Gonna do a different approach this time and just review select things. Sorry if that offends anyone as that’s not the goal. Also a quick disclaimer, anything I’m talking about in said review, please do not take it as some offensive thing like I want you to die. Anyways with that said let’s crack on.

Marisa’s Challenger is Announced + Feud Convo as of 9/21/25:

Tiberius Dupree is ruining lives and Marisa is target #1 which is hilarious. Marisa’s title reign has been a bit shaky in terms of how it’s gone in my eyes. I’d have liked to see her already defend against Cheryl, I wasn’t particularly fond of the Perl tv defenses and then the Sue match was also kinda sussy. As in OCW though champs usually get final say so if that’s what the champ wanted then the champ gets its.

The segment was phenomenal on execution but there were a few things involving the segment and leading up to it that as a more informed viewer left me wanting a bit more. Marisa is a well defined character as we all know. Cheryl has done a fantastic 180 on being this tweener sorts heel mean girl that just about a lot of other people in the division are as well. Cheryl at this moment is tied as my 1A favorite women’s babyface. Skadi is a great character with her segments and what she does but as we’ve seen her performances in the ring itself have left us wanting more for sure. Sarah Moore imo is not ready for this spot. I was a bit confused on why she was involved in it when I don’t think there’s been much evolution or character growth from her consistently enough to warrant this type of position. Yes she has the branch with Skadi, Cheryl and Marisa but I would’ve liked to see her develop more. Deborah and Perl are an interesting dynamic as well. Deborah before she lost the women’s world title was obviously positioning herself as a babyface. Ever since she’s come back she obviously went after Junko which is rightfully so but afterward I haven’t gotten very babyface vibes from her especially in the segment between her, Cheryl and Skadi. I understand that the game limits us in body language and such but the delivery in her words really made me go “whoa wait a minute” and in my eyes at least, pushed her more toward that tweener / soft heel role than being kore of a babyface. Deborah and Perl should’ve probably been their own match tbh, Perl has lost to Marisa twice, it’s not a fluke after a second loss. So I am finding it a bit hard to understand why Perl is also involved outside of oh she’s feuding with Deborah so that feud itself just gets absorbed to make the chamber.

Now I don’t know what it’s like to build a chamber from start to finish. But I do wish the build for this went a lot differently. It very much feels like Marisa v. The World & Deborah v. Perl, which if that was the intention? Then for at least me, it missed a lot. I’d have liked to see everyone interacting at bare minimum after week one to make it more obvious on what was going to happen. I have no doubt in my mind that the handlers themselves involved in said match will knock it out the park. But as a viewer and a fan of the wrestling side / segment side of things there was a lot left on the table for MY personal preferences that I would’ve liked to see the story unfold. Obviously we have the go home show left where I assume we’ll end up seeing the chamber order so I’ll hold my thoughts on that until it comes out.

Overall while I know the match itself will be just fine, a bit more of structure and organization could’ve really leveled the feud up more and potentially switching out some of the participants as well. Cause after this Turmoil were also in a precarious situation where Junko now has a win over Marisa. So if Marisa retains then her next challenger will obviously be Junko. Part of me before we see the match & the go home, wants to see Marisa retain but also see Cheryl win as well. OCW atm is so top heavy with heels as champions (all 3 world champs + the NA champ) that Lution could be a prime position to see one or a majority of heel champs get their comeuppance and Cheryl would be a phenomenal babyface underdog champion.

Lumberjack Match + CCW Title Escapades:

The match itself was a good match but I was also confused on some of the things surrounding the match. If Emp knew that Wrex helped get B17 back into OCW, why have you and Kass out there to have the odds to help Wrex? The match did devolve a little bit where all the lumberjacks were throwing hands which did make it neat. But then the after match stuff was also like a rollercoaster of good, meh, bad, whoa, what? The entire story / timeline of Emp becoming this monster who controls everything it seems rather… abrupt? That it’s being shown she’s possibly losing power a bit?

She didn’t really care if things didn’t shake out her way often because she always evened the odds or tipped the scales back in her favor regardless of what happened. Now I think it’s only natural and probably overdue that there starts to be some cracks in the armor. However some of the cutscenes and videos that were used to stitch together everything in the end was a bit odd. Maybe I’m overlooking some things and not piecing it together as well but why exactly would B17 not wanna get his hands on her the minute he could? Why would B17 be standing next to her also Pikachu shock faced by what Quartz did? I feel like if anything B17 would be like WARRRRR and go after both Emp + Quartz. Maybe Quartz is going to be the special guest referee? Maybe he’s gonna force himself to be slotted into the match itself. I did LOVE seeing Quartz potentially start teasing Ijitu coming back (seen earlier from the AC Cobra segment) so that dynamic and layer is a nice thing to be added and involved with it.

