Nice to see people reviewing the shows again...oh wait! no one even gonna comment on anything they liked from the matches? For this show or last weeks Riot? And we wonder why no one is interested anymore...../sigh.

Me and Trips did have a great match, I just hate the Spear as a finisher.

The return show for Animosity and we get this kind of discussion? I thought OCW was back. Does Vincent Valmont got to push his weight around? I know it's Leon, but give him credit for bringing back a 2nd show. You people wanted another show... you got it. Don't let this go to waste. A simple couple sentences explaining what you liked or didn't like or your motn and why would be just alright.

 

Page 1-

Unless my eyes are playing tricks it appears that Leon is turning himself into another Mr.Sensation. Simple promo to get the show started. Silly Leon for thinking that I would actually show for a show opener to his show and fall into a trap.

 

Following the announcement in the ring from Leon we also get treated to a backstage segment between Jim Black and Leon. It seems Rox is MIA tonight and ends up getting paid for no showing anyway.

 

Smith vs ??? - 3/5 - I like the new song choice for Smith and his direction he's taking for himself. Mr.Crowley? My dislike for manager views is still strong. I don't know if Crowley was a lhvy or not, but Smith still appeared a step ahead of his opponent even though the match was kinda close. In the end Smith hit the start button on the ass whoop machine and let it run. He built up some offense and momentum and finished it off nicely with a victory that only helps him heading into the ppv. Smith is proving why he deserves the HC belt and he's definitely on the rise.

 

Page 2-

It seems that the OCW Tag Champs are one man short. The Air needs to return or Coop won't be able to breathe. Aries and Trance comes out and make the giant fall with endless attacking and chair shots. I liked the segment. Real good visual effect instead of another attack video.

 

Cruz vs Blade - 3/5 - As much as I hate this man I must say welcome back. What was supposed to be a "your fired" match with Blade and Cruz turned into "the mexican massacre." I think I never seen ??? such angrier than before. I got alot of respect for Cruz still trying to compete. I believe OCW needs to watch it's back. ??? has returned and is looking deadly.

 

After the match I understand why ??? has returned and has aligned himself with Leon and Christ. This doesn't look too good for OCW.

 

Page 3-

It's nice to finally see Sideshow back in OCW. I remember him slightly from the "glory" days of OCW. Nice to see a vet within OCW... and a new vet to return for that matter. If my memory serves me correct, Sideshow has changed slightly. Welcome back.

 

I liked the tension between Sideshow and Leon. The ending to the segment was interesting.

 

Trips vs Mayhem - 4/5 - I would've had to be dumb if I didn't watch this match. #1 contender going against a potential future #1 contender got my interest. I have to agree and say I don't like Trips theme and maybe it's time for a change. Both men have been on rolls and somebody has got to lose tonight. The winner of this match is definitely going to have some momentum. This match started off with Mayhem landing a nice arsenal of offense and pretty much continued to do so. It appears as if Mayhem was in control at Y/O and Trips finishable, but Trips hung in the match and fought back and showed why he's #1 contender. This match definitely MOTN and props to both men's performances.

Mayhem wants to try and intimidate the champ backstage?

 

Main Event - Valmont vs Christ & Leon - This is a must watch as it has a bit of everything for everyone. The ending raises interest as the PPV is around the corner. Special enforcer? I hope Leon has health insurance.

Nice review, but not sure why people keep sayin '??? is back' or welcome back ???...as ??? never left, he just wasnt booked for the 2 weeks before the ppv and the 2 week break, so it might have seemed like he was on a break.

 

Nice review Valmont, now if only more people would post what they liked, this site is going to shit really, the achievements was a waste of time as they never get dished out, champions page hasn't been updated in ages, the power 5 or what ever its called hasn't been touched either...OCW has been dumped for its younger, hotter sister OCFIGHT..are there no other staff members that can do the little touch ups this site needs?

Page 1-

I don't get why Leon is dressed like that. I can only assume he's going for the 'I'm crazy now' angle by trading in suits for street clothes, if that's the case then I don't think Leon has been wearing corporate attire for long enough for it to work. The promo in itself is what you expect, simple opener for the return of a much needed 2nd show. Don't like to give Leon credit because as I say on msn "Matt is a douchebag" but this is a great move to bring back Animosity.

 

Smith vs ??? - 2.5/5 - I agree with Valmont on the issue of the song choice. I liked it and Smith is doing a great job reinventing himself with this hardcore title spot he's in now. Now this is where I got lost. Who in the name of jesus is this guy? Mr Crawley? Match was aight, I bumped half a star off of Valmont's rating cause there wasn't really any turning point or arch in the match, it started one way, continued that way and ended that way. Well done on your first title and good job keeping it up there FRANK.

While it can be said that this wasn't just another boring attack video it can also be said that I don't like reading what could be seeing. I udnerstand that the game doesn't allow for sliding out from under the ring etc but I dunno, just a personal thing that I don't like text attack RPs. It is good seeing these guys churning content out, I'd like to see them as champs.

 

Cruz vs Blade - 1/5 - If I enjoyed seeing murder I'd watch one of the Halloween movies. The hell happened cruz? You're better than this get it together.

Sideshow being back is indeed a good thing for OCW but things have changed quite a bit since he was here and I just wonder if he can get back into his old form or if he'll just be Ken Shamrock trying to beat Tito Ortiz hanging on to the memory of when he USED to be good. Leon whoops on him a bit and tries to get him escorted. It is what it is. Seems like Sideshow returns right into the main event, as a hall of famer he does deserve it but at the same time I'd have liked to see him work something with one of the upper midcarders perhaps just to get us used to him being around again before he went big time like the old days, maybe it's just me.

 

Trips vs Mayhem - Like I said in the riot thread Mayhem is back to his old form and he's an opponent to be feared again. If I hadn't countered that finisher he tried then my ego would have taken a little bit of a beating. Had fun with this one though enjoyed playing it.

Interesting ending to the show. I knew it wouldn't be a straight up match because that'd be a screw job which is frowned upon these days. Interesting to see the clown get involved again as his 'return' earlier on was VERY shitty for him. But he gets his revenge and will face Leon in the cell with Nate as special enforcer. Should be a good match.

The only thing the staff members can do are stuff as far as posting shows, and match cards. Jaysin and Regan the two admins are the only ones who have access to anything else. Power 5 is on the big boss as well.
