Aries Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Hey Nick, stop being retired please, that also goes for AJ Phoenix, Sideshow The Klown and Juan Pablo. kthxbye. Why? You'll just lose the title even faster then.
Chris Ryder Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Why? You'll just lose the title even faster then. Ahahaha. First EX Westler OCW Champion right here, I hope that makes you cringe.
Aries Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Ahahaha. First EX Westler OCW Champion right here, I hope that makes you cringe. Not in the slightest.
Jacob Trance Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Ahahaha. First EX Westler OCW Champion right here, I hope that makes you cringe. Aye, there's always "First EX Wrestler OCW Champion that's reign is respected and not trashed before it's even begun."
Nick Kage Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Aye, there's always "First EX Wrestler OCW Champion that's reign is respected and not trashed before it's even begun." guess we have to get a brand new community for that huh trance? Trevor McManus Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 To win the title without people bitching about the match just have a suitable ending and a competitive match. It's not too much to ask for. And once again I don't see why people are complaining about attitude. There's discussion at least, right? It's much worse to win a title and nobody gives a FLYING FUCK, just ask my cousin. There's nothing wrong with negative discussion. When people bitch about what you do, defend yourself. Don't say we have a bad attitude because we think your shit stinks, all that says to me is that you don't have any legitimate defence for your actions. http://positivesharing.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/08/complaining.jpg [23:39] locoNY911: You get solace in the fact you arent a fuck up. 2k9's better than 2k8. Nick Kage Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 the issue here is that ocw needs to be jolted back life a bit, small community shitty game and flaming forum users makes it hard for people to enjoy them selfs here. how many people here want to spend 65 bucks on a game on to then write rp's for a forum no one goes to anymore in a fed where everyone wants a title so when people play to get it other people cry and say its not "storyline appropriate" have no one comment on the rp's you spend hours on no one comments on the shows 80% of the remarks are negative im sure there is more but with all that WHAT THE FUCK WOULD KEEP ME HERE? instead you can take a shocking situation and run with it to jolt some life back into OCW. some much needed life at that. times are different now and everyone needs to adapt to that. this is not 2006 when ocw had 100 members and 3 shows and a high level of competition. so the way things were handled then will not work now. Trevor McManus Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Well I do my best to get my little audio review up. I do it that way now cause I've noticed that when you do a text review people just quote you and agree rather than forming their own opinions. If you're going to take the time to download my review then I guess you have some interest at least. The promo room has kinda been getting more use recently with some new guys and the returning BDM. I got a few nice comments on an RP I did in there as well. http://positivesharing.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/08/complaining.jpg [23:39] locoNY911: You get solace in the fact you arent a fuck up. 2k9's better than 2k8. Recon Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Hmm let's see, 1st Riot of the Year, and the link takes you to OCW RIOT 2009 :) It's now 2010 :)
Vincent Valmont Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Im really starting to like the commentary for OCW although nothing can replace Scaggs and Poling. Be cool to see faces to go with Jacobs and Dunn. Before I get started on this review I want to get something off my chest to everyone in OCW. You people need to realize something. Being in OCW isn't just about doing matches, and winning titles. What made OCW survive for the years it has is because of the COMMUNITY. People respected each other. People commented and gave their opinions without bitching or whining 24/7. Here's a tip, storylines, matches, everything gets better when people comment and discuss because that opens up the creativity box and ideas start flowing in on what could have been better or done better. If you people want OCW around you have to keep it alive yourself. Jay, and staff can do only so much. There's a reason OCW will never be the OCW of the past because not of SVR2010. It's because of the community and I'm not afraid to admit it. The game has flaws, everygame has flaws, but we still play them don't we? It's ironic that you people complain about a game, but still want to get what you want in OCW. A league, community that relys on playing this "horrid" game. So bottom line is I'm telling you people to shape up, and step up. Stop complaining and just do. Do reviews, discuss things, for god's sake stop wasting hours talking about nothing in that shoutbox and go post a review or even one or two things you liked. All of you just don't how hard this really is for some, mainly staff, even some main event. It's easy to you now, but one day you'll realize what I'm telling yall now. /rant Page 1- We kick off the 1st OCW Riot of 2010 with our new OCW champion, Chris Ryder coming to the ring for a promo. With a new title brings a new theme for Ryder. Honestly I don't think the promo was OOC, or a shoot. Hell I mold my promos to feel more like a shoot because that's just me. However, I don't want Ryder taking that route of being the 'underdog' champ. We have had it before, and I don't want to see it again in the main event picture. It's true Ryder does have alot to prove, but like the promo says he's overcome odds before and we'll see about that next week. Brandon Hostile vs Smythe Da Wonder 4/5- Opening match starts with a nice boxing sway to the right by Smythe, followed up by a nice evasive roll from Hostile. Pretty much what was put down on paper as a squash turned out to be probably one of the best matches on riot if not the best one. Hostile came to play folks and what better way to make a splash into OCW then to take it