Remember in the riot review I said something like it was a good match but I got sad at 22 minutes something...he let you out of the pin didn't he? the kickout bar never turned green....let me rewatch it!

Just to be clear, I never said he'd wipe the floor, I just said I had him taking it, I actually think it will be pretty close , last week Mugen let Drago out of a finisher , which was disappointing, so I think Drago will be out for blood this week.

Prediction corner - [bored at work ] Sean McGee vs. Drago Cesar Looking forward to this one, I got Drago taking it. Illuminati vs. Nathan Carter Illuminate , although this will be a tough battle as Nathan , for a rook , is no pushover Golden Hayes vs. The Crew Won't comment on my own match. K'Dangelo vs. AC Cobra I got KD, as he will be out for revenge, and thirsty, AC made him a transitional champ, not a good look for the seasoned vet. Hardcore TV Championship Hardcore Champ vs. Austin Lee I got the current champ [Rane] retaining in this one. Bombshell/Maiden Match Bertha Stigglitz vs. Eerie Sunshine I tossed a coin here.

Technically he didn't get a 'shot' , just an 'storyline opportunity' :p Hardcore title is weekly competition :( I wonder if there's any way we could make the Hardcore title cross-platform , I'm sure we could work in a ps4 match on Riot and vice versa...suppose it could only change shows though if some has both a ps4 and an xbox one.

Also, it depends on how you are categorizing 'lower level' , are you talking character wise, or person controlling the characters? As , for example, Smythe is Main Event, but Ron Portman is lowercard [i know he's an alt] Or take yourself for example, Dupree is Main Event, but he's retired, so Buddy is your main, but he is lower card at the moment, with a main event level handler , so it depends on how you look at it.

And yet not 2 weeks ago it was booked between Jookie and KD..which kind of kills your point , and hammers home the point we don't have enough legit 'lower card' guys to validate having the title active. So we either need to elevate it to lower/mid card status, and have NA as Upper-Mid status , or essentially move the Hardcore title to Turmoil, as they seem to have all the legit, non-alt lower level guys. It just seems like we are scraping around for people to book in the match ,which kind of kills it , in my opinion , as it will end up going the route it ALWAYS does when we rush that belt active again , with a mid-uppermid-card guy holding it and crushing all the lower guys...but I don't book..so what do I know. ;p

That's a nice looking card, yet the booking behind the Hardcore title match baffles me, [and no offense to Austin] but a man who has lost his last 2-3 matches getting a title shot is complete bizarro world booking. I get we aren't 'all about the wins' ...but there has to be an element of common sense atleast!

That last kickout is probably the closest one I've seen so far this year, adding to the tension as I missed it the first time! We were both in shock when it landed and made for a great OMG moment. I'm pretty hit and miss when it comes to that dam kickout bar, but the lucky turtle bones I had in my pocket paid off :p

He revealed such things as 'He once ate part of his own foot to get out of a bar debt [his little toe]' , 'He held onto a bucking bronco for over 4 minutes using only his teeth' , 'As a grown man, he once sat down to pee..through his own choice' and 'He once watched the entire Godfather trilogy without a single bathroom break'. Many more 'facts' of his exploits made their way into the light in the weeks that followed , with each week the legend continued to grow , and he began to crush his way through the OCW roster , and started the famous 'Hunt for the HMS Matsuda'. He tried to 'take the gold' from the OCW Ex champion in any way he could, each time failing miserably, from dumping a ton of sushi and squid onto the head , then swinging drunkenly from the rafters and crashing into of Matsudas' female hair stylist [she had the exact same 'long flowing black sails' as Matsuda] to clearing an entire Japanese restaurant thanks to a massive panic attack because someone mentioned the word 'shark'. Along his pursuit he get tangled in a feud with OCW mouthpeice Bobby Minio , who was determined to prove that Cut-Throat wasn't a real pirate , the feud which ensued was epic, and only built the legend to feverish heights, from a broom handle sword fight which took them around the entire arena , to the 'I Quit' match they had at Wrestlution. Cut-Throat emerged victorious , he 'sank Booby Minnow' and continued to unsuccesfully hunt the HMS Matsuda , he finally caught up with his prey at the 10 year Anniversary edition of Riot, they proceeded to have an epic and bloody battle involving everything possible that wasn't nailed down, Matsuda won the match , and 'sailed off' with his 'belly full of gold' to quote C-T. Cut-Throat would then leave OCW for a short time , after hearing rumors that his grandfather, the legendary pirate Crossbones , was still alive , the one man on this earth that Cut-Throat feared , he caught upto Crossbones and defeated him in battle, claiming the fabled 'Mask of Bones' as his own, and assuming the mantle of Crossbones , the greatest pirate that ever lived. Only time will tell if the mask makes the man, or the man makes the mask....one thing is for sure though....THE LEGEND CONTINUES!!!! Hoist the Colours!!

Am I the only one who wonders why the hell KD has a somersault dropkick? I really wish people who have running finishers would use some kind of set up for them first, looks so much better...that finish would have been perfect if you bounced off the ropes first, instead it just looks 'uuugh'. The finish to Drago vs Smythe legit made me shed a tear through laughter..jesus christ...NO SELL. More later

To answer your question about the I Quit match Cody, it was kind of 50/50. It made better sense storyline wise as Bobby has been desperate for me to admit I'm not a real pirate, then we played a few LMS matches and they are HORRIBLE.....so, SO broken. You could lose a match, undamaged, in the first 10 seconds off an eye poke..ridiculous. So the I Quit was better all round.

Poor Little Fish, took a nasty steps bump there. Ouch.

I assure ye sir, there isn't nothing slapstick about a mop and broom sword fight, the threat of death by splinter alone is 66%. Not to mention , second hand dirty water poisoning, or the side effects of the dreaded 'Janitor Syndrome' .

Some stuff that stood out to me on the show. The 'rookie' division looks very interesting at the moment, with myself, Bobby, Luke, Drago, King Tyga and the addition of Jonny D and Wheeler. As much as Pugh and Trance 'don't like each other' their play style really complements each other, was a good match to watch. Sid Harrison spends all this time rp'ing about being a biker, yet doesn't come to the ring on a motorbike? Strange considering there are 2 bike intro's in the game, Chuck Palumbo and the American Badass Undertaker ones. Nice spot in the Bobby vs Sid match where Bobby goes for an outside springboard dropkick to Sid who is laid out on a table, only for it to be reversed and Bobby goes through said table. I don't really think Drago's finisher is impactful enough to be used as a finisher, just my opinion though, also wanted him to look like Kraven the hunter :( but the Zoo Keeper look fits too. I like KD's jacket logo, not keen on the music for an entrance though.
