Luchador looking person has to say. Not much has been said about her to this point. So not exactly sure what to expect. I do however know that if it is Terra in a mask, then EMP won't be far away to end that charade. Marisa vs Lotus Flojo This feels like the type of match where both women will be searching for that early momentum to start the season. Flojo is in desperate need to me of a kick start in any direction. After losing to Deborah in the impromptu FI cash in this seems to be a rudderless ship. Marisa is also searching for that thing in my opinion that shoots her to the next level. A win over Flojo would be a start in that journey. Have to wonder where Marisa's focus is at this point due to her being in an action film. I think Marisa walks away here with a win although I think this win would mean more to Flojo given the place she is at now. Overall I expect these two ladies to put on a really good match. Give me some form of urgency from both of them though please. H20 vs Wrex I must say that I am personally quite excited to see this one. One half of the Ocean Boys aka The Perfect Storm against one half of KassCum. Wrex already looks to be in mid season form as I have done some work with him in the performance center within the last couple of weeks. Harvey has a reputation of coming up short from what I can see in these really large matches. Whether it is in hype or the size of Wrex's beer belly this match should be a big deal. I expect these two to go out and put on the banger I have been hoping for. Wrex comes away with the win here for me. Really putting the Perfect Storm on the backfoot. Could we potentially see a tag team title run for KassCum if they manage to get another victory over the men who have essentially declared themselves number one contenders on multiple occasions? That may or may not be in the cards when it comes to G&G. However I fully expect this to end up being the match of the night when all things are said and done. Ashely vs Sue Plex WOMEN'S PRIDE CHAMPIONSHIP Given who Ashely defeated in one the greatest women ever to grace the OCW squared circle in Empress. You would think that I am going to easily favor her. I however believe it is Sue's time to show that dark energy she has been hiding. We saw glimpses of it at the end of Season 18 and now we should see it in full fledge effect in Season 19. Ashley is a very competent competitor and I am sure she will have Belle by her side during this match. Can she withstand the potential for underhanded tactics that Sue might bring to the table? Sue has been close to championship opportunities in the past but has come up short in that pursuit. I just think the entire Reese family is in a dark place. Sue shocks the world and wins the championship with her new found evil attitude. Sue Plex walks out as your new OCW Women's Pride Champion and starts her season 19 off right. I think this leaves Ashely in a place where she has to do some soul searching. 12 1
El Parca Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 Great preview and breakdown BASH. One thing I would say that I personally dislike about the card IS the North American Championship match. Telos, just winning the title I am all for defending his strap but not against C-Note and not on the first TV show back. While I have zero issue with the Pride Championship main eventing, I think that's actually a tremendous Main Event to come back with I feel the NA match really showcases at times where we sort of abandon the actual pro wrestling aspect of things. This seems more like C-Note beat Reese, let's throw him a bone. Now I can respect that + admire it but I just don't think this is the right thing for him. I'd like to see C-Note continue building his momentum and perhaps either going for the CCW title or aiming for another big name instead of being slotted into a midcard championship match. It gives me similar vibes of when Reese finally lost the tag titles and instead of waiting to go into the World Title picture he went into the International Title picture which in my opinion, hampered his momentum because you get very few shots where you're at the top with the momentum. This goes for BOTH C-Note & Telos, Telos finally got a crowning moment and we could see yet again another champion lose their title on not only their first defense attempt but the first show back. We had moments where Sheldon lost the World Title + the International Title and folks were really bummed out / questioning, "Well can he really be a true champion?" I think with Telos due to his build / how he's portrayed himself I WANT to see him be a dominant champion, I however do not want to see C-Note in a situation like this where he could lose and squander some of that momentum he just got by defeating an extremely game Reese, but I also don't want Telos to lose his championship on the first show back and in his first defense. Obviously you'll have people do the age old "comp is comp" and sure that's fine but I just would've rather liked to see if this match (a North American Championship match) was gonna happen it be against someone that isn't C-Note. Especially since Telos is a for certain heel and C-Note is in his weird tweener / heel stage at the moment. Maybe the match will go well and they end in a draw / DQ / or some fuck shit happens and I'm relieved but we shall see. 6

Quartz Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 SUE VS ASHLEY I will be rooting for Sue because I love her. Outside of that biased allegiance, I'm sure this won't end without some kind of overexaggerated self-aggrandizing dialogue about how one of the two did something wrong and our new Pride title will continue it's not-so-rich history of being more famous for controversy than sport. WREX VS H2O Wrex has been the silver medal for a long time as Mr. Turmoil but will once again be reminded that he's not what he thinks he is and can take his fat worthless ass back to Michigan after the GOAT buries him. FLOJO VS MARISA Will be an interesting match leaving us wondering which will take the next step, but will ultimately just be another "great match for the sake of great match" FloJo style that leads to nothing. I got FloJo in this one which will only be less relevant when Action Hero Marisa turns it into something amazing. JYNX VS SCOTTY VS DEVON FLASH No real point to guess this. Match will not happen, server issues or something of the like. Some kind of replacement match will fill in and will... exist. HARRIS & MARTIN VS DNS My instincts tell me this match also won't be happening, but for the sake of it, DNS wins and there will be controversy of some kind to ruin whatever fun the match could've had. TELOS VS CNOTE Viktor didn't die to watch Telos lose in his first defense. Or maybe he did. /shrug 4 3 President and leading member of the Paul Pugh Fan Club. B-17 Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 SUE VS ASHLEY I've played James enough to know that you can't know which Jamie you're going to get. He's going to be consistent, but will he have the extra heat? I want to say yes, but Ash probably running on extra motivation and is likely in a better competitive position to win. WREX VS H2O I expect a pretty even match. I haven't fought either one of them recently so I don't have much to speculate with outside of a desire to give Wrex a marginal advantage but Harvey has Quartz as his Hype Man and that's got be enough to sway it. H20 with a grueling victory. FLOJO VS MARISA Marisa just has the confidence and the momentum that I won't pick against here. Jynx vs Scotty X vs Devon Flash My eyes will explode if I watch, probably. Flash is my pick if for no other reason that Jynx and Scotty will focus so much on each other that he steals it in a flash... C-Note vs Telos CNote. This is just his moment. 3 "Amatuer cheat hunter, Resident OCWFED historian, Lover of spreadsheets, data and HOI, MASTER OF THE GOKART" *I DONT KNOW HOW TO CHANGE MY PROFILE!*
