Damn 2 pages already off some off the cuff cliff notes written while watching.

Ai tobias forge is hard cuz of the accent. Most cant do them well. It's the best one I have

Nate mac does have too much going on but it isn't the tag division fault. He should be done with Marisa and dawg. Seen it said a few times and I agree with that sentiment. He's got 2 fued going and only one getting a ppv slot? So the other should take a back burner and not pile on one show.

Jae about to go at fuck finishes like he felt about rematches on post show stream.

Not playing devil’s advocate for EMP, as I do agree at least partially with some of the points Maxx raised. The build did go 0 to 100 a little too quick for me. However two things should be considered:

  1. the comp is comp nature of OCW makes it so championship feuds rarely last more than a month, due to the challengers having to be fresh all the time. Additionally, OOC contingencies make it so this will most likely be a one and done kind of deal, especially if EMP wins. I’m sure if EMP and Deborah had 2-3 PPVs to build for, the story would have been a much slower burn. Realistically, that won’t be the case so it makes sense for them to go all out in the few weeks they have to do shit.

  2. I think a lot of characters and handlers often default to a specific format when it comes to storylines, a format they enjoy producing. At the end of the day, being a RP server, people write what they get the most enjoyment out of. For instance, you know a Dragana feud will often be cutesy, have a lot of feel good moments and hugs. A Valkyrie feud will often see her be the damsel in distress facing a faction or 2+ people. A EMP feud will often be over the top (in a good way), featuring a lot of violence and crazy segments. All of the above are valid, just as much as your criticism is valid. So there’s a bit of a fallacy there.

I partially agree with some of Maxx’s points in regards to Jordan, however I feel like in wrestling sometimes when someone turns heel/face they also have a sharp change in the way they present themselves. So I see this as more of a change tied to Jordan’s heel turn and it still makes sense to me. Everyone has their opinion on whether they like it or not though.

Good match between Skadi and Christine. I disagree with Maxx when it comes to Christine’s gear though. I’ll say this in a very respectful way and purely for the sake of constructive criticism, but I feel a little more effort should be put in Christine’s presentation. Not having a face texture is fine, however just slapping Sarray’s gear on her is a bit lazy. The way I see it, the more effort you put into something, the more people perceive it as valuable and wanna watch it. Try to at least color swap it a little or mix and match gear pieces. Below you will find a discord link that leads to a server that hosts several free textures you can use for gears and whatnot to spice her up a little:

https://discord.gg/cM2EtJGp

In the divorce segment the entrances could’ve been skipped entirely. I understand wanting to show off the characters and it's fine, but I think segments should be at around 3 minutes max. Especially for characters that are prominently featured throughout the show. That’s why I often skip mine. Just my two cents. Great shirt for Dawg, loved it. I’d buy it IRL. The segment in itself was great and well produced. I think Iceman has a little too much going on at the moment though. Not really his fault because comp is comp and had he lost the four way battle royale this wouldn’t be an issue.

I’m really enjoying the Pride being prominently featured in exciting matches on a weekly basis. I just feel it’s kinda strange for Dragana being a little in the background of it all. It’s fucking Dragana, a hall of famer… it should be all about her vs Sue which would be a great program. I assume it has to do with Pride having to be defended weekly which doesn’t allow for a full Sue vs Dragana feud to breathe, but I wish I could see these two interact more prominently and take center stage. Instead it feels as if Dragana is more of a nuisance rather than the main threat. Good for Suzuki to be in the video though, she has potential.

The Reese Parca is a sleeper hit segment, make sure you read it and show the webshow some love. Very good writing and excellent portrayal of each character by the two, which comes as no surprise. Definitely two of the most iconic toons of the modern era, from their tag reign to their world title feud. I don’t think this will be the end of Mark though. Will this lead to a final showdown? Wrestlution maybe?

The Kass B17 promo I really enjoyed. I love the “pick your poison” stipulation. I wish it was used more often in OCW, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it. Excited to see where this leads to.

The Elite Undergrounds segments feel like a GTA online cutscene with the boys  where every player is dressed wildly and without following a theme. It’s not a bad thing, I just find their direction really peculiar as they are all so different. The masked guy adds to the craziness of it all. Regardless I can only applaud the three for being rookies but still putting effort on a weekly basis.

