The curious case of cody :I think way to much: storm.

 

Cody is an intersting case he came here from what I can only assume now is a defunct or in active fed. He did not come alone as part of a group of rookies who where put on ambition. Long story short they all flaked yet cody remained. By chase he was chosen for a storyline with the payoff being a slot on riot.

 

Thaats the thing with cody he seems to be at the right place at the right time . With a hell of a showing against cross cody earned his promotion to riot. Along they way he has gone from zero black svr random caw to hogan angle a much much needed change. Codys luck would continue as he earned the ocw tv championship. To say cody has had a good start would be an understatement.

 

We fast forward to wrestlelution and the future investment which sees mr storm walking out victorious. So let's recap in case you are lost in a shoty span of time mr storm has managed to get promoted to riot, become the television champ, and win the future investment. I should say former champ but editing on phone is tought. No one is talking about it but they should mr storm is the front runner for breakout rookie of the year. And with the fi case the sky is the limit let's just hope assholes don't be like hai let's fued fer ya casebro. Storm has earned all his stripes thus far and shows when you get a shout you run as fast as you can with it.

Storm has rose fast and he's doing pretty cool/big things, but i look at the case as a gimmick like it is in the E it has to be feuded over, it just has to be done the right way, and I'm sure he has a plan in his head next to the horrible wet dreams of Hulk Hogan. EDGE made the E's case, and Leon made ours, in my opinion, but Storm should definitely be doing something with it other than sitting on it and waiting, it's almost just as good as a title. But what i will say is, i hope he is not hasty to challenge Mr. 'Hem because that dude would stop that rise real quick. Suffice to say I'm interested to see what Storms does.

Thoughts.....

 

Seeing RD Opening up Lution was awesome. He's a legend and his just being there signifies the big stage that is Lution. He looked the Rock during his return, all muscled up looking like he was going to come back to action. Either way I was impressed that Lotus had the balls to take him out, and make a name for themselves. I was happy to see RD get some offense in as he is a champion and Hall of Famer. However, damn Pato is a monster.

 

Cody Storm winning the FI was nice. He's had quite a journey here and it's always fun to see new stars being built. I haven't really followed in a while that closely but I hope Cody ends up going face because I could definitely buy into him as one

 

Jookie had a solid promo with some funny lines. I wish he'd dominate a bit more as he could be a vital asset to the EX Division. His fued with KD was solid, and was nice it was solid to culminate it at Lution. I know a lot of work went into it.

 

Ryder suprised me a bit with his match choice for Lution. I know the storyline was built for it but I was a little disappointed that it was a "ref" match. Wasn't happy that ref 2 got some offense in as if it's gonna be a squash match make it quick. However, Ryder redeemed himself in my book(not that it really matters) with his 3rd Ref. Well played and I hope he stays around for a while. Even if he doesn't thank you for a great Lution Moment.

 

Title match, I liked the build. I'm not a huge fan of multi-man matches for titles as a main event match, but if anyone can pull it off it's these 4. Dane in there was a suprise if you go on past history, but lets face it he's earned his spot here. Trips is a man's man and the silent assassin. He's gonna do work. Parker is a badass. However one gripe with Parker, don't wear fuckin converse to the ring. Wear wrestling boots. Small pet peeve. Mayhem what else can be said about him. He's a legend a beast, and overall he's a champion of epic standings. I wish Mayhem would accept that he's sorta a tweener now, because of the old school standing he has and because let's face it none of us like Dane. Either way I wasn't disappointed with the finish so to speak. I'll be the first to tell you back in the day Mayhem was the cheesiest fuck around, and I think he can attest to that. He's gotten better with it, but let's face it to be a dominate champion like him you have to have the win when you can mentality. He's a beast and should have earned everyone's respect with that type of victory

 

I loved the Sensation vs Smythe match. It had the type of build I love, the match itself was great, and seeing Nate come out was amazing. Had Nate heel turned it woulda been a shocking Lution moment, but regardless I was glad he came out and we saw the Ortiz Express and the Ortiz Xpress. Great Job to Smythe and Jay on that match.

 

Speaking of Lotus, you guys are awesome. For a rookie group I'm so glad to see the initiative you guys have taken and the humbleness you've shown. Credit to RD Money for working with you guys and putting you over. Also the allignment with Leon and the further beatdown of Bentley was interesting. Have to be honest I thought the secondary fight woulda been the best time to see Royce come out and help out his dad. That would have been a cool Lution moment as well. I woulda done it as well but I was already on the stretcher.

 

Speaking of Lotus again I'm digging Dupree. He's someone I would have loved to work with and pass off the whole face of the EX and good guy thing. I liked how without fear he took on Lotus. I would have liked to see him come down to attempt to help RD as well. Or at least come down and help me out just sayin ;)

 

As for my piece, that was legitimate. I'm officially retiring, and I'm glad I could at least say thank you to Mr. Sensation as well as you guys for making this place so enjoyable for me. I'm also glad I could help the returning Poe go over some. Let's face it if I had the opportunity to help someone out I was going to. I'm sure RD felt the same way, we have no agenda and nothing to really benefit from trying to get ourselves over and refusing to help others. I hope Poe flourishes and it looks like RD and myself might have to come beat some people down soon when we heal up

Fausto Promo

You always make me laugh Fausto, always. And I hate you for that, you're an asshole so I shouldn't laugh at you xD. But your promo is very true, you put Royce through a shit ton and it's a hell of a story that he's still here. You treat Black like shit, build your match, and have a great view for the five star match set to start next......

 

Future Investment!