to the North American Champion. Match was back and forth. Nobody could really get a real leg up on one another. That was until Smythe started to feeling it and went on an offensive assault which led to his deadly sig that busted open Hostile. Nobody would expect to see what happened next. Smythe hits his finisher, but hostile still with something to prove kicked out. Hostile tried to put up some offense, but Smythe had just gotten some steam and wasn't about to slow down. Smythe eventually goes for another signature, but it gets countered. Apparently Hostile had enough of that superkick. I'm assuimg by now that Smythe is getting tired of that evasive roll and Smythe could have finished the match sooner, but it's that champion mentality that makes one want to end it off his finisher or signature. Any longer I think Hostile would have gotten Smythe. Overall it was a good opener to kick off Riot. We see backstage after the match that Judas is talking with Alex Robinson. Judas declares that he will not lose another match until he wins the ex division title. Big claim, but we'll see if he lives up to it. Page 2- We're treated with an Evan Knox return, followed up by a brief family tree discussion by Knox. It appears that OCW is in for a shock because Evan Knox and Kang James are brothers? While reading this I sorta felt like it hit me like one of those big soaps tv shows twists. I will give credit this is one of the more well thought, and written rps of the night, and in my opinion besides at the end of the show, this is the most storyline progress RP of the night. Seems Aries is still fired, but Knox isn't hearing none of it. He don't want the ex title, he also doesn't want to go to jail so I'm assuming that until Aries returns to confront the truth, Knox isn't going anywhere. Carlos Cruz vs Leonheart - Must see match ladies and gentlemen. It's just that damn good that I can't even comment about anything, and I will say this is that Cruz is probably the closest thing to a realistic wrestler other than Nate, and RD. What I mean is that his character just seems so normal without having to add to it. Afterwards we see the North American Champion, Smythe Da. Wonder in his new lockeroom. He cuts a promo which had the heel vibe of Smythe, but kept it to where it still came off as face. Another well written promo. Page 3- The ex division champion who doesn't want to be the champion, Jacob Trance cuts probably one of his better promos he's ever done. He made some good points. It was well written. It's interesting to see where a champion goes with a title he doesn't want, but isn't going to lose it with ease. OCW T.V Title Match - Iceberg vs Trevor 3.5/5- Just before I start, I would reconsider your title intro, Le'Tuce. Onto the match which was also expected to be a squash, but ended up shocking some. Both was aggressive the whole time. Neither one really got that first step ahead of the other during the match. Whoever chose the music for this match, thankyou. It's always a treat to watch a match with good music. I will be honest and say I marked for when Trevor kicked out of Iceberg's finisher. I'm also assuming that Iceberg didn't like that too well either because he had a big upset, and something to prove with this match. It seemed that all the momentum Iceberg had before the kick out due to just that as Trevor started on a offensive attack and just unleashing everything in his arsenal. It eventually led to a controversial countout as it seems someone doesn't want the TV title. Looks like backstage Smythe is pleaing with Alex to give Sasha her job back. Smythe gave our gm, Alex Robinson a week to reconsider the firing of Sasha. Interesting to see what developes out of this. Page 4- An rp by yours truly. I get some much needed stuff off my chest and it'll be a shame not to listen. Main event - OCW Ex Title 4/5- Hazard vs Jacob Trance - Trance has a real good Jericho of today feel about him and he needs to stick with it. Although he screams out, Miz rip off, but everyone atleast imaged their wrestler off another wrestler they liked. Valmont = is just a Lesnar/Orton crossover. However, like I was saying, I do think he has one of the best creative attires in OCW. It just stands out and probably what saves him from being similiar to the Miz because even though he is he does it well. I'll admit that I wasn't expecting much of this main event, but I was wrong. Even though it was taking a script out of TNA with showcasing the ex wrestlers in the main event, it worked here because both of them put on a good match. Wasn't dull, it kept me interested, had a nice flow of pace, and you could see that both was doing their best as it even lead to some botches which was funny. What's with everyone kicking out of finishers these days? It sorta makes finishers look weak in a way, but at the same time it does add excitement to the matches, especially ones that last near 20 min. :) Hazard did a good job as he got Trance limping first, but that would shortly change. I think with the way Hazard plays it's a risk and reward type of style. It payed off for him because he had the match won, but it backfired as he let Trance comeback. Near the end it was just a back and forth war where one was trying to get an advantage over the other and in the end it paid off for Trance. Props to both for putting on a good match for the main event, and congrats to the winner. I marked for what happened afterwards because we saw 2 men doing what they must to make a name of themselves. It says to me that they're hungry and hunger leads to interesting storylines. One can only imagine what will develope after the attack, and grand theft belt by Hazard, and Hostile. A new theme for Leonheart? Listening to the lyrics it fits perfect for how Leon is. It appears that Leon is demanding for his OCW title to return around his waist. Only we're treated with the source of why Ryder got the shot, and who the commissioner really is. He's none other than, and I mark btw, but none other than Guy Fausto. So it looks like for as long as Fausto is around, Leon won't touch the title. Seems like the hostile takeover just took a turn for the worse. What's in store for OCW? Page 5- I never thought I would see this, but someone got the balls to run over Mayhem. What would be the motivation to do such a thing? I guess we'll also be left wanting more to develope.