I just feel like for my own preference there’s something missing and not clicking for me personally. I know that it’ll be concluded in a way that will hopefully make sense but if this is the true start to EMPs demise and downfall I hope it’s a very quick crash and burn where everything comes toppling down like crazy.

Sheldon & RyVaughn Adventured:

I don’t know what clicked for Sheldon lately but he’s been on FIRE. I think choosing RyVaughn as well is a perfect opponent as both guys know what it’s like to have the highest highs and the lowest lows after facing El Parca. It’s also a much better visual that Sheldon doesn’t have Dresden with him anymore (rip danny) because Sheldon doesn’t need a heater or an NPC with him to get his point across. He’s a former world champ, international champ and one of the most dominant tag competitors ever. So for him to be finding this footing and really locking in is a wonderful thing to see. I’m very curious on what RyVaughn does in the final week and in the Lution match? Or whenever they have their final meeting which will obviously be in the ring.

it’s a very big moment for RyVaughn because if he loses, does he feed into what Sheldon says and joins him? If he wins does Sheldon say more slithery words in his ears that cause self doubt so he joins him regardless? Or if Sheldon wins does he just become an ultra prick who is like LOL told you get fucked and then leaves Ry to pick up the pieces? In my eyes it’s a wonderful scenario where no matter what the finish of the match is neither guy will lose and stock at all. Sheldon bordering this psychopath villain while also showing glimpses of the good person he was is easily one of the most fascinating character things going on in OCW right now. This bridge is also amazing for RyVaughn because he can either really show he is trying to become a babyface and walk that path toward redemption and being a good guy or he could say fuck that and go back to being a bad guy since when he was a bad guy that’s when he saw so much success in his career.

Eventually I think it would be awesome for Sheldon to get his own “flock” but it needs to be natural and organic. You don’t gotta force it as it seems like he’s invested in this character path for the foreseeable future. So no matter where he goes with it I’m excited to see what happens at the end of the day.

Scotty Scotty ohhhh Scotty X:

Trying new things when you’re not used to content creation or using the game should always be something we celebrate. It’s nice to see Scotty putting forth effort and trying to tell a story that he likes and he’s able to get invested with. Ever since Scotty came here one thing I will always applaud even if I don’t necessarily agree with it always is the dude sticks to his guns. He has kept his look generally the same outside of dying that hair horribly (pls Scotty see a hair stylist) and he just keeps the boat moving how he sees fit. However… I was not overly in love with seeing X? I assume that’s his or its name due to the segment name on YouTube. I feel like in OCW we’ve sorta ran the course of having alternate egos, brothers, split personalities to where it’s kinda overdone. Especially since X has a red eye it really does (at least to me) lean a bit too closely to what Quartz does with his minds of Quartz and their differing looks / colors. The idea is there and we are seeing it worked out but I think there’s a different approach or style that could be used to help make it look more unique to Scotty and his own story than look similar to things we’ve seen in the past. Once again, the game has limitations and I understand that so it’ll be a process to try and think it out and execute it but if there’s a will there’s a way.

I also figure in this part I share this just incase Scotty or anyone else reading for that matter doesn’t know. You can 100% have the crowd & the referee not be involved in your clips in HLR without saving them. We’ve saw it time and time again with Dragana and her dojo segments. It makes it look more natural and organic as why would there be a crowd or referee in the Combat Center when you’re just running the ropes?

So if you don’t know how to do it -

Do the things you wanna do -> go to highlight reel -> make the clip length you want in the timeline -> press START go to video clip -> click alpha mask -> click the crowd + the ref -> after that accept it or just click off and you’ll be good to go. Rewind your clip to the start with LT (left trigger) and press down on the d-pad (this gets rid of the hud) then press X (on Xbox) or Square on (PlayStation) and it’ll play the preview of your clip with everything that you wanted alpha masked out, gone. Figure just incase I’ll put that there.

Gabriel & Cobras Blood Feud:

Out of all my time in OCW I think this feud is probably one of the best examples on what a BLOOD FEUD is like. We obviously see matches on PPVs get labeled “Blood Feud” probably for Jays ease of mind so it isn’t a ballache to always name a million matches + segments. (name your own fucking segments you heathens) But this feud? Man. I won’t lie I 100% still can’t get over the fact that fucking Cobra has been Eddie Ramos for all this time. I should’ve known when he said MJ > LeBron smh.

The reveal at R2G was something idk who could’ve expected that and I definitely didn’t. But after the reveal I have said I feel Cobra has sorta missed the mark in small ways with his promos and what he’s been doing with Gabe. Gabe on the other hand is showing why HE WAS ROOKIE OF THE GODDAMN DECADE. CAUSE MY GOD THIS MAN IS ON A COLLISION COURSE TO BEING THE MOST ORGANIC BABY FACE IN OCW.