I'm just joking, not a five star xD. It was a five star to play though, I had so much fun with Jones and Leon (botting Crowe). The original video has our voices over the gameplay and Jones is fucking hilarious. That stupid layover of Jones hitting Burg with the pipe took forever to get to work, I'm so inept with editing programs. Oh, and by the way, to what Hostile said about Crowe's music, I bought the real song off of Itunes and forgot to edit that part out, my bad.

 

Anyway, on to the match. I thought that we all played fair, I'm sorry that sometimes there were some spots where we weren't doing too much, and I tried my hardest to hit the powerbomb off of the ladder, BUT there were a ton of cool spots. Jones moonsault, granted he missed, my spinning suplex onto the ladder :D, and Crowe's gory bomb looked great. That alley oop bomb onto the ladder made me laugh so hard. I'm sorry that I ended it off of a groggy grapple, but it was getting late and we were all tired and we were all happy with the match. I had a great time playing it guys.

 

Mayhem Promo

If I didn't know better I'd start calling you Cory Bragg (a wrestler in my old fed whose almost exactly like Mayhem, not as directly related to the devil but huge brute who works for evil and destroys everyone that gets in the ring with him). Your promos are right on point with what your character is, but sometimes the vocab is just so intense I guess that I find myself looking at it going, man, he's pissy!

 

Dimsmore vs Ernsmore

I thought this was a great match, though I am still sad the Heart of the Tiger didn't prevail. Like him or hate him, I'm quite indifferent myself, Ernsmore has been racking up the wins, and I suppose that means he deserves to be the champion.

 

Pato vs Leon

Another great match! and more great build up, I love the song Hero and it fits for this occasion for sure. After everything you were saying before the match took place Leon I'm very excited for you that you were able to pull out the win. Putting the big Samoan down with two punt kicks is a hell of a feat, taking two punt kicks is a hell of a feat. You overcame something you thought that you couldn't, and that makes me more excited to watch what happens next.

 

Royce Bentley vs Guy Fausto

This match was home to move of the night. I'm going to just skip all of the prefacing and go right to the ending. That powerbomb was fantastic. To relate it back to Royce's father, to have everything come back full circle. The rookie, the boy, the 2nd generation superstar, finally gets his first big win and job security by channeling his father and bombing Fausto off of the Cell.

 

Four Way World Title Match

Ok, first off, Dane, FUCK YOU. Your entrances are far too good and for that I shall hate you forever! The hype video, again very nice. You have four very different personalities going at it, yet again through the fact that they all are such big characters they are very similar.

 

Dane - Dane's the rich boy. He's using his money to get what he wants and that is nice and all but obviously it only got you so far. He snapped recently, he just, something clicked? I don't know what kind of transformation you went under really but you upped your intensity by about a billion and it's fantastic. I can see you as a legit main eventer now just because of that. Intensity is everything.

 

Parker - We want to speak on intensity, we can't forget this badass. This is THE badass. Parker, you literally brawled your way into this match, this wasn't your match, but you wouldn't take no for an answer. That's phenomenal. Your no nonsense, kick every ass you see is cool. You're like a muscular Red Foreman, except your a world title contender.

 

Trevor - As I've said time and time again, the fact that you're fighting for the righteousness makes me mark. As someone who ultimately believes in karma (actually my belief seems to fluctuate xD) I can't help but pull for you here man. You're the only true face in this match, you need to take this belt. If you win this match, you will not see me cashing in any time soon, there are far too many bad people on the roster for us to be fighting.

 

Mayhem - You, you're kind of a beast (just a tad bit). As I said before, you remind me of Cory Bragg. And that scares me. Cory was pretty much unbeatable. You're massive frame, and powerful moveset will be very formidable tools to see you into this match.

 

As for the match, the main topic here seems to be about the finish. Mayhem, I don't love the finish, but I did pretty much the same thing you did in my match. I'm sure you got tired, and fighting Parker he won't stay down, so you did what you needed to do, nothing wrong with that. The match was great, lots of action, and since both of you kick out like beasts it was really down to the wire. I really enjoyed Trevor and Dane's involvement as well, you two made the match much better with the initial team up and the buildup before the match.

 

With all of that being said. I hope you place as big a target on my head as I'm placing on yours Mayhem.

 

Second RD Promo

....... That's it. I quit. Leon you're a pussy. Evolved, evolved my ass. Can't beat them so join them? Some Heart. I'll tell you what though, LOTUS just gained two members in one night, and two members who have proven earlier in the night they came to make a difference. That's not ok. And with Leon now in the mix I see LOTUS having much more of an effect on Riot.

 

Ok, out of character. Leon the fact that you're helping these guys out is amazing. You've been one of the most helpful guys I've met here and that means alot to me and I'm sure all of the other rooks. Thank you. You're still pussy.

 

The Main Event

I knew this was going to be good, but this was astoundingly awesome guys. The gameplay was great, but the "moments" were fantastic! I honestly had no idea how this was going to go. I didn't see Jay giving up his company, but Smythe is simply that good. The unpredictability made this the perfect ending main event to me.

 

I thought that the use of Nate was well placed. I think on one hand it seems strange he answered the call in that match but ignored Dane, but at the same time you are family so it makes sense. You hit Smythe with everything and he just wouldn't go down, after your long speech and then the kickout, I thought you were doomed Jay. But then Nate runs out, spears his ass, and you hit another Sensational Kick!!! I marked big time! It was an awesome ending, and let us all end Lution with a good feeling.

 

 

 

I obviously haven't been here for any other Lutions, and I know all about the "good ol' days" curse. but I felt that this show was amazing, and I hope that all of the legends and vets feel the same way. I know everyone put their hearts into this one and did all of their best work. I had an awesome time watching it guys. Thank you for all of your hard work, especially you Jay with all of the editing and piecing together.

 

 

 

[Useless Dane Xavier]

Dupree/Matsuda was everything I expected it to be and more. Done very well.