The JynX C-Note bit was also a fun read. I could not take it seriously though, it felt more like comedy relief than a serious segment, which is not a bad thing at all. Very fun writing and enjoyable all throughout.

The fuck was going on in the Bobbi Bolek RP? Good to see Bolek actively RPing and Bobbi back, however that ending was wild. Kidnapping?!

The Rust Pugh interaction was short and to the point. Really feels as if the tag division is at its peak, with many teams and on so many levels, rookies, legends, veterans. Just wishing the tag matches had better design which would make them more fun to watch. But regardless I’m interested in seeing where this goes.

The ice cold contenders segment was good, felt very pro wrestling. It’s what you would expect from the people involved. I still believe Samson should be going after DNS though as his primary goal. Again comp is comp so him being number one contender sort of happened, but I feel like now it’s the time to cash in on all the efforts they’ve put in building that faction over the year. Instead it feels as if he just sort of left and is doing other stuff while also going after Bash, but also being in a tag team… it’s a bit convoluted.

Tag match was fun I don’t think it dragged at all. However there was a lot of ghosting which hurts the quality. Whoever is editing be sure to disable resampling before rendering otherwise this happens. Really digging the Clickbae connection, with both being good at the game I can see them challenging for the title in the near future. Nothing to be ashamed for UE, if anything they are the template for what being a rookie should be in ocw. Good matches, weekly presence, effort.

Good effort in the hype video.

The ending segment was a bit of a mess, I take at least part of the blame for sending in my entrance bit without ascertaining how exactly it was going to be spliced in. I think it would have worked much better without it and I apologize for it. Other than that, the match was pretty good. The Parca Sheldon stuff is great, really pro wrestling 101 with the muscle and the baby-face underdog. One of the top stories going at the moment at least for me. The Bash Samson thing is something I definitely wanna see get more space and time to develop after the tag team championship stuff is over.

Valkyire Perl

    - Some missing sound fx with the fighting really throws off what could've been a perfect concise segment
    - Good job with the story really giving Perl a rocketship rise and quite clearly being in a better position than Bash at the moment.

Fair point, I’ll take it. I am usually a perfectionist when it comes to production value, so this hurts a bit. I’ll do better in the future.

i had such high hopes for valkyrie’s comeback. was awaiting this tiny, all-mighty force of nature that i last saw in 2019. unfortunately, it hasn't been quite what i expected, from that dns beta beatdown at the start from making herself look too damn weak, like….girl…..no need to over force the helpless babyface angle, you don’t really need to beg for sympathy, everyone is cheering u on regardless. probs it's just me being dramatic and still having her old self in my mind. i'm still getting used to her new vibe but it's like i'm watching a different person. anyway, i'm rooting for her too!! and i hope i can eventually vibe with her groove again. but for now, i hatehatehate her diner waitress look. ponytail included.

Thanks for watching and commenting first and foremost. I think you raise some great points. Except for the waitress thing, how dare you?! Regardless, you should consider that Perl is a new character, so I feel it’s necessary for me to be on the receiving end a little as to make her seem like a real threat. Also, I’m not gonna lie, I enjoy portraying Valkyrie as the baby-face in peril. It’s just the most fun I get out of content creation. She was never supposed to be an unstoppable force, but we live and learn! I hope you will enjoy the future stuff more. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts, I appreciate it.

Ayy this is Godzilla vs King Kong, and I'm just not a fan of those types of movies.  Others, as we've seen on this forum love it just not how I would've liked to do it from a creative standpoint.

I'm gonna take this comment as a joke because I know your not trying to say what jake and I have done has not been creative just because its not to your liking.  You are free to you opinion but like hell if I'm gonna let you say how we choose to tell our story isn't creative Just because we choose not to run our mouths at each other for 4 weeks before doing anything like I don't know just about every feud we have done and choose to be at each others throats the whole time isn't creative.  Maybe you take a step back really revaluate your views on what most wrestling feuds are about.

I am happy to hear the feedback and Once again just answering comments  while I get through the show.

All of the above are valid, just as much as your criticism is valid. So there’s a bit of a fallacy there.

