  1. I know playing to win while making the match look good at the same time. I've played that way since I've been here. Not doing things just because I can.
  2. Legal? Yes Looks stupid? Yes
  3. Keep of the boards crap off the boards. No one wants to read your bitching.
  4. http://www.ocwfed.net/recapppv/Consequence%202009/conbanner2k9.jpg Enjoy Note: Starting today anything not turned in at the deadline. Or that was not talked about ahead of time with any of the gms, by ahead of time I mean at least 6 hours before the deadline will not be used. Even if it means shows that are not worth publishing.
  5. The only thing the staff members can do are stuff as far as posting shows, and match cards. Jaysin and Regan the two admins are the only ones who have access to anything else. Power 5 is on the big boss as well.
  6. I'm just happy to see we're getting contributions from a number of people. One thing I do wish though is that we didn't have to see intro vids every time someone comes out for an rp. From time to time it's cool for like a new champ, return, or debut. It just take forever for my browser to load when all those intros plus the matches end up on the same page.
  7. Keep things that are supposed to stay between the parties involved between the parties involved and off the boards, thank you. This is kind of pointless now, we covered that you don't think VV deserves to be champion. And the only reason you've been lobbying for a title shot is because he is someone you think you have a chance of beating. We've covered that VV doesn't think you deserve your contenders match because you pretty much disappeared in the past month or so. Just STFU do your shit, if you guys end up having to face each other over the title, please do something that is actually interesting and not based on this little spat on the boards that no one is really interested in. Then who ever wins that can work with Mayhem and then we'll be back to square one and the door is open for whoever wants to make their case to the main event to make it. There are only a couple people now so the door is wide open for everyone.
  8. This isn't showing effort. This is some thinking there shit doesn't stink, when it does. For people to show effort they actually need to put content into the shows, not just showing up and doing a match. This isn't OCF where it's just fight and go home. It needs to be 50% rp 50% in the ring. I'd rather see a show full of meaning RPs and no one commenting, that a show with half ass or no work with 6 pages full of comments.
  9. I personally would have went for KD and Mayhem. As KD has been on his role and Mayhem has been active and working hard pretty much all year. SDW dropped off just as much as Trips over the past month. But alas we've always had times where people who shouldn't be sniffing a title shot have been handed them. It's up to the champs and the guys facing them to give them the backhand and put them back in their place. My hope is that we see people actually putting together some somewhat compelling storylines and not just showing up and getting matches done. While seeing matches are great we all know the compelling stories are what sets things apart.
  10. Fun, one more hall of famer to put out hehe.
  11. If I want to rep the Hart Foundation, I'll rep the Hart Foundation. If you don't like it i'll put in UFC and ground and pound till you quit.
  12. When it comes to matches that are RPed or are edited a match is supposed to be played first to decide a winner. Then you go back and re shoot and edit things up. So I would say that is what happend and rather than a match they decided to go with the text/video thing. Theres only so much you can record in the came so using text is just neccisary at times. I get what you're saying though. That being said I was a bit disappointed with the end just because of how long Leon's run was. I wanted to actually see him lose in a match straight through.
  13. For as tough as it was to get to this show, it was a heck of a job. Good work to all of you who participated and got stuff turned in and finished. If it's only us we can still keep the place going but the effort needs to be there. Congrats to the winners and losers, new champions, and those who retained. On my match, the ending was legit and we didn't know it was going to play out as it did.
  14. Mabey we'll get an RP or something from the Captain of the ship as well.
  15. The GMs mistake was not announcing that there would be no Riot this week and leaving everyone out to dry. That being said it's not his job to ask for extra matches if people don't let him know that they are not going to get their matches done. His job is to go off the assumption that if you're booked you are going to get your stuff in on time. And if not you are going to let him know. This week those that were booked had half of Sunday to Wednesday to get get stuff done. Of the 5 matches booked 4 got done but only 3 got turned in. How anyone was expecting a good show on that short of notice, I don't know especially with only a few guys putting out stuff week in and week out. Let's see the week after WL 4 we had a title match, then we had 2 the the next week. So that was about 3 weeks ago this week. That's not to bad considering the PPV was initially supposed to be done 2 weeks ago. Fact is most people are not contributing much storyline wise. There are a number who have been but its not really enough. Forums are dead ATM because most of us here are at both sites so no reason to really post at both places which is fine. But that is not stopping people from taking 30min out of the week to make a meaningful contribution to a show here. Hopefully after this week and our hiatus some people will decide to contribute more.
  16. Good stuff, it was easy to follow and descriptive. Just know for RPs that are submitted in the show forum you would write like this. Nate walks into the room. Nate: You can't see me. Nate leaves. So action text is in bold. The talker's name is in bold. The words that are said are normal. Keep it up we need more use of the promo room.
  17. Back on the subject of the show, pretty decent one if time was taken to watch. KD is on a role, could see a Pride or International shot soon. Knox pulling it off was interesting. Wasn't sure he'd be able to take advantage at the finish. Even with the lack of activity since WL4 I'm still looking forward to the OCW title match. Leon really needs to get slapped one good time. I know its less active but those of us that are need to contiue and establish some angles to keep thing entertaining.
  18. Was he being sarcastic, just trying to spam another post to get his post count up like he did in the other threads today? I don't know. But I don't think it's need to tell him to set himself on fire. A person can just as easily be told it's our weekly show, and read the FAQ for any basic questions you might have and call it a day. After a person has been here for more than a few hours and has proven himself to be totally worthless then jump on him. KD is a perfect example, pretty much clueless at the jump it seemed, but with some people helping him out instead of casting aside he's actually become a decent member at this point.
  19. Not needed at all. We've seen plenty of people make just as out there. Help get people accustomed to OCW, and start em off on the right foot. Take a step down off the ladder everyone.
  20. the extra 12 hours is actually used to work on the show. it wasn't this week because there was really nothing to be worked on. All that needs to be done if you're stuff is gonna be in after the deadline is just let the gm know before the deadline comes so he can prepare the show as if your stuff will be there.
  21. No it's back to normal because even with the new deadline people were still getting stuff in after the old deadline. So it's no point expecting something he's not going to get.
  22. I'd disagree that the deadline is an issue. If people can get stuff in for TNT on Monday nights they can get it done for Wednesday at 12noon EST. If you're gonna wait till the last minute get it done Tuesday night.
  23. If they didn't get their stuff in and didn't make arrangements or let you know before the deadline don't use the stuff. And just don't book them the next week. You don't need to hold the show back almost 24 hours after the deadline. It's not like last week when the deadline was new. Unless they're in the hospital or their net is down no excuse with atleast not communicating with you.
  24. As I talked to Steve about in private. With a front fin you get 1.5 secs, with a ground fin its much more time. So it's easier from that perspective. To each his own, you can shake your head but you can't hate on someone for doing it.
  25. Its to each his own. I guess. Like for me I'm not going to do a knock down punch or quick grab right into my ground finisher. Its gonna be my fig move spot, drop toe hold, full nelson facebuster, and very rarely a ddt. I do it because IMO ground finishers are easier to hit and IMO I feel I'm taking the easy way out If I go for a ground finish without the set up. Same reason I won't hit a finisher on someone on the move that turns them finishable. Nothing against the rules but it just makes me sigh like a number of other things that are done that aren't against the rules.
