Tiberius Dupree Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 What I'm trying to get at is if your going to be a Showman you have to have the right move sets, the right personality, carry yourself the right way in and out of the ring You can't just be a showman with a technical move set, or a powerhouse move set. Its the same thing as being a flyer and having the walls of jericho. Just because you taunt after every move doesn't mean your a showman. 90% of Showman are faces, there a very few exceptions. And I don't see many heels in OCW that carry that banner. Stop making me turn face. My character doesn't work as a face. I hate everyone. It's a principle nature to the character. :(

Now if you want to have a billion people with that class running around OCW, then what am I to say bout that.... We can only come to a consensus of a handful of Showman that were non faces and that did tech-like or Power-like moves... So unless everyone is willing to completely re-do their move sets to match the true definition of a showman (Face or Heel), Letting all those former Generalist roll to showman will become a bit on the cheese side and more changes would have to be made... Would require damage to use a finisher to prevent people from popping finishers left and right or something.(Something I think should be anyway cause Finisher 5 moves into the match is usually pretty stupid) But gonna see more evidence and such as times goes on. Nothing's in stone. 1

Mostly because in the ring they have specific moves and actions that they've made famous over time... (Mind you they've removed my one handed backbreaker and my finisher :( )... But Smythe and Fausto are heels that care a tad too much about how they're wrestling over winning... Clear examples for Fausto is his devastating chinlock finshing move... The random Guyionsault... His patented "nut shot" he uses to beat Smythe consistantly... Fausto, while akward, has an distinct style with his moves... Smythe on the other hand just taunts instead of attacks at times... And has the frame of an NBA player but uses moves that take advantage of leverage and mobility as opposed to raw power... Examples would be kicks to the gut and back, and numerous non-lifting moves... Then the massive toss into the air to show he has a power side if he wanted... But just choses not to... Pretty much over the years Smythe and Fausto developed into heel showmen... Also of that development against each other... Chris Baxter Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 i played 1 match as a showman for the hell of it .. im keeping sub style .. though i would be a lot happier with 5 more speed .. the rest i can handle .. just that slow grappling speed is bothersome .. though its weird .. im a sub guy but would rather win off the destroyer ... i wish we had the old mash system ᛨ ꖾᚣᛠᛊ ᚴᛜᏌ ᛕᚣᛢᛢ
Brandon Hostile Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Also, if Showman does end up being overpowered with the tweaks, I'll be quick to get it nerfed. They're basically what Generalist was with extra Charisma, which from what I've seen, doesn't do much. Of course, since we don't know everything about it's engine, there might be some stupid little perk that opens up at 90 charisma we don't know about yet, so bleh. We are essentially balancing around something we can only decipher through anectdotal evidence and imperfect tests. From online play, I notice people get 3 finishers... You don't mean anything. You're insignificant and you will never know what hate is.
Shamulua Jr Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 I was pretty bummed about no more Generalist i didn't know where to shift my wrestler but i didn't end up going with showman, i went with Technical seems to be the best fit. When Shamulua's Music hit's you know one thing is certain, you are about to witness non stop destruction on his opponent, careless of the victory, yet so determined to unleash pain and suffering.