- The Build starting at 100 was a choice one for lack of time and two because it previously started with the build of Shianne vs Deborah.   I warned Deborah from the start to stop fucking with Shianne's head. She proceeded to do that. Her actions had consequences following her PPV match she knew I was coming for her.  Everything was laid out I'm not sure where this 0-100 comes from as everything was started in the Shianne vs Deborah build if people haven't been following I can't help that.

Both Jake and I have done tons of feuds that start off talking for weeks and avoiding contact till it gets closer to the show. The slow Build as you would put it.  But, Why do that again? just because its the norm for most feuds to drag out doing anything? Emp took Deborah trying to get Shianne  to split from TOG as a personal attack.  We choose to take a different path everyone is free to have their opinion on how they would have done a feud and as you stated most of my feud usually go wild and crazy when I can this is one of those choices especially after doing such a long slow build story against Heather.

- I had fun with the tag match. Honestly Bee and I are just having fun as both Click and Bae are just meant to be relaxing and fun. The stories are suppose to be on the silly end but if Tag Title opportunities happen we won't walk away from them.  As for the match quality I was the one to record the match and edit the match. I recorded on my PS5 as well as with a Capture Card for safety reason ( Had a file randomly be corrupt after recording something).  The ghosting is hard coded into recording because the match was done with the PS4 version of the game which runs like absolute trash.  Not amount of editing could remove how bad the old gen version of this game runs.

I think your Ai Voice is perfectly acceptable. It's better than AI Wrex.

I agree; Nate has WAY too much on his plate. Even if you are actively involved in multiple angles, you don't need to appear for all of them. Some of the stories can be told without your direct involvement. I especially noticed it because you also have a match. That's a lot of Dig It in one episode, and Less is More.

Fuck finishes do have a time and place. IDK if there have been more recently, but it feels like there has been more recently

Hello

Love when people feel strongly enough to provide feedback, regardless of whether or not I agree.

RE: Deb/EMP from my perspective-

I know there are times and places for more nuanced/non physical altercations and as EMP pointed out, both of us have gone that route plenty, including against each other. Just so we're clear, this is all a deliberate choice and not some lazily thrown together thing we just didn't have the time to build on.

I asked EMP prior to recording with Shianne if she'd be interested because that is how the entire Shianne title build started and it played perfectly into the fact Shianne had never gotten her 1v1 up to this point, the insinuation being that both heel debbie and EMP didn't consider her "good enough", to which she proved she was, despite coming up just short.

EMP was the next logical person and to me, her behavior is a logical escalation of how she already tried to handle Deborah before, with her power & manipulation of her friends/goons. That did not work for EMP, and if you recall, she was shrugged off once Shianne stuck to her guns, so of course she'd be furious. I think back to her initial interactions with Terra, Heather, and Harri Etiquette, where it started as mindgames/power abuse before turning to violence when that didn't work.

The idea for "goodie two shoes" Deborah to try and start with a typical promo battle to address Summercide, only for EMP to go 0-100 and *skip past* the pleasantries, was on purpose. To me, it's meant to be viewed as "EMP is skipping the mental part and going right for the jugular." This is due to both her frustration with what happened with Shianne, as well as a less obvious sign of respect for how strong Deborah has been. (IE, I kill her before she kill me).

Another factor was Deborah's face turn. She had lost a bit of her "edge" that got her to this point (something EMP pointed out with the House of Deborah and Shianne in total), so she was caught off guard by trying to just talk to EMP. This allowed Deborah to be something the other overtly violent feuds were not and bounce right back to show her she can be just as violent. EMP has long used extreme violence to get her way, but not always were the victims so ready and willing to get back up. (Most eventually do and do it the right way, the idea here being Deborah is not above sinking to her level, as that's what heel Deborah always did.)

It was always meant to deliberately show that EMP can't flex on Deborah the way she has others. There's a ton of viable ways to pull this off, and we considered a complete abuse of power thing that coulda gone any direction, but I felt that was not appropriate given Deborah basically holds a similar amount of pull with the other authority figures. EMP is cerebral, so she would have known that IC and not bothered with the "oh hohoho traveler I'm here to strip you of the title and take it for myself!"

