Enjoyed the show nice surprise at the end. It's was a great way to get the ball rolling on the new season.

 

As far as Cody's title shot, I feel like there should have been a set PPV or show for the match. I agree that the ball was sort of dropped on the return but that's water under the bridge now. I know I was gone for a few years but sometimes it was the guy who didn't have a feud going on that got the title shot. So what happens then? The champ would work an angle with the guy anyway. Even if he was in a feud the champ and all involved would just work around it. If the champ loses they get a rematch or the other plans just have to change. Wrestlution 1 was a perfect example of that. The guy if fought in my first OCW title match Tyranny won KoOCW and got a shot. Had no real feuds or anything before that. But I was working with Versus the whole time and was the planned Main Event. So in order to make it all work out the way we wanted I had to win.

 

I'm not saying you should put your angle on hold or anything. But maybe the staff should come together and say at the next The Clash or what ever the set date is Cody will get his shot. If he doesn't have that momentum that you all want, whoever is involved can work with him to get it there.

 

I've always believed that we are RP driven with competition. When someone wins a shot they should get it without have to prove more than beating the guys they had to beat to earn the shot.

I had to fight Trips for crying out loud in my first match on a new game for the title. He wasn’t exactly main event level when he fought me but I beat him. I had story lines going but I still had to fight other people so I can understand what people are saying. But what I will say is even now I have never asked for anything or any title shot and believe me back in the good old glory days it was a lot harder because the roster was huge. There are people that ask for title shots and you just need to know. The more you ask, the less likely you are going to get one.

 

I said to Jay and I will say it here too, the belt has become too scripted now and I hate people who boast about long reigns when they hardly have many defences and this isn’t a shot at Pugh cause he hasn't been champion for all that long yet, I am going back the past few years.

 

Nate and Guy Fausto had an angle going when I decided I was going to cash in the FI. Guy Fausto hated three ways and he could have told me no and that I am not getting involved but instead we worked around it. They then helped me get to the next level and that’s what some of you of today need to do as well. Help them people. People can shit on me all they want but I have spent a lot of my time helping the new generation. I am not taking credit on their success but I have always been the person that helps out, just like others did for me. If people get the opportunity then you have to put in the work as well. Like Parker said it isn’t about just being the best guy at the game. You have to have storylines and you need to work your ass off. We have had great champions and people that do fuck all with it. Just remember the championship doesn’t make you. Look at the A-Team for proof of that.

 

You also got to prove you’re the man by defending the championship. That’s what I did and that’s how I earned my place in the Hall of Fame because I am by no means a great writer. If you have a storyline then you work around it. This should be the case for every championship in OCW.