I am hoping with the go home show they knock it out the park and really slam it home to show everyone that this is some real hatred. What I do wonder is how intertwined with Gabe & Cobra be after Lution, we saw Cobra have that interaction with Quartz and it does beg the question, is he looking ahead of Gabe? Because if so that is such a bad thing for him. Either way these dudes have done a really good job of at least to me creating a mold of how to have a Blood Feud organically. I’m also beyond interested into see both guys trajectories after Lution since there’s still so much left in the season and the year.

Alright that’s it for now. Sorry if I didn’t cover everything but I figure some discussion is better than none. Let me know your thoughts as well whether it’s on the forum or the discord. Okay bye.

I was actually having a talk with a bunch of people in the turmoil VP after the show, and they were talking me into being ok with Moore being involved. But much like you and Kass, I'm looking at the lineup and I'm not upset they are getting the shot, I'm more questioning if this is pulling the trigger on a significant event that could have been more appropriately done at another PPV with more time for them to interact, because it does feel disjointed to me, and this is Lution, as for the idea of Perl not being involved, I think she has one of the clearest reasons to be concerned due to her evident past with Marisa. I told Jim that I too would have preferred the straight Deb vs. Perl story to unfold first, but bringing up the losses only allows considerations of Stixx's record and Skadi's records as well. Skadi in particular has had a rough go of it on the sticks lately.

I do think you are overlooking some things. B17 was shocked because this is precisely what Quartz said he wouldn't stoop to. Quartz is betraying his own system of self-worth IS the actual shock to B17. Emp cheating, expected, I even claimed I was a bit proud of the heist because, as I said in the interview, it is impressive that Emp is the devil and no one truly saw it until it was too late. Emp has been portrayed as this villain who will do whatever she wants. Quartz, on the other hand, turned a corner, and his reversal of ideals is essentially a betrayal of what he has stood for these past three months.

The only person who hasn't betrayed their ideals and has stayed true to their beliefs, "Rise Up Again and Again and Again," is Bingo.

Emo Shelly is the best version of Shelly. Sell the despair and failure of his past and how it has dragged him down to this grunge, 90s style, fight-the-establishment kind of guy.

I don't know if I would go "all time" with my statement, but I do agree it is a blood feud, and it feels this could be the defining, never-ending feud that marks the careers of people, especially for Gabe. I find this to be an actual moment to strap a rocket to his ass. I think Cobra has to do his best to avoid a backslide to the "old cobra" and his promo with Quartz is the right step for that.

Always love seeing Tibby make an appearance and if it is to McFuck on B17 that makes me even happier. Fun stuff to kick off the show.

Interesting stuff from Cheryl in the written segment. Danny is alive and well it appears. Suing Omen is funny he has access to some wonderful lawyers courtesy of DNS, y'know the shady type. I am glad Cheryl made it clear she views now as her time and it isn't back on a nostalgia tour.

HWG loves doing work in the parking lot. Can't say that Claudio hasn't deserved it. His shit talk is always great. He is anything but a conventional baby face but he makes it work. Love me a ball game chant. These two are on a crash course for a match at some point.

Wrex is very to the point with his motivations during his written promo. Him being worried about his legacy is a new concept for me. He seems to be smarter than most people would give him credit for because the plan was executed well. Wrex is out for himself and himself only, the way it should be. What door did he walk through?

El Parca framing his actions being for the fans gave me a good chuckle. Overall it painted the picture as to his overall dominance and the issues his challengers have. The continuous shots of El Parca over the entirety of his reign was a nice added touch. The Reese line also leaves me questioning why the change of heart at this point. But overall it conveyed the message I believe he was trying to send.

I am going to say that this Scotty X segment has been discussed a lot. I do think he is venturing into a territory others currently do and have occupied in the past. I will give him the benefit of a doubt and let it play out. The production was a step up so kudos to Scotty on that as well. I want to see more Scotty X and what this story bring us.

Devon and C-Note bring a different dynamic than the one we saw out of them previously. Devon trying to turn over a new leaf and not be the snitch anymore has also become a consistent theme week to week. Just two guys who didn't like each other and did the enemy of my enemy is my friend thing. Paul Harris smiling in the shadows is creepy as hell.

Deborah showed out big time in her win against Ashely. I really enjoyed this match. Ashely did have one occurrence of walking backwards but it was minor in the grand scheme of things. The Queen has fallen a bit since she lost her title shot at Summercide. Deborah on the other hand has proven she still has what it takes to roll with the best. Good work to both.

Show is starting soon so I will be back.