More to come as we head to Hard Target, so I will stop there and thank y'all again for popping some show disco. Love it or hate it, it means you felt strongly enough to comment and to me, that's all that matters (also it makes Jay's heart happy so anything that does that is a ++)

My point in the response is more to show that this isn't some hastily/lazily thrown together concept or something that's because of my IRL circumstances. If I wanted to mail it in, I'd just vacate the thing and move on. Not to say it was explicitly said, but just making sure it's clear that this isn't just some oversimplified thing due to IRL constraints, at least it's not to me, I enjoy rambling off all the tidbits and pieces of character development and logical reasoning behind things, so hopefully it's read that way and not being defensive, because I don't need to be. Maxx is right, there were other angles that coulda been fun, but to me, between these two at this point in time, violence was always the only option. I don't mind the Godzilla vs Kong comparison, but there's a lot more that goes into what led to this point and why aside from "two big monsters throw hands" in my opinions, but I'm obviously much closer to it, so no harm no foul.

I suppose we'll have to see what happens after the no-contact clause was immediately and obviously broken. 😄

--

Aside from that, I admittedly haven't been as tapped in, but I always throw the show on while cooking or in the background because y'all do good work. Apologies in advance for any inaccuracies but here's thoughts from the brain:

Iceman's return has been a fun surprise with him capturing the #1 contender stuff. His overinvolvement in lots of things we've seen before from other busy entities and it'll cool down before it becomes a bit much, I'm sure.

Some creative new characters to fill in the gaps on cards and give fun matches. (both rookies and new characters alike)

I kinda really like the Underground Elite. The mystery leader of theirs could make or break them but the group alone is fun and I always love early initiative from rookies.

Parca is back to being a shitter, where he fits best. I don't mind Nova Rosalio(?) as a heater. John inserting himself into it as a three way was well done and organic via booking and I could easily see Sheldon being miffed about this. Also adds opportunity to build into the next show

Loving the pride title being more of a tv focus since Cide

Mass Effect are great leaders of the division, very easy to understand and they don't take themselves too seriously. Easy to fit in with any tag team when needed. I feel like I didn't really register the Loser Lemonade as that deep. If someone was unsure why you're selling it, you can take that as "I need to be more clear on my jokes/gags" rather than getting all snippy and throwing out insults. We love ya Dev, no need for that. All on the same team.

BASH has slid himself in as a reliable guy who can hang with main eventers and legends from an OCW/IC standpoint.

Valkyrie's battles with PERL and DNS are fun, an opposite sort of creative battle from what we're seeing elsewhere. I love when OCW accidentally/organically does different stuff and doesn't overdo one particular style of feud. This reminds me of when Valk's old streamer friend Alyssa Winters came back and gave us one of our first glimpses into her background & life away from wrassling. DNS has history of using hacking to fuck with people so it all fits.

I love Dragana, all segments she's in are perfect.

I do not love Kass being in the CCW picture, he was officially removed from it. This isn't a loophole in the wording or interesting way around it - such as when he cashed in *before* the Lution 15 main event since the language specifically read *during or after*. It's just shrugging it off. I WORKED TO HARD TO LET THIS MAN BACK INTO THE CCW PICTURE! WHERES MY RED COAT ribbit

but hey, it's wrestling so anything is on the table, I just would like a better way around it than "emp said I could".

thanks again world, be nice to each other for fucks sake.

check it out. If you cant understand that this had nothing to do with him liking the promo nor anything him to do with misunderstanding whether we were selling or giving away the drink, mind ya buisness lmfao. That aint a conversation worth having because Maxx is entitled to his opinion.

As i said before I have gotten criticism before and I don't take any of it personal, this supposed to be a place of growth.

I told Maxx to review my shit wit the correct details. IDC how small the detail is, as a creator I don't do none of this shit to get on here to read someone review something (WHILE OFFERING NO CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISICM) and not take the time to get the details right. It doesn't have to be just my shit. Don't step into the role of a critic if you gon lazily recap what you saw and don't hide rudeness behind poorly written reviews.

Pop that thing out yo mouth my guy and fix yo fingers to tell Maxx to put a little more effort into his reviews, dont fix yo fingers to tell me how to react to anything bout me and my work.

As i said it was all love and its gon keep being all love. Ion need you nor anyone else tryna be den mother and do the "We're all on the same team." schtick.
